We rented three bikes from this shop. The location was the closest from our hotel AND their price was pretty good at $35/day and they offered to match competitor price and give discounts. Later I realized though that the ads actually said 10% off competitor price but the guy only gave us 5% so it brought down the rental price to $28 since the competitor price I found online (I didn't do a lot of research since I wasn't planning to have to do this) was $29.95/day. They gave us a lock and helmet (you have to wear helmet to bike in Vancouver) and gve us directions to Stanley Park. At the end of the day, when we returned our bikes, my friend told the guy how her bike was not balance and the guy gave her a discount, nice! Also, I checked in on YELP so we got additional 25% off!! sweeetttttt!!! All in all, we ended up paying about $26/day for each bike including tax! What I appreciate the most was that they honored the variety of discounts..one to match the competitor price and second the yelp check in discount despite the fact that I checked in on yelp (and discovered about the discount) at the end of the trip and they gave all three of us discounts (even though I was the only one with Yelp apps). The bikes were also pretty good. My chain got derailed bc I probably didn't change the gear correctly but after a very nice Vancouver local helped us fixed the chain, I had no problem with the bike. Also, the seats were pretty comfie, I still felt sore on my bootie after 8+ hours biking but it would have been a lot worse if the seat was one of those tiny ones!!! I certainly recommend renting from them...and make sure to check in on YELP and do your research ahead of time regarding the competitor prices so that you get the best deal! :) read more

I really like these guys! I had a couple of groupons for bike tune-ups for mine and my son's bike. Sam was great and went through the few things that needed replacing and what looked good. My bike is pretty old and my brother built it for me. My son's was bought off craigslist and wasn't expensive at all. I half expected them to scoff at our rudimentary vehicles but they were super cool and helpful. I decided to buy one of their nice, squishy bike seats too as my ride to work seems to involve a lot of bumps. They have some gorgeous looking bikes in this store and they also do rentals. When I first checked in on yelp I unlocked a $7 one hour bike rental with a lock and helmet included. It notes that student discounts are available too. I'd definitely take my bike back in here and I'd also check them out for accessories. My bike no longer makes funny sounds when I change gears and my bum is happy on the fat seat I got. read more

Do business here! I found Sam and his place via Yelp. The reviews combined with close proximity made my decision easy. Upon arrival, he was with helping some guests but quickly acknowledged my presence, feels good to be greeted. I informed him I found him via Yelp and understood I was a walk-in but kindly asked if they had availability... he accommodated. I was helped by a young man who went over quick paperwork, gave me a helmet, asked how I wanted to ride, picked a bike and gave me simple instructions.The process itself was under 10mins if that. The ride around Stanley Park was breathtaking! I rode solo off a recommendation from a local bartender I met two days prior, such a relief as I stopped and went at my pace instead of a group. It took me 2hrs but I went all the way to Rogers Center and back. There are multiple places to rent a bike in Vancouver but this place felt right. This place was amazing! Highly recommend! STAFF - Super friendly, very helpful and knowledgeable (tourist places to go, rules about bike lanes in the city, time estimates of how long specific trails would take, where it would be crowded, etc.). They gave me a wonderful greeting when I came in and also when I came back from my ride, asking me how it was. They gave me a 10% discount when I returned two days in a row! In particular, Jesse was so friendly and warm, as was another employee (I can't remember his name - brownish hair, from Colombia, young). BIKES - Both days I rented, the bikes were great. No complaints at all. You can borrow helmet for free (if you want to wear one), and they also allow you to rent bike locks and baskets for a very small additional price. read more

Worst customer service!!!! Gave me a bike not sure if it got a flat before after I rented but when I came back after hauling it from Stanley park they tried to charge me for the full rental. When I complained that the majority of the time I was walking back with the bike they said "I'm giving you good customer service. I'm not charging for the flat." SERIOUSLY?... Worst experience ever. This is a bike rental shop. don't go here expecting to service your bike, or to buy any parts or accessories. they will sell you road tubes - that's it. no pedals, cleats, bottle cages, clothing, nothing. they don't know how to service bikes. they've got a half-decent mechanic who does the best he can, but i wouldn't get my ride tuned up here. no way. from what i see, they do a great job at bike rentals. read more

