My husband and I went on the two hour kayak tour with Jack. He was a wonderfully informative and laidback tour guide. He was happy to answer all our questions and very patient with our lack of kayaking experience. Being that we went to Key West during the off season we ended up getting a private tour, it was a great experience! During the tour we seen quite a bit of wildlife: herons, egrets, many little fish, a few barracudas, a baby nurse shark, really neat jellyfish, and lil black crabs. The water was soo clear and the mangroves were just gorgeous! Also our shuttle driver Shelly was super friendly and upon request dropped us off at a different location then we were picked up. Overall the staff was professional and super nice! We would highly recommend this tour:)

Our guide Bethany was awesome. Had a great time and the cost of a private tour rivals that of the larger more populated tours. Highly recommended.

This was the highlight of an amazing trip to Key West! Captain Kelsey was delightful. She explained our route, the history, the tides, the plants and animals - she was knowledgeable and helpful. We loved every minute of our morning trip. The catamaran, the kayaking, the snorkeling (which was AMAZING), the food, the company. Everything was top notch. We saw turtles, rays, more birds than I can name, and even a Portugese man-o-war!! We loved kayaking among the mangrove trees. We are so very glad we opted NOT to go on one of the cheaper trips with other companies who take loads of people out on short trips. Spending a little more for a small group (we had 6 guests, plus Kelsey) and a personal experience was well worth it. Highly, highly recommend Key West Eco Tours!!

Fantastical! 4 hour Catamaran/ kayak and snorkel eco trip. Crazy great experience much needed after being cooped up with the current environment! Loved seeing all the wildlife! The whole group loved it! Super relaxing and sooooo much better than being on one of the big boats with tons of people/strangers. Amanda, "Our Guide Extraordinaire", was on point the whole time with information about the keys, wildlife, nature, the ocean and also safety. She also followed COVID protocols. She made the trip even better!!! She was also patient with us serenading her with the song "Amanda" by Boston every other 30 minutes. Well done Amanda! We will be back for more of the Java cat soon and perhaps a different island tour.

My wife and I did the kayak tour today and really enjoyed it. We were in single kayaks and loved paddling through tight spots in the mangroves and spotting fish, rays, small sharks, jellies, coral, sponges and more. Our guide Jeff has great knowledge and passion about the ecosystem in the Keys and we really enjoyed his teaching. Would not have been the same to just go paddling out there on our first trip like this. Very safety conscious as well. We had only one other couple with us and definitely recommend this trip to see and learn about the habitat up close.

Our kayak tour was awesome. Our guide Liz was so nice and very knowledgeable. We learned so much about mangroves and its importance to our eco system. I would highly recommend taking the time to do this.

From start to finish, everything was incredibly well organized and professional. Mike in the office was so helpful and made the check-in process smooth and easy. Our guides, Tyler and Juan, were absolutely fabulous--friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure everyone felt confident and safe before we hit the water. This was my very first time on a jet ski, and thanks to their clear instructions and encouragement, I felt totally comfortable and ready to go. The tour itself was stunning--Key West is even more beautiful from the water! The weather was perfect, and I especially loved the calm, Gulf side, where we had some free time to go fast on our own. It was such a fun, memorable experience, and I can't recommend it enough. Thanks again to the team for an unforgettable adventure!

First, I want to say that Captain Jason and Bernie were great. They were friendly, professional,…read moreand did their best under the circumstances. My disappointment is not with the crew, but with the overall experience and how the tour was handled given the weather conditions. I had concerns that the weather would impact our excursion, so I actually called that morning to confirm the tour was still going as planned. I was assured we were going. Unfortunately, the tour was a complete disappointment. The main reason we booked was to experience the secluded sandbar, which is a major highlight of the advertised excursion. We never even made it to the sandbar. Instead, we barely snorkeled in rough waters that felt unsafe and certainly weren't enjoyable. We also didn't see the tropical fish, sea turtles, or other marine life highlighted in the tour description. The one bright spot was seeing dolphins, which we really enjoyed. However, that alone did not make up for everything else we missed. I completely understand that weather is unpredictable and safety comes first. However, if conditions weren't suitable to deliver the main experiences being advertised, I believe the company should have offered guests the option to reschedule or cancel rather than proceeding with a significantly reduced experience. Again, Captain Jason and Bernie were wonderful, and I don't fault them at all. But ultimately, we paid for an experience we simply did not receive. What was supposed to be a relaxing, memorable day on the water ended up feeling like a complete waste of money.

