Fred's Appliance has been disappointing. We purchased a washer/dryer unit and gave exact dimensions to make sure it would fit. They assured us it would. The first delivery team could not fit it in. They took it back saying they needed to Make modifications. The second delivery team were unable to fit it in. They sent someone else out to make another modification (cutting dryer vent ). It fit in and we thought all was good. We tried a load of laundry and the machine didn't work. Fred's sent a technician out to evaluate the situation. He said the unit is faulty, will need to order a part and will need to "tear it apart to fix it". I prefer to exchange this unworkable unit with a new one but Fred's Appliance refuses. On top of all this I just saw they are offering this unit on clearance for $1,500 less than what we paid for it. Fred's is not really looking out for their customer. I give Fred's Appliance a ONE Star review. read more

The fact that I bought a washer and dryer set 6 months ago with a 1yr warranty but when I call to have my dryer serviced cause a code popped up, I'm told yes you have a warranty no it doesn't cover that particular issue and you'll have to pay out of pocket is bs. Then to be told or you can YouTube it and do it yourself, like wtf. I spent a nice amount of money on these with a warranty and to be told that by the service desk is ridiculous. Jake from Fred's Appliance in Spokane Valley supplied all of the high end kitchen and laundry appliances for our home through our builder, and I cannot recommend Jake enough. He was gracious enough to come to our home to do a walk-through and introduce us to our appliances, patiently answering our questions and offering best use advice. From day one, our brand new dishwasher was not functioning correctly, and Jake worked with me to coordinate two service visits and then ultimately a manufacturer replacement. I greatly appreciated his help through the process. It was great to see the business standing behind the products they sell. Don't do it! It's a trap! Don't buy from the "ding and dent centers". "Let the buyer beware" and "you get what you pay for" come to mind. We bought a stove there 14 months ago. The knob went out last night and it will take them 2 weeks to come out, plus a minimum $100 charge, plus parts and labor. We feel duped that we saved a few hundred bucks on what we thought was a nice stove, that turned out to be junk. They heavily push the extended warranty for a reason. read more

Do not buy their extended warranty. We paid 499.99 for a 5 year warranty on our washer and dryer. When my dryer quit working after 18 months I called to schedule repair. They could not come out for 24 DAYS! I had to pay a local person $200.00 so I could get my dryer fixed. I also went on electrolux website to see about a warranty.. I could have purchased a 5 year warranty through them for $283.00. read more

Purchased a freezer that was on truck to be delivered on Friday. Was told to call and check it would be in. Was told Friday it was not on the truck would be in Monday or Tuesday. Would have sales guy call and go over next steps. Found out on Saturday not going to be in at all because sold it to someone else. Got half hearted apology and blamed everyone else for the mistake. Not once did they own up to error and really did not try to fix mistakes. Bad when you buy a ton from them and loyal customers to be oops oh well! Lost all respect and will never go back! read more

I went in to the scratch and dent store today to purchase a stove. I was in the store a good 20 minutes and no one came to help me. I finally ask the two young me at the desk if they could help me as they were doing nothing. A real imposition for either one of them to get off their butts and help me!! He was rude didn't have much info on the stoves and quoted a really high price. I will never buy another appliance from Fred's again due to the rudeness of your employees and we have bought all of our appliances from you but no more and I will let everyone know how rude and aweful the store on Sprague is. I will not recommend this business to anyone. They are deceitful, noncaring and unwilling to follow through with any help. We excitedly bought a new set of appliances and were excited to update our kitchen. Unfortunately, our new refrigerator did not work the first day we received it. Three weeks later, it still does not cool our food below 42 degrees. We asked for a new refrigerator or a repair of the existing one and we have not had anything done to remedy the situation. Secondly, our dishwasher leaked the first day it was installed. Our hardwood floors did not receive this water very well. The new stove is on backorder and hopefully we will get it soon. Our microwave works well. Why are they deceitful? We were told through the process that we were entitled to an $800 rebate if we bought all new appliances through GE. At checkout, we were suddenly eligible for only a $200 rebate. Why are they noncaring? My wife and I contacted the store numerous times and they had no sense of urgency to help us with our defective refrigerator or dishwasher. They thought the refrigerator was within normal limits. We called GE and they sent out an independent repair person who said the refrigerator was faulty. Why are they unwilling to follow through? Great question. Once the sale was made, the company does not have much interest in helping remedy our situation. read more

