First when you walk in you're greeted and told to grab a tray, the tray has colored stickers with prices, each crystal in the store has a sticker, find the color on the tray and bam that's the price. The amethyst room by the entrance is so cool, you have to start there. Different sizes, colors, sparkle and price ranges. Easy color chart for cost based upon small dot on each item. Has just about everything for a reiki and related activities / practices. Has tarot cards and other items inside Alsop's various stones that are polished, raw, pendants, and fo display in the home. In light industrial area nearby Hampton Inn / Tempe Phoenix Airport - minutes away. Open Friday - Sunday . Small chip pieces start at $2-3 each and prices go up based on size / weight / Geodes , etc. They most likely have it if you ask. See my photos . A place you can easily get lost in for hours on end. I had such a wonderful time, and meeting Athena and Rocko was absolutely a treat. Service - simply put: AMAZING. This family owned and operated business turned out to be not only a delight to visit but also a fun learning experience. Selection- breath taking. I was blown away. A selection that ranged from small to larger pieces each one unique and beautiful in their own right. I walked away learning so much more than I thought possible in such a short time. This place is located near Sky Harbor Airport in a strange location. You have to get off on University Dr and then turn North on 48th St parallel to the freeway and then it turns into 1st Street. They are only open Friday (11am-7pm) and Sat - Sunday (10am-6pm, see photo) or by appointment. Number is at bottom of photo. They do have a very good selection and apparently supply other rock and mineral stores in the area. They have a color coded price chart (see photo). Their peridots were expensive compared to the Veterans store way out in Miami, AZ, but maybe thats the price of transportation. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I'm no rock expert.... hahahaha! Well.... some may actually consider me to be. It took me a few times to check this place out to really make a decision as to whether it would be in the regular rotation for my stone/crystal/rock 'collection'.. After more than a handful of visit I'm happy to say, it has made its way into the usual rotation. The tray and dot pricing took may be the only part I still need getting used to. Athena (I believe is the owners name) is a friendly lady you will often find on the floor and in my opinion, she has one of the widest selections available that I've seen. When I'm searching for a particular stone, I like to take a wander and see if anything else 'says' hello. By the time I've made my rounds is usually when I'll ask about the stone that lead me there. Athena knows her variety and knows what she has available. She has also been transparent with me during a visit and explained some of the reasoning behind why she may not have had a stone I was looking for and gave me a bit of education around things to look for if I happened to find it elsewhere. I cannot, even for the sake of this review remember which stone it was but I'm glad I know no better than to blindly buy offline. Be sure to take note of the stone information cards and perhaps even with a picture of the stone so that you identify it later. Nevertheless, I will be visiting again and againso long as there are still beautiful specimens to appreciate. read more

Wow! Fortunately a friend turned me on to this place or I would never have known about it. It's in an office Park off Rio Salado Parkway. The variety and selection of rocks/crystals, necklaces, scented oils, etc. is incredible. Then they have these life-sized pieces of amethyst, apophylite & so MANY others that you can decorate your home with as works of art. They offer all kinds of classes - I took one class here & it was absolutely worth it. They also feature oracle & tarot card readings, private intuitive transition readings - look forward to getting one of those on my next visit. The website is a goldmine of info. I visited this store while on vacation around April this year (2023). I'd heard it's huge and wanted to see... I've seen the photos on the Facebook page, and it's impossible for them to give you an idea how really BIG this place is. It's like a football field where every corner, and the entire floor is filled with crystals and rocks. I spent hours walking around to get a look at everything. I also ask a lot of questions, I had no idea crystals and rocks had so much meaning! While I was there, several people came through. They'd collect a bunch of rocks, take them to the front, and pay for them. The staff was courteous and very business like! I wish I had the space at home to really take advantage of the opportunity, but I don't, so in the end, I bought this awesome little hippo to sit under my computer screen and eat bugs... I have been going to EJR for 12 years now. I have watched them grow and expand throughout the years. The energy in the store is very soothing. Sometimes I go there just to recharge! Angel and the rest of the folks who help Athena are very helpful and knowledgeable. You are welcome to spend as much time as you want to check out the crystals and just enjoy the energy. Athena is very knowledgeable about crystals. I believe she has over 200+ varieties. She has quite a few crystal towers and a separate room just for all type of amethysts! She always has a card near the crystals that explains what they are and what there spiritual properties are. I recommend that you take a picture of the cards that go with your crystals so you have the info at your fingertips. EJR also has a variety of other products - jewelry, oracle and tarot cards, books about crystals, singing bowls (crystal and metal), salt lamps, crystal pens, water bottles with crystals in them, small metal drums and so much more. You can play with the bowls and drums before you buy them. Playing the bowls are not my forte but with Athena's help even I am able to get beautiful sounds coming from them! EJR also has a variety of classes, meditations and readers. Check out their Facebook page for a listing of upcoming events. More than just rocks--a true hidden gem! This place offers more than just rocks and crystals, it is a social gathering hub for like-minded individuals to come together and find community~ They have an extensive offering of events such as group classes, meditations, healing ceremonies, etc. The prices vary, but there are affordable options as well. There are lots of different experts that you can learn from, as well as finding different affordable means of holistic healing. I've only attended a few so far, but I'm looking forward to trying out more soon! I also recently discovered that they host a monthly potluck--no price of admission, just bring a dish or snack! I have truly enjoyed coming here and having the opportunity to have conversations with others in the spiritual/holistic community in a safe space. The events are hosted in the meditation room, where a plethora of large and gorgeous crystals line the walls. It is truly breathtaking and adds a nice atmospheric touch! I love sitting there surrounded by those beauties~ Speaking of crystals, they of course have a huge selection of high quality crystals and rocks as well! And what's nice is that they have an explanation of the properties and uses displayed by the crystals, which helps me confirm whether a crystal that I feel called to would be beneficial for me. On one recent visit they happened to have an amazing sale, and I was able to buy a beautiful Prehnite necklace and a good size Peridot stone to bring in positivity for a little over $20 altogether! So be on the lookout for sales! I could sense that the owners love what they do, have a passion for crystals and rocks, and are not just in it for the money. They also have a small section of the store dedicated to metaphysical supplies, such as incense, candles, tarot cards, etc. I haven't purchased those yet, but they look like good quality and will likely try buying some of these items in the near future~ Lastly, this shop really does fit the description of "hidden" in the phrase "hidden gem". It is not easy to spot, however it is located near the Phoenix airport which makes it a great location for both those in the Phoenix area and the East Valley to come together! I didn't check the reviews before I walked in today. I'm surprised that they have a one-star review. (I am not white, like the owner, but did not feel any racism directed towards me). I snuck in about 45 mins before they closed, but despite that they were very friendly and inviting about things. I like the layout and the displays. Aisles were big enough to get through and the signs of healing properties were listed. I wish I had more time to shop, I could've spent another hour in here, but I was very conscious of their closing time. I will definitely be back. Prices were fair. I even found out that they can wrap the rough stones/cabs if you find a loose one you fancy as a pendant. (There is a small reasonable fee for this service). read more
