We have been using Flowers by Renee for years. They used to be the most beautiful arrangements and bouquets that lasted longer than any flowers I ever received. The last couple of deliveries arrived in full bloom, which, as you can imagine, don't last as long. The flowers that came on Valentines Day this year were beautiful, robust, long-stem roses, but I knew they wouldn't last more than a few days because the red roses were in full bloom. Since this was the second time in a row this happened, I called to express my concern. I got a long explanation about how they spend a lot of money on their flowers and on and on about their hardship. I'm sorry, but we've spent a lot of money at this place over the past five years. They swapped them out late the following day for some puny roses that were not nearly as elegant. The red AND yellow were in full bloom, the stems were smaller in dimension and much shorter. Personally, if I'm trying to keep business coming my way, I'm going to make every effort to blow my clients away the next time around. For the money we've spent here and having given this florist the opportunity to make things right, I am thoroughly disappointed. These are not inexpensive bouquets. Photos show first batch of glorious roses with the reds in full bloom and second batch with red and yellow in full bloom and the quality of the roses are not nearly as nice as the first. I didn't get photos of the stems in the vase, but the second batch only goes halfway down the vase and they were parched by day three due to not enough water. I didn't realize until they began to wither away that some of the stems were up so high they weren't getting water. The photos were taken the same day the flowers were received. We will be taking our business elsewhere. read more

I made a special order for a special person a few days ago from flowers by Renee. I picked out a gorgeous bouquet of lavender flowers that was very full and classy. What was received was nowhere near what was in the picture nor what was described to me by the person that I spoke with over the phone that day. The vase was beautiful and that was a special part as well, But that was the only part of this situation that was true. I have spoke to the owner, the owner's husband and the owners daughter personally. Laurie the owner contacted me and basically didn't allow me to talk but told me that I got my moneys worth out of that arrangement. I feel awkward ever saying I'm not satisfied with something from an establishment but when it was meant to be this special I felt compelled to do so. I was then asked if they can come pick up the arrangement on a Sunday morning to rearrange it to "make us happy" when my family shares time together and had plans. I told Laurie that and then she said fine we will just make an arrangement for the following Monday. I was told I could pick something out and that's what would be sent to her and it would be made right. Well I did pick something out that once again was gorgeous however I did not get a response back and then on Tuesday morning She received a ridiculous bouquet of filler flowers with note apologizing and whatever. I'm not a flower person but this is for a special person, for a special reason and it's not about the money it's about the lack of communication and the fact that the owner does not want to make it right. Bottom line from the beginning she is right and we are lying so she says on the phone. I'm completely dissatisfied, and disgusted if this is what you call customer service. We are both in the customer service industry and would never treat our customers like this and if we did we wouldn't have them anymore. Even if I got my money back it still wouldn't make up for the embarrassment of the entire situation. I truly hope that nobody goes through this because normally when flowers are ordered it's for special person and special occasion. If the owner says they're going to make something right they should own it and make it right. Also you should NEVER call the recipient a liar and hang up on them when they call you to talk to you about their experience to try and give you opportunity to explain what happened and make it right. I'm so disgusted at Laurie's behavior to say the least! Below I have attached photos of the product received. Received a beautiful arrangement from Flowers by Renee for my birthday last month. My in laws had ordered them from out of state, said the experience was very easy! The driver called me with enough notification to let me know when he would be delivering. Flowers arrived fresh, cold and very beautifully arranged. Flowers lasted an entire week before they started to slowly wilt! One more thing that stands out from this business- some time ago I remember them posting on FB about how they would recycle your old vases. If you bring them at least three vases, they will give you a $10 discount on your next order. I placed an online order a week prior to delivery date. I called to see if the flowers were delivered day off, and the owner Renee told me she would have to look into it because she didn't know what happened. She said it was an error on their end and would get them out the next day and make them "prettier". The flowers didn't get delivered until 3 days after the delivery date. I called back to ask for a refund and Renee was immediately rude to me, yelling at me that she would have her back with me after Christmas. She talked over me telling me not to argue with her, I was calm and asked her to "please let me finish", she said I'm not giving you a refund but I will give you a partial store credit. I again tried to explain we didn't want a store credit, the flowers were 3 days late with no follow up to tell me they were never delivered. She continued to yell at me and then hung up on me. Flowers by Renee recently provided the flowers for my wedding. My (now) Wife took care of setting up the order while my only task was to pick up the flowers on the big day. Since my wife did most of the interacting with the shop, I can't say exactly what happened. What I can say is that this flower shop took our business with less than 2 weeks until the wedding and completely blew away my expectations. One day my bride-to-be is stressing about flowers, one phone call later (with FbR) and she was visibly relieved. The staff was polite & supremely personable when I went I picked up the flowers on the wedding day. The rest of that day my wife would say things like "oh we need to get vases for the flowers!" and I'd reply that FbR already took care of that :-) Every time she had a concern about caring for or transporting the flowers, I was pleased to be able to say FbR already thought of it and had taken care of whatever it was.
