I have been ordering form Fred's Flower Shop for the last 3 years. Every year they bring my flowers no later then 10am. I express quite clearly the importance of having them early in the morning. The lady that took my order confirmed they would be delivered early in the morning. So here comes the day when I am supposed to be receiving my flowers. I call at 9am to find out when they will be arriving they informed me that the driver is dropping off an order AND THAT I WOULD BE NEXT TO RECEIVE MY FLOWERS, NO LATER THAN 1030. So 11:30 comes around STILL NO FLOWERS!!! I call the shop to ask where my flowers are and the women who initially placed my order is not only rude, but she lies and says that she never tells anyone that they can have the order earlier noon ?!?!?! As I try to explain to her that she was the one who took my order and how I specifically told her I needed them EARLY and she confirmed an hour and a half earlier that she would have them here, she cut me off and told me I was wrong. I have been ordering from them for the past three years and EVERY YEAR I receive my flowers early (same location). I cannot begin to express my frustration. It would have even gone a long way had she at least apologized and told me her driver was running behind. I request them early every year for a specific reason and to be honest, for the amount of money I am paying, I should get my flowers on time, not when half of the day is over. Honesty and a little humility go a long way. I no longer trust this company with my special occasions; they have lost my confidence and I will no longer be dealing with them. I refuse to be given that much attitude and poor service when inquiring about MY purchase. I'd get better service getting a cheap bouquet at the grocery store than I did at this pricey florist. I don't really know who puts these 5-star reviews. I ordered bouquet delivery Jan 17th around 11am. Delivery date is Jan 18, 9 to 12 in the morning (put delivery time request in delivery note including my phone number/recipient phone number and got e-mail confirmation). Well, the flowers haven't been delivered until almost 2pm. My wife was not at home at the time of delivery, they gave her a call (finally!) and ask whether they can leave at leasing office. She replied that she doesn't want them to do this and complained that their service is very poor. 10 minutes after this conversation she got a notification from leasing office that she got flower delivery (delivery service did actually left it in the office!!!). I called to ask what was an issue with delivery and lady on the phone said that they haven't got any delivery instructions, which is obviously not rue. I have got e-mail confirmation with my delivery instructions. The bottom line here: Fred's flowers screwed up my wife's birthday mood. They took 10 minutes of my time (called them first time and have to leave a message, they haven't call back, so I had to call again). Because of all that I had pretty bad conversation with my wife on her birthday (it upsets me the most). I paid $100+ for the bouquet and some chocolate and got zero apologies back from the company. P.s. got the same delivery experience from Campus Flowers several years ago. P.P.S. Dear Flowershops, I want to remind you that delivery is as important as quality of flowers. 60-90 minute delay can turn wonderful service into terrible one. Please, don't make things up on a fly, just follow the instructions. Read the instructions and if you have any issues or questions just give people a call and communicate it before, not after. A bouquet of flowers from Fred's Flowers were delivered to my sister's funeral last month, and they were gorgeous! They were ordered by a friend from Montana who would never see the bouquet and were just taking a chance on their order. These flowers just STOOD out and after the funeral and all the other flowers were dispersed to friends and nursing homes... I took this bouquet home and enjoyed it for another week at least! I SO wish I'd have thought to take a photo of it. But the lillies were especially stunning and fragrant! Highly recommend this business! read more

We had the choice to use Fred's Flowers or another flower company for our wedding. From the moment we sat with Renee we knew we were in good hands. She seemed to know exactly what we wanted. As it got closer to our wedding, we decided to add a few more details in to our wedding. Renee helped us talk about options and what she thought would look good. It was clear she is very knowledgeable about what looks good and for a good price. The day of our wedding took our breathes away, so many people personally complemented us on the choice of flowers and requested to know who did our arrangements. Renee and her staff were wonderful in helping me plan flowers for my wedding. I didn't really know what I wanted, so I gave her a few color choices, and she went with it! All of our bouquets turned out beautifully, and the bridal bouquet was HUGE. The aisle decor they made was beautiful as well, and we had pipes and drapes set up as the backdrop for our ceremony. I just love Fred's Flowers. I have ordered everything from prom corsages, to Mother's Day flowers, to get well soon flowers. They have never disappointed. We even use them for our flowers for moms on Senior night. They put jewels in the flowers to make them sparkle. You can tell they love what they do and take pride in their work! I am very impressed by this place. I called in an order this morning which is a hugely busy day being the last weekend before Valentine's Day and they accepted my same day order. They also took the time to ask me about details of what I wanted with the order, and had zero trouble exceeding my expectations. The price charged was very reasonable. I love Fred's Flowers and heres why--I have been a 20 year loyal customer of Bobbie's Flowers because the company I work for used them as their main florist before they moved on McClintock Drive. Here's why I had to cut Bobbie's loose. Something has happened to this flower shop and I can't pinpoint if it's greed or the sense that they aren't obligated to provide excellent customer service. After years of sending Mother's Day, Valentines's, Get Well, Sympathy, etc flowers, it was time for my son's senior prom. I ordered a boutonniere for him and a corsage for his date. I knew Bobbie's would be closing at 3 pm like they normally do on a Sat. (this seems unusual durning prom season though). I called to tell them I would be there as close to 3 pm as I could, but son's tux didn't fit and we were held up at the men's rental. I get to Bobbie's at 3:15 pm and they are closed, the lights were out and nobody was to be found. No problem. I call to see if there was any way I could get the flowers. No answer. While I am in the parking lot, several people come to the door seeking flowers.I found a very nice flower shop, Fred's Flowers, down the way on Mcclintock and Warner. The lady said "Sure, come on over and we will make the flowers right away. We stay open late durning prom season". She was very nice and did a beatuiful job at the regular price which was less than Bobbie's. Prom goes off without a hitch. I call Bobbie's on Monday requesting a refund since I never got the flowers. I was promptly told that there wouldn't be a refund because they left the flowers outside of the door so I could get them. They said they tried to call but didn't get an answer (they called my job and not my cell which was the number on my receipt) REALLY? Who does that? Needless to say, there weren't any flowers outside the door when I arrived. Since Bobbie's had my credit card in their system, they took my money and I never heard from them again. FYI - Bobbie's tracks on their computers how much their customers spend on average. I saw my average --$250 each time I come in their shop. Fred's Flowers will be getting that average in the future. read more

I needed a flower arrangement delivered in a hurry and it was important that it be nice. I ordered a dozen premium red roses from Renee at Fred's Flowers and they arranged and delivered them in just a couple of hours. There service was great, the flowers were beautiful and their prices were good. I picked them because they were near the place I wanted the flowers delivered. Just got my Valentine's Day bouquet from my husband. Although he is wonderful for sending them, this bouquet is disappointing and was probably marked up quite a bit for the Valentine's Day occasion. The Lilly petals and rose petals are browned, damaged and bruised and just look old- and those are the nicest flowers in this arrangement!. The rest is cheap filler. read more