This tour definitely beats getting a FL boater's license to rent jet skis on your own…read more We got what we paid for with friendly & professional service (paid $118 for 2 1-hr tours plus $20 tip). I think I was quoted a slightly lower price on the phone, and I think I could've argued that, but I never tried, as the price was on par with everyone else in town, and the difference wasn't significant. A couple on our tour had a bit of a panic attack and held up the group at first, so the instructors broke off to divide the group in two so as not to ruin the trip for the rest of us. The guides made sure we got a complimentary bottle of water for the trip and a drink when we got back. I wish I'd asked the guide to take our picture as other Yelp reviewers had. I also forgot my bag on the dock (yikes). I called and retrieved it the following day, with the staff following up to make sure I knew I'd lost it. I got to the dock shortly after they closed for the evening, and a manager had stuck behind to make sure I got the bag, and no one stole it even though it was my fault and definitely beyond his responsibility. Thank you!!

The catamarans were easy to drive. Our guide was great and took pictures and shared them with us as well as the route we took. We were in a larger group and did not leave on time. The guide told us to not worry as we would get our full time on the water. He was right we spent 2 hours and 10 minutes on the water. Just that would say that they are an honest and above-board company! We took drinks and ice. They had a cooler for us to use. The navy was doing touch and goes from their base. We flew under the jets and it was one of the coolest things that I have done. You could almost reach out and touch the planes with how low that they were flying. I can't wait to be in Key West again to take this tour.

This was one of the coolest things I've experienced!…read more We booked for Wednesday night, but the weather was forecast to turn ugly. Brandon called us and gave us the option to move our reservation to Thursday night, or receive refunds. We moved our reservations, and are glad we did. The company uses some sort of sliding platform that allows you to get into, and out of, the kayaks very easily. Getting in and out of the water is as simple and pulling on the handrails on the sides of the platform. The clear bottom kayaks, and the LED lighting, made it easy to see to the bottom of the shallow ocean we kayaked through. We saw a lot of life, including iguanas in the trees, sea sponges, crab, lobster, jellyfish, octopus, starfish, a couple small schools of fish like blue tetras, and a couple tarpons. Brandon, our tour guide, let us hold or touch a crab, starfish, lobster, and octopus. All very cool! I will definitely do this again next time I'm in Key West.

The boats…read moreare either doubles or singles and have led strip lights along the sides pointing downward to cast light thru the clear bottoms of the kayaks into the shallow water where you can see all kinds of fish. On this mid-October night of the 730 tour, we saw a few interesting fish including a nurse shark and needle nose fish and at a few spots, little fishes were jumping into the boats. You will get a bit wet but it's warm, fresh water. You have to go bare-footed. The current was strong and the water high on this night; our guide Jimmy assured us that it was not normal and it could have been due to the hurricane happening up in the upper Gulf. Jimmy provided a lot of interesting info about the mangroves, species of fish and more. Most people were able to maneuver the boats pretty well tho a few had some trouble, but not bad at all. It's not a real workout but there is a lot of paddling. If you have any electronics, you may want to protect them from the moisture and splashing. There was mosquito repellent available to apply, which most ppl used, but there were hardly any bugs. The directions to the site were easy to follow and you can park under building #6. There's a small pier and depending on the time of year, you can catch the sunset over the water. I thought it was overall a fun way to spend a few evening hours - everyone seemed to enjoy the experience and there was lots of laughing, bumper boats at times. I don't have any pictures of the actual tour because they didn't come out well - just a few of the beautiful scene at sunset. On a night with more sightings, I'd probably say that Night Kayak Key West was a 5/5.
