What I learned is that even though my bike wasn't in "perfect" shape, it was still safe to ride. And they didn't try to upsell me on a major tune-up, just for the sake of business. I might have mentioned the chain was acting up - I don't get it serviced often enough - and perhaps they could check it and replace it if necessary? Got the bike back but didn't use for a few months. When I did, chain was waaay worse after spending nearly $100 than before. Like it was falling off the derailleurs even more than before. By a lot. To top it all off, chain straight out broke a few days later. When I went I complained, they replaced the chain. Not that much apology, no indication how they missed it in the servicing. And, as far as I could figure full price for the chain and service in doing so.

They always charge fair prices and if a new repair comes up, they will call you first to confirm the additional repairs before doing so. Scheduling is super easy, you can just call on the phone and they will tell you when you can drop it off. If it is a super simple repair like fixing a flat, usually you can just drop in and drop it off. I had my sexy gravel bike (see photo) and e-bike repaired here. Some bike shops are scared to touch ebikes, but this shop is one stop shop and does it. Just really happy with the fair pricing and great customer service. RAD cycles keep doing what you do.

I just had a latte but I opted for oat milk - my first time. The oat milk gave the latte a more rich flavour and I quite liked it. I was just sad that my latte was finished too quickly, perhaps because I liked it so much. People are nice there, and chatty at just the right rate. There are not a lot of seats but that's what I like about it. Keep it quiet for a gentle conversation with my friend. The wifi allows one to work a bit if they choose. I will return for more.

Every shop had a bike in the price point that I was looking for - they were all good, but I chose these folks for a number of reasons: 1. They spent time with me to help me understand the pros and cons of each style (road bike vs hybrid) 2. They asked me about my route and terrain 3. They were really nice folks 4. They have a super rad cat that hangs out in the shop They have good quality bikes in pretty much every price range, new and used. I will go back to these guys for service and bikes for my kids.

The technician arrived late and advised that the bikes should take 3 hours based on the service packages we chose. He advises that the bikes are all in great working order and nothing needs any major maintenance or to be replaced. This is not true, but that's besides the point. The services we paid for, over $600, were simply not completed properly. Careless, rushed work.

I told him that one of the shifters on my bike would not click (i.e. shift). I had previously taken the whole shifter apart, soaked it in kerosene, doused it with WD-40, reassembled it, and it still would not click. Alex pointed out that my bicycle's bell was so close to the shifter that its strap was under the shifter and causing the problem. Who knew? I expected him to charge me, but he did not, which was another bonus. Apart from making me feel stupid (which was probably an inevitable part of the process) it could not have been a better experience.

Their prices are a bit higher than others around there, but I think the quality of their bikes make up for it. The experience of renting the bike was smooth as you only need to provide a credit card on file before you rent and are only charged after you return the bikes. This removes the hassle of calculating how long you would want to rent the bikes for. They also provide helmets so you don't need to bring anything with you. I'll be sure to stop by there again before summer ends for sure :)
