The high ceilings gave the shop a light and airy feel. This probably isn't the best place to study or work since the sounds of voices bounce off the walls. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I ordered an iced strawberry fields matcha latte and a blueberry muffin. I think I was accidentally given a mixed berry muffin, but it wasn't a big deal. It was still delicious. The matcha, when I received it, was also very good and I really enjoyed it. My one gripe is that it took 25 minutes to receive my drink. While waiting, I noticed that the two individuals handling the food were rock stars. They got orders out very quickly and efficiently, and I had my muffin in less than five minutes. I also noticed the number of other patrons waiting for long periods of time. People who placed orders after I did received their coffee drinks, so I was confused. When my name was finally called, I noticed that three matcha drinks were ready at the same time. Don't get me wrong, I completely understand the barista making the numerous matcha orders at the same time, but the 25-minute wait seemed quite excessive. There was a steady stream of customers, so it was busy, but not insanely busy. Again, I enjoyed everything about River Bottom Roasters except for the long wait for drinks.

We started with sharing the crab bisque and having the bacon ranch cheddar fries, which were both delicious and very well presented. I can say the only crab bisque I've tried better than this is the one I make myself. However, this was deliciously creamy, had the right flavor, just a hint of spice and loaded with lump crab meat. The fries arrived in abundance, overloading the platter. They were served upon which was more than we were expecting.
