I called Tinley Auto Repair wednesday at around 5 pm and they informed me the key was mislabeled as a toyota, when it is a subaru, and that caused confusion. I was understanding about that, and asked about having my key delivered to the body shop. I was told that they would contact my bodyshop and have the key delivered. I visited my bodyshop thursday at around 10 am and was told that Tinley Auto Repair did not contact them yet. i called Tinley Auto Repair and was told that "We are a small shop, and we only have 5 people working here, i dont know when the key can be delivered" to which i understand that, but i was informed my key would be delivered the day by them, and that they were going to contact my bodyshop. she took my number down and told me she would call me back. I called back at 11:30 and gave my name and asked "i am just trying to figure out whats going on" to which the response was "uh, with what?" i asked "when my keys will be delivered" and i was put on hold, and then she came back and explained the situation from the beginning, which she had already explained to me. I asked when my key would be delivered, and she told me "can you stop? i dont know anything about this, i was just informed of this, this morning" when that is not true, i had called the day before and spoke with her and was told my keys would be delivered for me. she rudely told me the keys would be delivered and then hung up, i called my bodyshop and was informed that Tinley Auto Repair was asking them to come pick up my keys, and now suddenly they are a 4 man shop not a 5 man shop?? also they called my bodyshop AFTER i called them at 10 am. i called again at around 2 to confirm my keys were delivered, and i was told yes and then hung up on. thursday, i left a google review stating my experience and the rude customer service. the company responded, with what i feel is a dishonest response. I do appreciate you taking the time to explain how my keys were mislabeled, and that its not your fault! because you know of course its not your fault. but to say that you guys handled everything yourself, and that my bodyshop appreciated you in this is craaaazzzyyyy. and nothing addressing that attitude on the phone.... so if you value any form of customer service or trust, do not come here! or dont get into an accident in tinley park :)

The problem I had is that after they finished, I had what appeared to be dirt all around my leather steering wheel, which when I used plain wet (water only) paper towels to wipe off, whatever the substance was, stripped all my leather off my steering wheel! I suspect the substance was probably brake fluid? Just be warned that they don't care about the inside of your vehicle as far as making sure they're not leaving your interior filthy! I don't know how they could turn over your vehicle back to you with the steering wheel being so filthy, with a corrosive substance so strong to remove all the leather off! No issues with their mechanical qualifications though. You might want to put covers on your seats and cover the steering wheel somehow if you get brake work done!

My advise to anyone doing business here: - Document your vehicle before you drop it off - pictures and video inside and out. Also, document throughout the process. They will try and say damage was existing when things break. - Stop in and check on your car - you will see parts scattered all over your cup holders and vehicle. They had parts wedged into the glove box of my car with the lid closed causing permanent bends in the plastic lid. Dirty shop rags and paper floor mats in the hatch area. - Get everything Bob says in writing. He is a career used car sales man in a service roll; and it shows. He doesn't care about your vehicle and will blame others on his team when the job goes sideways. He will bill you for unauthorized work 'to make it right' - Read through your quote and final invoice. DO NOT let them charge you for any unauthorized work or inflated labor hours from your quote - Hold them accountable for any unsatisfactory work. No one comes to this place to save money. Unfortunately, there isn't any tech in this place who is organized or skilled enough to do quality work. They have constant turnover of their staff which has them dropping the ball for skill and timelines. - Make sure you get your original parts back. Some of the aftermarket parts they get are not 1 to 1 matches. I had them replace my leather shifter pouch and the one they put on is not a match. I'd actually prefer my old one back on, but was never given it. I had to argue with Bob to get some of my original parts back; of which, this pouch and other parts are missing. This place doesn't care about your vehicle or your business - I will try and post pictures to show the nightmare I endured over the last year and half attached to this review.
