We wanted to collect some local mementos of Arizona, we saw this place on Yelp and decided to check it out. Ambiance: Parking - Limited parking for about 10 cars but it shouldn't be super crowded Feels - It's on the not so touristy side of Arizona, 15 - 20 minutes away from campus life. For a local scene this is the spot. Products: A wide range from clothing, pottery, and snacks. There were some items we saw at gift shops that we saw here for a cheaper price, there were even more selections as well. Customer Service: Friendly people and quick service. Overall: 4 Stars - I dig it. Not too far away location, great variety, and good prices. Not much to saw but just good things. For AZ/Mexican style products and souvenirs, come through! TL;DR Tips: * Parking is limited but it shouldn't be crowded * Great spot for local Mexican influenced souvenirs.

I loved this place! It's true here some things cost more than they do IN Mexico. But, hey I got to save all that gas money or airfare by not having to cross the border. I bought plates here. As well as crosses for my hyper-religious family. All bases covered artfully and colorfully! Excellent! I'd definitely recommend checking it out if you're in the Phoenix area!

Want to shop local and appreciate the Mexican culture? If so, you have to shop here. I was referred by my neighbor after noticing her bright and colorful light switch covers. Don't underestimate the shop when pulling up. It's chock full of gorgeous pottery, metallurgy, clothing and blankets, etc. If you're in town looking for a souvenir of the Southwest, you have to stop here. Or if you're wanting to add color and splash to your indoor and/or outdoor environment this is your place. Skip the big box stores. They do take credit cards. I recommend carrying cash and use your bargaining skills to negotiate the best price. Easy to find and to park in front of the store. Take advantage of the other Guadalupe restaurants nearby while in town. It's just like going to Mexico, but in a Phoenix suburb. Not to mention that they had a pic of Ronald Reagan at the check out. Heading back next week to pick up a few other purchases.

This place is absolutely amazing. They have everything that Mexico would offer at pretty reasonable prices. What I love the most is that they are Yaqui Mexicanos in Guadalupe, which is the Yaqui Rez in Phx. They are family owned business and should be completely supported because most of the other spots that sell authentic Mexican/Indigenous merchandise are not owned and operated by the people themselves.

Half the Buddhas are broken, and even the gold paint is chipped on every single figurine. I can buy the same crystals at a metaphysical shop with better quality and less than what this store charges. The southeast Asian style clothing is cute, but also of mass produced quality with snagged and flimsy fabric. The merchandise is cute, but simply not worth the price when it will break before you even get it home. The customer service is completely nonexistent. The only thing this store has going for it is the clean display. Nothing about this place remotely represents the hippie movement of the 70s. Everything is based on Southeast Asian stereotypes, or marketed toward New Age fads. I love a good tarot deck, but I can shop for that in a metaphysical store. My advice: save your money and avoid the tourist trap.

I was buying a keychain and bracelet, but after the transaction was complete, she noticed my Marine Corps lanyard. She tells me that she should have given me a discount, but I protest since I don't usually expect a discount from privately owned shops. She gave me a second bracelet for free anyway! Thank you for the support and I'll definitely return.

Really unique little store that has lots of unique treasures and so glad I stopped in today!…read more After yoga class downstairs, I popped in to see what this place was about, and wow, this is a treasure trove of items from all over the world. Sweet! Clay, the owner, was super nice and we chatted the entire time I was looking around the store. He told me that this store has been here for 25 years and that he goes around the world looking for items and buys them up and then has them shipped back to here. Great! The reason the store is called Yucatecan Imports is when he first opened the store, he originally was bringing back hammocks from Yucatan, nice little history there! Each item in the store is marked with price and also where it comes from, so super cool! This is about as fair trade as it can be. Clay has hand painted scrolls from Thailand, Buddha calendars from Nepal, bookmarks from Turkey, earrings from Peru and Mexico, and my favorite, he has a chirango from Ecuador (however, the chirango was made in Bolivia)! I wanted to stay in here all day and look at everything he has as it is super neat all the wares he carries. He doesn't operate an online business, so he's old school, and wants you to come into his store, great! I ended up buying a mini wooden carved elephant from Thailand, this is a gift for my mom as she loves elephants (and so do I) and will send it to her! I'll definitely be back here especially when I have to find unique gift items for friends and family! Great little shop hidden away, come check it out!
