The entire crew from the front desk, to the deck, hands to the captain, are all amazing and make you feel safe. The crew here are seriously the BEST. even people that work here always dive with them on their day off that's how great these guys are! The boat is great, freshwater showers, and an upper deck seating area with great views. They even have a fresh water hose on board to rinse your gear off. Other Dive operations in Key West don't allow this. they want you to use their dunk tanks back on shore. Captains corner is also the most popular dive shop in Key West, which I like as a solo diver. It's easy to pair up with a buddy on board. This is important because in the Florida Keys most dive shops do not automatically give you a Dive guide in the water. You have to pay extra for a guide, so make sure you have a buddy! Also because they are more popular shop, they are less likely to cancel on you for having not enough people on board. Captains corner is more dependable with daily trips. My Favorite dive site is the Vandenberg shipwreck. It's an advanced dive 100 feet depth so they make sure only advanced divers with the proper experience can go for everyone's safety. If you aren't advanced, you can get your advanced certification through them, so you can do this Dive!

It was a full-blown guys' trip reunion style drinks flowing, stories getting louder, and somewhere between laughs and bad ideas, skydiving became the mission. One of the boys had been going through it after losing his dad, and like something straight out of The Bucket List, we said, "Let's do it." Sounded great... until about 2 a.m. when I woke up mid-dream, falling through the sky with no chute. That's when reality tapped me on the shoulder: why in the hell would anyone jump out of a perfectly good airplane? Morning comes, and they pack us into this plane like sardines. No gentle takeoff either we hit the runway and shoot up so steep I'm practically lying on the guy behind me. The whole ride felt like we were defying gravity in the wrong direction, wobbling and climbing like a soda can in a windstorm. Then we hit altitude door opens, engine cuts, and suddenly... silence. The kind that crawls up your spine. One by one, my buddies disappear out that door, and with each jump the plane rattles like it's questioning its own life choices. By the time it's my turn, I'm sweating, breathing heavy, seriously considering backing out. I step up, close my eyes, the instructor says "three"... gets to one and we're gone. Freefall is chaos and clarity all at once. Flipping, spinning, trying to find position I thought I might black out for a second. Then he taps me, pulls me into form, and suddenly it's smooth. Calm. Like a scene out of Point Break. For a brief moment, fear disappears and it's just you, the sky, and something bigger than words. Then boom the chute opens. Everything slows down, and below you is Key West, stretched out like a painting with a fisheye lens. Ocean everywhere. Peace and panic holding hands. And when we landed? I'm telling you colors were brighter, air felt cleaner, life just... hit different. That rush didn't fade for months. If fear's been holding you back, this is the jump. Do it scared. That's where the magic is.

Our reservation was for 9:30am...we were told to arrive at 9:15am for paperwork....we arrived at 9:04am....one of the employees called in sick and the owner, Angel was doing a one man show. (Getting the skies ready and doing paperwork, running for gas.) At 10:00am we had our vest on ready to go!....then a group of cruise people showed up 10:03am...asking if they could join our tour....(their reservation was for the 11am tour.)....Angel did tell them no, we had been waiting awhile for our tour. ***WE LEFT THE DOCK AT10:09!!!!!!am... went out to the gulf, road around, Angel explained 'sacrificial leaf's of the mangroves, swam for about 10 minutes. ***WE CAME BACK TO THE DOCK AT 10:56am!!!!!! ***(I wear a waterproof Apple watch; and was wearing it today!) We ended up using them based in a few recommendations to dive the Vandenberg on a Sunday morning in Key West. They weee very accommodating and the setup process was simple. Waivers were done digitally, so everything was set once we got to the boat. Parking and directions were simple, which says a lot in Key West. Once we boarded, they helped us every step of the way. The dive briefing was thorough, the captain did a great job, and our guide/DM Scott was very effective. We did a two tank dive, so the second dive was a shallow reef. Visibility wasn't great, but we made the most of it and had a fantastic second dive as well. I haven't dive with all of the operators down in KW, but I would have no problem recommending divers to SNUBA. Thanks for the great dive and team!

