This is one interesting rock shop. They have just about any rock or stone that you can imagine from all over the world. The outside part of their store is massive with a lot of the rocks either being rough or just slabs. Nothing was really polished outside. Inside has all of the polished and finished stones, which also was super nice. Prices were middle of the road. Some things were reasonably priced and other things were pretty expensive. I can see why it's gotten reviews for both price points, but it really depends on what you want. There's a large amethyst peace as you first enter the outside area, which is much cheaper than you can get it anywhere else, but I thought the geodes were a little expensive. read more

We've been going to Fred's Natural Expressions. It's always a fun visit, so many types of rough stones and the a terrific store inside with all the finished work... Gorgeous! If you're looking for any kind of rock, gem, or crystal, this place has it -- plus some truly unique gifts and formations. It's a hidden gem tucked away in a residential area. They do require cash for purchases under a certain amount, but that's never been an issue for me since I always end up finding rare crystals I can't get anywhere else. read more

When I need to cheer myself with some retail therapy, I go here. I get lost in this place for hours. I've been a crystal collector for YEARS and a good portion of it comes from Natural Expressions. Better priced than anywhere else I've ever seen, one day I hope to be able to afford that $28,000 or something Rhodochrosite collection. One day... Everyone who works here are some of the kindest people I've ever met, even through the hot months they're out in the heat willing to answer any questions. Just left this place feeling pretty disappointed, i drove all the way over there just looking for a cheap small crystal bracelet, specifically one for the solar plexus chakra. i walked all the way back there just to see a sign before walking in that says "no bags or purses leave them in your car" so i walk all the way back to my car in the 110 degree heat (not a big deal just annoying) to put it back, you would think maybe they'd put a sign in the front of the property so people don't have to walk back to their car, but no. i spent about 30 minutes looking around and found a beautiful citrine bracelet with very tiny crystals for $10. so i go to purchase the bracelet i found and was super excited about it only to realize that you have to spend at least $25 to pay with card. i don't have a lot of money as I'm a college student and just wanted to do something small to treat myself, so only having $5 in cash i leave because i don't have $25 to spend on rocks. Overall a good selection of specimens but maybe look into changing that $25 minimum if you can....Left extremely disappointed. read more

The employee named T was extremely rude when I walked in the store. Never been treated like that when I was expecting to spend money on rocks. Visiting from out of state, my friend took me here straight away! We spent about an hour walking around, talking, asking questions, and exploring the many areas. Really interesting place. Seems to be a home converted into a gallery of gemstones that extends out of the house and into the back yard. Awesome geodes and rare finds, too. The price may be a little higher than online, but you can't say too much for having the chance to pick the stone that's meant for you. I brought my daughters and they had a great time - staff was friendly and patient. We'll be back when it's a little cooler :) My only suggestion would be a little more information about the stones themselves - maybe some books or pamphlets on some of their healing properties or use, maybe some chakra kits... read more

Low prices and amazing quality items. They have pricier stuff too but they aren't gouging like some of the other mineral shops in town. Everyone was very kind informative. Would very much recommend. This is a rockhound's paradise. There is a large selection of tumbled rocks, but if you like to display the "raw" form of rocks, cut and polish your own, this is a great spot. Prices were a little higher than what we expected, but not excessively higher. Fred, the owner, is a great guy and he definitely knows his rocks. He will cut rocks for you as well. Make sure you have lots of time when you visit Natural Expressions. It is huge! Lots of space inside the store, and treasures galore in the back. This place is amazing! Everything from dinosaur bones and petrified trees to beautifully cut gemstones. They have rock chunks and highly polished and cut gems. I love their selection of slabs! So amazing and easy to see the beauty of the rocks before you buy. Make sure to chat with the owner, Fred. He's a true rock hound and full of information and stories. So glad we found this place. Huge collection! The owner, Fred, is an older gentleman and doesn't have an online presence at all, but he really knows his rocks. Don't stop with just the inside of the shop, he has barrels full of rocks out back. A lot of his stuff is raw, but he's great with a rock saw and shaping tools. If you'd like something cut or polished in a specific way, Fred can probably do it for you. read more

I feel very sorry that this place has so many good reviews. Whomever has reviewed for this establishment has never experienced a real rock shop. Although there is quite a bit to choose from I was horrified when I saw the prices. I like to support local small businesses but these people are literally robbing. I know what street value is for specimens and they charge 6 times the amount here. If you are looking for a good rock shop head up to Globe or the Quartzsite gem show. I will never ever return here. Won't ever shop here again. I have shopped here several times, but this last time, I drove quite a way to bring some relatives to shop there. I called and spoke with someone who told me their hours of business before we made the long trip, and they didn't mention ANYTHING else. Drove all they way out there and they would not let us inside to go shopping. Apparently now they want to charge their loyal customers a pretty hefty fee to go inside and shop. Didn't bother letting us know this information when we had called earlier. They were completely rude and unprofessional about it with us. Ranting about their electric bills needing to be paid. Customers don't want to hear about a businesses financial woes, and they certainly don't want to pay $30 and $50 fee just to come and shop or look around. They have lost my business and any recommendations to them for good! read more
