A little disappointed - I previously wrote a glowing 5 star review but now they decided to start charging $3 extra if you modify a bowl. I'm allergic to banana and all of their bowls have banana in them, so I have to pay $3 extra for leaving out something I can't eat? That makes absolutely no sense and I've never seen it done anywhere else. The cashier told me it's because they were "losing money" but if they make the smoothie to order how is that losing money? You're actually saving money by me paying the same price and leaving an ingredient out. That's super not fair to people with allergies. Because of this it was pretty expensive for a bowl and an avocado toast when it could have been reasonable. I paid the extra this time but it will be my last. I will not be buying a smoothie or bowl here again since I have an allergy and that means I have to pay more than someone who isn't allergic. Pretty unfair of a place to do that. Sad because I really liked this spot and came here all the time. read more

The Caesar wrap was amazing!! There is indoor & outdoor seating, and a great selection of food.

We've eaten here many times since finding this spot several months ago. Never once been disappointed with the food. We've mostly had breakfast items, but lunch a couple of times. Wraps, bowls, smoothies, specials, mac n cheese, crap wrap, and cold pressed juices. All wins. Things consistently taste fresh and healthy while still tasty and filling. The huevos rancheros is a particular favorite of ours as well as the nutella oat bowl. The hulk (both bowl version and smoothie) is another go-to for us. And I would be remiss if I didn't stop and call out the cold pressed juices. We tried the super sight (orange) first. Soo good! And after many months of the super immunity being out of stock we finally got to try it this morning. We understand why it always sells out. Amazingly good! Delighted to have a shop like this near us! Love it! read more

Love their food! And, the restaurant has a fresh, clean, modern ( yet cozy ) ambiance! Service was prompt and courteous!

Amazing food. We got a chicken Caesar wrap, honey iced coffee & harvest bowl. Fresh food with respectable portion sizes. The tomato in the Caesar wrap was particularly tasty read more

I love this place! A much-needed addition to Hagerstown. The food is so fresh and so delicious! I've had their fresh-squeezed juices, the açaí bowl, and the vegan harvest bowl....all of which are 100% worth the money. There's so much on the menu I haven't tried, but what I've had is so good I have a tough time ordering something else! Absolutely recommend this spot if you're looking for fresh, clean food! read more

Fresh good food. I Tried the steak dinner the other night. Everything needs seasoned more and steak needs to be seared. Normally I love the smoothies, bowls and wraps. read more

I've been here a few times and each time the service was impeccable, the food noticeably fresh, and the flavors on point! I wish the açaí bowls were pure açaí but it's pretty good nonetheless. The miel latte is my fave! And the vegan breakfast wrap- so yum read more

Just underwhelmed by the experience. I guess if you are vegan/vegetarian it would be a place with more options than most Hagerstown spots. I just expected more substance for the cost of the meal. read more

Nice place. Very clean and well lit cafe with the industrial style exposed pipes. Just got a $5 lemonade bc the sandwiches were even more expensive. Service took a long time (20 minutes) for my friend who did order a sandwich. Staff are nice and if you don't mind paying a lot, then you may like this place. read more

The meals are always amazing and refreshing, their juices even better. The staff is always so kind and wonderful, especially for take-out and delivery orders! It's always worth a trip to the Cafe! read more

We just waited 25 mins for 3 items and 2 of our meals were wrong. Employees standing around not doing anything and I complained to the manager and he said "thanks for coming in". So rude, I'm Very disappointed! This restaurant is a great concept, but the food is mediocre at best and it's a bit pricey. read more

Delicious, great prices, and fantastic customer service! The smoothie bowl is my fave!

I have ordered food from Free Range Cafe three times now. I have ordered some type of rice bowl as well as several different varieties of their fruit 'blend' bowls, which pretty much consists of a smoothie on the bottom with a number of different fresh fruits, seeds, coconut flakes, etc. For the most part, I have always liked their blend bowls...however, not so much today. I ordered a dragonfruit blend bowl and paid for extra fresh fruit which I wasn't given . Talk about disappointment! Aside from being cheated out of the extra fruit that I paid for, both rice bowls that I ordered - which are advertised as being 'warm' were barely room temperature. I waited 30 minutes past the time that my order was supposed to be ready, so you would think it would have at least been warm. The rice bowls were cold, and the frozen fruit blend bowls were thawing and melting. I paid almost $60 for my order today, and it really wasn't even worth $30. If you're looking for an amazing rice bowl for a fair and decent price, this isn't the place for you! read more

Fresh, delicious food that leaves you satisfied and feeling good. So, you don't leave like Mr. Creosote feeling ugly from all the processed food and wasteful calories you consume, that's why Free Range is so good. Good food, well made, that is good for your health. Sunny dining room and an enthusiastic staff. My wife commented that it was the best chai she ever had. We will go back many times. Why settle for a Big Mc meal which is over ten dollars and filled with salt and fat? Do yourself a favor and eat at Free Range!!!!!! read more

First time here on our way through Hagerstown... Avocado toast with feta cheese is delicious! The blueberry smoothie was fresh and delicious, and the free range yogurt was amazing with lots of fruit and granola. Topped it off with a chai tea latte. Will definitely be back soon! read more

Yum! Awesome selection of vegeteble-centered dishes. Easy to order online. Food was great for everyone in our party. It's fast and convenient and a great spot for kids. They also checked on us a few times to make sure everything was okay - a really nice touch for grab n go. read more

Orchard bowl on 2 occasions had little to no kale or chicken. The bowl was all wild rice with no seasoning. Very different from what I had last year and in the past. read more

Second time here and still loving it. The whole free range concept is so appealing. Thanks for making this available. But...if you are going to have a Korean Kick bowl or panini actually kimchi would be so much better than just plain cabbage. Hint hint. read more

I'm so happy we finally have fast, healthy food in town. They're operating on limited hours, and I can't wait until they open full time!

I love this place so much, I usually come here, but today I came on a busy day, I waited in drive thru for 30 min, no complaints about that. But they assigned me in a spot to get my items I ordered. I ordered 2 açaí bowls & a juice. I waiting in my spot for two hours and find to come they forgot about me and my order. I tried calling but there is no phone number available. They came to my car 3 times, first time to get my name and she didn't have my name, so she took it and what I ordered. Then they said it's coming. Waited another hour for the guy to come out and ask what I ordered and there was a mix up. I understand that you are busy but I think they are focusing on people who ordered online first rather than order at window. I don't believe it takes 2 hours to make 3 açaí bowls. The guy that finally got ahold of things was very nice and very fast. His initials are j.b or j.d, he was very nice and very helpful. Things need to be more organized here. read more

For a place that mostly sells smoothies, I would've expected better. Checked it out on a recommendation. Ordered "blueberry" smoothie, might as well have ordered "green banana" smoothie. It was disgusting. Hopefully they pay more attention to their other food. read more

They opened just weeks before Covid which was a challenge in itself and have been killing it ever since. Fresh high quality food, friendly staff, and an owner who truly cares. Love this place! read more