My wife and I have been on group paddleboard tours and we've been paddleboarding where you're just sent out on your own for a certain amount of time, but we've never had a guided tour like this. It was cool because we'd never been to Key West, while our guide knew the lay of the land like it was her own backyard. She gave us a path and a purpose, which I really liked. When we go out on our own, we tend to just aimlessly wander, but that definitely did not happen here! Not only did we have a path, but we were educated about different things along the way, and just about life in Key West, in general. Because I'm a terrible person, I don't remember our guide's name, but she was awesome! The only issue I had was getting our trip booked. I actually purchased the Yelp deal, which saved us some money, but I didn't want to end up booking online because I'd already paid for the Yelp deal. I kept calling them over and over again, but never heard back from anyone after leaving messages. Finally, the morning we planned on arriving, we called and someone actually answered the phone. He was woken up by the call being forwarded to his phone and sounded frazzled. He said he'd been working at a bar until the early hours of the morning and that his partner was supposed to have answered the phone. Regardless of that weirrdness, he quickly called around and got us a guide before calling me back to let me know when to show up - which was ASAP. It definitely wasn't the most conventional way to book an appointment, but we made it and really enjoyed it!

After reading a bit more info on this biz's site, we decided to take an afternoon tour which started at 1:30. SUP Key West also offers morning and sunset tours, but this ended up being perfect timing for us - we could sleep in and let brunch digest before hitting the water. Now, for the tour. Our guides name was Brian, the owner of SUP Key West. Booking online was a breeze and $45 per person. Once we arrived, we met the other two in our group, grabbed some life jackets (optional to wear but must be on the board) and took to the water. I love being active but wouldn't consider myself "outdoorsy." That being said, I don't know too much about the mangroves or the ecosystem surrounding the Keys so this whole experience was really eyeopening. While we drifted through the mangroves, Brian talked about how they were formed, gave more info on the birds we spotted and pointed out the sea life, even picking up and passing around sea cucumbers, jellyfish, sea stars and algae. To top it all off? We saw a nurse shark! His enthusiasm for the environment was contagious and had me eager to learn more. About halfway through, he asked if we had immediate plans and since we didn't, we took the long way home so the tour actually lasted a little over two hours. It wasn't a huge workout until the very end when we were battling some winter wind. By the end of it, I was exhausted. Brian brought along a cooler of water which was nice in case you need some hydration along the way. All in all, a different activity to do while in Key West. This was my boyfriend's first time paddle boarding and left a great impression so hopefully I can get him on the water a little bit closer to home next time. Whether a local or a tourist, I'd say it's definitely worth taking part in.

We booked the half day snorkeling excursion for the two of us and our four children (14, 12, 8, and 7) and it was a picture perfect day in the water. Both our guides were friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable, not to mention incredibly patient as they fitted each of us up and made sure that the youngest were safe and able to enjoy the snorkeling as much as the older ones. Sweet Marla even snorkeled alongside our daughter and gave her the confidence to go out a second time alone. Great company, great boat, great snacks, great sea life! We can't wait to come back soon and do it again!

We rented the Boo-ya on 4/20 with Aaron. In 2017 we had a great excursion with him. However, this…read moreyear was life threatening. Aaron was distracted by his phone on our departure and we hit a buoy full speed. Aaron jumped off the boat before impact and let us fend for ourselves. Nobody was seriously hurt, but we did get banged up. Aaron should lose his license and be charged for negligence. However, one of the patrons suffered a knee injury. Medical results are pending. I cannot express the seriousness of this event as I feel I could lost several of my lifelong friends. Amazingly enough we have a picture of Aaron texting after the accident again not paying attention. Boo-ya what kind shit show are you operating here? BUYER BEWARE!!!!
