She's obsessed with their hoodies and sweatpants and insisted we stop in while shopping downtown even though we have one in the burbs because this one is bigger and better. I'm not sure if it's better, but I will say the sales associate who helped us was so lovely. I'm annoyed i forgot to get her name to give her some Yelp love, but she helped us find a super puff jacket (the warmest coats!) and another super puff vest that wasn't in stock so had it shipped to our house. There was a small line for the fitting room, but seemed short after what we had just waited in at Brandy Melville across the street. And checkout was a breeze. I find their quality really great and their pricing fair (maybe pricey if you're buying it for a 13 year old). I have a feeling I may be stealing one of my daughter's super puff jackets (yes, she has a few!) this winter because they are perfect for our Chicago winters!

The store would not give me credit back on CC since I wasn't there!! She did have my receipt!! I no longer will buy at this store for two reasons: 1. Their return policy is one of the worse, which is 14 days to get full credit to original method of purchase. At least have a reasonable return policy of 30 days to give people a chance to return the merchandise. 2. Most stores do not need the CC to return for credit as they can just scan the receipt, and credit will return to the card. This store makes returns difficult. Not customer driven at all. Now I am stuck with a gift card that I would rather not use, as I no longer want to buy anything in the store.

The return was effortless. I ended up picking up a perfect sleeveless black shell. Sizing and fit were on point. Impressive! We visited our first Uniqlo in the West Loop last trip to Chicago, and this time, we swung by this…read morelocation on Michigan Avenue in search of some casual-leisure pants for our trip, and we found a few pair plus some nice shirts...so the trip was successful! I get that my age is not the target market for Uniqlo, but I also know that there are a few nuggets of gold throughout the store relative to casual leisure wear, and after a hunt, I found a few shelves and racks full of pants...and after a quick fitting room visit, I scooped up a few colors of each and made our way to the registers. The store is multi-story, as is most on Michigan Avenue. It is also insanely busy, but given the size and layout, it does not feel overwhelming. The store is laid out well, organized, well kept and clean. You constantly see staff members stocking, fixing, re-hanging, etc... In addition to the clothing, there is a custom embroidery section upstairs. We did not partake, but it was busy and I saw several cool pieces leave the area. Service was the only thing a bit off. The staff were quick, but not engaging or necessarily friendly. While there were lots of people on the floor, they never seemed to engage you unless explicitly requested. No big deal, but noticeable. Overall, I enjoy Uniqlo and this location is a good one!

This is the only location in Chicago that does embroidery. The customization area is confusing and…read morevery disorganized because there isn't any large signage and not enough staffing. The two tablets that are sectioned off to the left are for embroidery only, whereas the other tablets to the right are for printing on shirts and tote bags. You cannot embroider on the smallest fanny pack, only the larger one. Bring the blanks that you want to embroider with you to the counter. On the tablet, you can choose the embroidery patches you want and the placement. You are limited to 3 embroidery patches per bag. When you're finished, click the prompts to the next screen. After you're done on the tablet you can pay for the blanks and the embroidery service at the same time. The person helping me at the embroidery area was so friendly and did a great job answering questions. I placed an order around 3pm on a Saturday and it was ready 24 hours later. Pick up was also disorganized, as there isn't a designated pick up area. You have to go to the tablet area and try to grab the attention of someone working, but they're so busy helping others that it took a while to pick up my bags.

They stock regularly with new stuff nearly every day so we usually end up buying something. I scored a gorgeous deep blue knit top by Tahari for $25, originally $88! Truly great prices and clean organized merchandise. Friendly greeters, professional, pleasant staff and cashiers. Marshalls like its sister stores, TJ Maxx and Home Goods are dog friendly! I didn't know that the brand carried women's clothing so was over the moon excited to find out that they did AND had my size.