Super-friendly staff and zero wait. (We arrived late morning on a Tuesday.) The bikes had multiple speeds, which was helpful on our tour of Stanley Park. We were in and out with bikes in less than 10 minutes. For about ~1.5 hours of biking, only cost us a little over $20. Biking Stanley Park was super fun!! My only qualm was that the chains sometimes slipped off the gear when switching into first gear... had to avoid that gear. Funny story though: my honey left her eyeglasses pouch on the counter while trying on a helmet, and accidentally left them behind. The manager, seeing the pouch, asked another customer who was purchasing a bike, "are these yours?" The customer said yes, and took them. We called back when we found the glasses were missing, and the manager acknowledged seeing the eyeglass pouch and promised to track it down. Apparently, he found the aforementioned customer, who replied, "Oh, I thought these were a gift." In what world does every bike purchase comes with free eyeglasses? The nerve of some people. They tried to trick me. This morning I went to the store since the rim of my bike was completely bent. I was not convinced by the price and asked if they had something second hand, a common practice in this type of place. He said yes, the price was fine (over $ 100) and I went. My surprise was to pick it up this afternoon and spin the repaired wheel and see that it was totally off-center, almost like the original wheel. The employee has started to get aggressive and has told me that "that's what you get if you buy second-hand", I explained to him that it is dangerous and that I could center it since I wanted it and I have seen that the wheel centering machine was in sight. He told me no and finally he put the wheel broken in a bad way, when he was walking with it home, due to the friction of the brake and the tire, the rubber has exploded. Quite disappointed, they have usually treated me well although I have always felt that they wanted to cheat me, giving me the prices without calculating and always haggling and it was always good, but today, this was the cherry on the top. read more

Hi Sam, Why would I say I got it repaired 2 days ago when I had a receipt in my hand saying it was 10 days? I had initially said 14 days to give you the benefit of the doubt, don't you remember? Would have been great to know there is only a 2 day warranty on flat tires. Glad people know this now. And yes the bike was bought in April 2018 and serviced by you days after purchase on April 4 2018. Do you understand that your customers feel cheated when they pay you to service their bike and you don't provide them that service just 4 days after they paid you for that specific reason? Then you accuse them of wanting free stuff when they come back and tell you something is still wrong with their bike 4 days later after you took their payment? Free stuff? Did you repair the inner tube for free the first time? I was asking you to repair something I paid you 4 days prior and you still didn't fix it properly. I should have asked for a refund and that still wouldn't be free cause the inner tube was still flat 4 days later. I was quite pleased with the service provided during the tune up and recommended your shop to numerous people. After this debacle I can no longer do so. read more

Near Stanley Park with quick access to the trail. Helmets (free) mandatory by law so no whining. Plan to pay extra: $5 for a basket, if needed, and $2 for each lock. You'll need an ID and a credit card. Pay when you return. The bikes are in good shape, most with hand brakes & gears shifts. It was 1.5 hours from start to finish on the busy trail, going counterclockwise. $35 for two bikes, including one basket and two locks. Friendly and accommodating fellows on staff. read more

I've been to this place three times now either either servicing/repairs or to buy some bike parts. Each time the service has been friendly, fair and honest. On my last visit, Tyler went above and beyond to not only repair an annoyingly slow leak in one of my bike tires, but to also take the time to explain the number of possibilities as to why the tire was likely leaking in the first place. I appreciated that he took the extra time to try determine what the problem(s) might be and then he went ahead and made the necessary repairs. He later explained all that he did and what he charged me in the end was more than fair and very reasonable. I will continue to go to this shop for all my repairs and service. Great staff, great selection, great bikes great location (2 short blocks to riding path)! Very professional. Helmets were clean and looked like new. Bikes worked flawlessly. They got us on our way in minutes. They charge by the hour and you pay whatever you use when you return. We when around Stanley Park and down the gravel trails in the park. Smooth ride! There were some places a few dollars less but when I saw the selection at those places a couple days previous, I decided the ability to have more choice was worth a couple bucks. My wife and I were passing through Vancouver on vacation in August of 2013. We noticed this shop on the way to Stanley Park. Sam helped us get set up with bikes and gave us some tips about traffic in the area and around the park. He also said if the bikes had any problems, to call him and he'd send somebody to help. The other young guy in the shop was also very friendly and helpful. When we got back, Sam noticed that we had gotten back earlier than we'd planned and charged us less than anticipated. Good experience all around. It is a bit further from the park than some other shops, but if you're walking down from the hotel area, it is on the way to the park! I'd recommend this shop. read more
