Blue Planet Outdoors is a super cute shop right in downtown Chandler. It's a perfect spot to snag a gift for someone or treat yourself! They primarily feature local brands with a focus on outdoorsy vibes, as their name implies! They offer lots of goods ranging from t-shirts, stickers, trinkets, cards, baby clothes and a lot more! The store is not big by any means, but they get a lot in there! We actually didn't even know they existed until we were looking online at a shirt for my husband and found a cool button up they offered fit the bill, then we realized they were local so opted to visit in person and glad we did! We not only found what we were looking for, but also a few gifts for our family. They were even kind enough to mail it out for us directly, since they offer shipping online and saved us a trip to the post office. They have lots of free street parking in the area they are at, but it does get busy on the weekends. TLDR: Lots of great local offering, great for gifts especially. I had stumbled upon this adorable shop while shopping in Downtown Chandler on Small Business Saturday. At first sight, my friend and colleague came to mind. I found a lot of things I liked and quickly found myself almost spending $100. I got some stickers, socks, key chains, lollipop, soaps & a T shirt for my son. They have a wide variety of items at a great price and honestly, the quality is amazing and the designs are very unique. I definitely recommend checking this place out. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING ATTITUDE BY MANAGER AND SALES ASSOCIATE- I went in with my family and unaware my son had broken anything, my husband went outside to get him to calm down as he has some issues and when I walked out the manager had a full of conversation with her sales associate about how " I should pay for my sons broken lollipops " again I was unaware as I was handling my daughter while my husband handle my son. I asked her in front of a full store if she was talking to me as I was leaving and she continue to face the floor while the other girl said it was okay. I then got with my husband and asked if he had broken anything to which he said yes and that's why he had to leave the store to calm him down. Well I called to speak to the manager and asked for her name however, she refused to tell me her name and proceeded to laugh like it was a funny matter ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING ATTITUDE TOWARDS A KID AND A CUSTOMER - extremely shitty service for families and small children . What a great shop. Have passed it many times but never ventured in until yesterday. Saw so many things I could have purchased but settled on two really fun pieces that called to me. One is a wooden wall plaque in the shape of the State of Arizona and with the word "Home" in white letters in the center. The other is a cute pin of a pink prickly cactus. I have more than 100 pins now. I've been collecting for about 17 years before it was cool!! There is plenty to see including jewelry, coffee mugs, candles, tee shirts, stickers and more. Price points are varied depending on what you get of course. For what I got, prices were reasonable. I will definitely be back especially if I want gifts representing Arizona. read more

Beautiful store to buy souvenirs of Arizona. My colleagues and I spent a great time checking what they mostly sell to bring as gifts here: cactus, cactus and more cactus, from pins, to stickers (awesome collection), to postcards, to hats and shirts and even lots of locally made cosmetics such soaps and lotions. I loved discovering the art of Page Poppe (fell in love with those pink and oranges mountains she watercolors and all the lovely cactus and desert flowers she paints). Many of her art was available via cards, paintings, calendars, stickers, etc. Do not forget to check the floors! They are awesome. I asked the person selling at the store and told me these paintings were done by local artists in the previous life of this store (maybe an art collective or something). My daughter and I dropped into the store while exploring downtown Chandler. We were greeted by the owner as if we were old friends. His knowledge of the products and the reasonably priced high end products have us going back to patronize his shop in the future. My daughter is a fitness nut that hikes, bikes, skis, camps, and loves the outdoors. She saw the quality of the products for sale, and said she now does not have to go to the REI type stores in other cities to get them. I've waltzed into this store a few times and have found something to purchase each time. I like that it's small and things are easy to find. While larger stores, like REI, have their benefits, I appreciate a small, local place with awesome products and friendly, helpful staff!
