I must say Fred's burger is a fresh cooked well seasoned patty with fresh produce on top of a brioche bun. My Fries were fresh and seasoned aswell. Plus I had a Oreo shake with cherry on top. Their was plenty of seating and everything was very clean and new. We lived here for 44 years and haven't been here to this spot in over 30 years when it was Burger King. Fred's Burgers A must try! The fries we tried a couple of days ago in the drive through. They were so amazing and hot! We saw that the burgers were on a flame grill, so we decided for a dinner here. Two regular fries and regular cheeseburgers. We opted to upgrade for milkshakes. 1- Vanilla, 1-chocolate. ( they did not disappoint). That was a charge of $4.50 each. Not sure the cost of sodas? Very tasty burger, however, I feel the buns were not fresh, they were cold actually. That was a huge bummer! Maybe it's just a one time oversight? Our total bill was $39.02 My recommendation would be to ask them to grill the bun. I did tell them, if they were more helpful informing patrons about the business and menu, they'd probably increase business. I would return, they are new and they've worked hard to open a business in 2024. Let's give them a try. On Rocklin Road. I give 4stars because no burger should be stuck to a cold stiff bun. Upon first walking in, the odor of a stale mop bucket is quite pungent, which made me question the cleanliness overall but we'd been wanting to try it and once the grill was fired up with burgers THAT smell was amazing. I'd highly advise GREETING your customers with a super friendly welcome or at least a smile. That would go a long way, especially given that this is such a new establishment. Only one other couple was inside when our family came and we were all but ignored. Between the initial smell and no greeting we considered leaving, but had been wanting to try this place. From the menu, the only way to order chicken tenders is via a kid's meal and it appears you only get one for $7? Can you offer an adult tenders basket? I'm glad we tried it, but not excited to go back anytime soon bc of both the customer service and price for a fairly glorified fast food restaurant. Still some room for improvement. For instance after charging two extra dollars for wild fries the fries that came did not have much caramelized onions at all. Only issue I had was the sauce I wasn't a fan of it personally, so I'll be coming back for just a mayo and mustard on my burger. Been meaning to try this place since it's new, finally stopped through the other day. Was kinda bummed about some key areas. One, a drive-thru isn't ideal when it takes so long to prepare the food. While this is good in the sense that it means they're making the food to order, it also produces a ridiculous waiting time if you're in a rush. I've ordered online 3 times now and keep coming back for those dang amazing wild fries and chocolate shakes! To say that their addicting is an understatement!! However, their cheeseburgers, chicken sandwiches, and hot dogs (going three times, I have been able to try each item), leave something to be desired. Their cheeseburgers are decent. They definitely need more sauce and maybe some patty flavor. The chicken on the sandwich is pretty bland unfortunately. I wish the batter or the chicken itself had some sort of flavor. Good texture though! The wild dog was my least favorite. Char-broiled is correct and about the only flavor on these dogs, even with the added cheese and onion. :/ And last but not least, the chow now app that they use for mobile ordering needs to be looked at and revised. I get food for lunch at work based on mobile ordered and ease of it. Unfortunately they have VERY few options to revise any of their orders through chow now. Even just to omit items, you can only choose to omit ONE item (say onion off a burger). But if I also don't want the sauce or lettuce, I have to put it in the notes and those notes are overlooked every time!! (Ordered for my coworker twice, to omit onion, sauce and lettuce. Only omitted onion). Id also love to be able to order a combo and choose wild fries and/or a shake as the side and drink. Currently it comes with fries and selection soda options as choices. Please look into this and fix it! Or search other mobile ordering options please! This isn't a deal breaker or loss of stars. I'm sure this is a nightmare of restaurants to deal with. The cheeseburger To me, the hamburger and fries tasted reminiscent of school lunch. I think burger with a higher fat content would help, or maybe whoever the meat vendor is also delivers to schools, I dunno. It was also under-seasoned in my opinion. I also think the buns are far too large for the size of the hamburger. It's a quite bready burger, and the buns weren't grilled- so you just get two extra large cold bunz. The lettuce used is a soft leaf rather than a crunchy leaf, So texturally everything gets lcompletely lost in the burger buns. 2. The hotdog The meat was great, well cooked, nice spice and snap. But again, BREAD. There was SO much bun. also, I feel that the hotdog is lacking on the fixins. A pickle or pepper relish, some jalapeños, slaw, crunchy bacon, ANYTHING would be a welcome addition. All my dog came with was a sprinkling of grilled onions and the house sauce. Literally didn't even taste the onions because my mouth was FULL OF BREAD.