Brady was super efficient on the phone and held the appliance for my husband to go pick it up. In a market where items are on backorder for months, this place is a gem. Plus great service! I never write reviews but this one is well deserved. We had two failed attempts to get a washer delivered from Home Depot, who no showed not once, but twice. And it took a long time for Home Depot to even apologize, so we decided to give Fred's a shot. Fred's was wonderful. We bought the washer a few weeks ago and they could get it to us on a Saturday. Unfortunately the first time they came to deliver it, our hallway was too small for a dolly and they couldn't fit it in with their equipment. They had to come back but couldn't that day. The guy who sold it to us called us within a half hour and was extremely apologetic and offered us a discount. I was super appreciative of that. They came today and delivered the washer and took out or old one with the right equipment. They were in and out within 30 minutes. I'd highly recommend buying appliances from Fred's. Sales gets 3 stars for having to haggle on the price, delivery gets 5 stars. Purchasing appliances can be like buying a used car. Not very fun but sometimes necessary. Having some knowledge beforehand can really help. Needed a basic fridge so we stopped at the Ding and Dent store after looking at the big box store. We were somewhat surprised to find the exact model in the ding and dent store the same price! While the salesman would have been happy to sell it to me at that price, once I mentioned that, he proceeded to check online and discovered they were actually more expensive compared to the box store. He then lowered the price to a very reasonable amount. We did pay for delivery. It was delivered right on time and the guys that delivered were friendly and professional, even though they had to go up and down a lot of stairs. We have bought from Fred's in the past when they had their big tent sale. Never had a problem with their appliances. read more

I bought a top of the line Kitchen Aid dishwasher from Fred's Appliance in the Spokane Valley 4 years ago. After 4 years of use, the electric panel broke and a Fred's service man said it would cost about $700 to repair- which is almost the same cost as a new top of the line dishwasher. When I asked Rick, the manager at Fred's Appliance to compensate me for the defective dishwasher Fred's sold me, he told me that he could not compensate me or offer me any store credit to apply to the purchase of my next appliance. My new (within 6 mos of purchase) Maytag dryer was reading AF (airflow issues) on the digital display. Dryer worked, nice and hot, just needed to run again in order to be fully dry. Called Fred's, scheduled appt. no problems. Svc. person checks out dryer, says figured out the AF problem but needed to order new parts because the readings were off. He left, nice guy. I start the dryer after he leaves to finish drying the load that was in there and I have NO heat. I call Fred's Appliances and speak with a female scheduling who said I could not be seen for a month! I explained that my problem was because of what the repair tech did, no previous issues around heat. Now I don't have a working dryer for a month! The woman kept scheduling me for a date I kept telling her I would be out of town so I needed to extend the repair date because they only travel this way on Tuesdays. My problem is not with the repair but how discourteous and unreasonable this receptionist was. 2 stars for service, 0 stars for attitude. read more

The time has come; my oven finally decided it was finished. I do not want to spend a lot of money and as long as the "dings and dents" are not all over the front of the unit, I chose to go to Fred's Appliance. They were helpful, but only had two options for my color choice. No big deal there either. Price was good enough. But after I paid them cash for it, I find that they literally charged me to have a cord to plug the oven into the wall! Since when does an oven not come with a cord if it's electric? Is that how Fred's makes their money. Then after thinking about it for a couple days, I realized I did not confirm they would be taking my old unit. So when I called, was informed there's another charge for that; granted, it's minimal, but why on earth would the salesman not have offered that to me when I was paying in cash for the oven I was buying. What am I supposed to do with a broken unit sitting in my house that I cannot physically move by myself. I realize we are getting a "deal" (probably not as good as we really think) at Fred's, but if this is how they are going to do business by charging fees to cover the costs of them selling a "damaged" unit, I think I will have to start choosing to use someone else. Quite honestly, if I'm buying a brand new electrical stove, it should come with a cord to plug it in! read more

I know you're probably trying to save a little money by going with Fred's Appliance, and that's great, but in the end the hassle just isn't worth it. They are not honest and forthright, they don't do what they say they'll do and their delivery practices are just weird. We purchased a range and a dishwasher. The range had a dented drawer that Mike said he'd fix because it didn't sit right. Nope! Still has a lopsided drawer. The dishwasher didn't have the right screws to install, but that wasn't their problem after we paid for everything. They wanted to deliver the appliances to my home at 9 pm after telling me over and over again that I'd be the first delivery of the day. Not so much. Then they took my appliances off the delivery truck without telling me and expected me to come and pick them up because I wasn't willing to have 2 strange men in my home, alone, at night. Luckily somebody in the warehouse took pity on me and delivered them. That's the only reason they got 2 stars. I know Fred's is cheaper - but you'll be paying in frustration and unkept promises. Go somewhere else unless you like for everything to be a cluster. read more

It took a month to receive our refrigerator that had to be ordered as they didn't have what we wanted in stock. After receiving our fridge I noticed on Fred's website the next size up fridge was the same price as the one we purchased. When I discussed with our sales lady she tried to blame my budget and my space restrictions for getting a smaller fridge. I explained the two fridges were the SAME PRICE and she never took the measurements from our fridge as she told us they are all standard size. I don't appreciate being lied to so I will never shop at Fred's again! read more

Bought a stovetop and double oven on display. Top quality. Never told these were at least 8 yrs old. Warranty is affected due to that. Got them installed and 4 months later one of the burners wouldn't light. Repairman came ( nicest man) and dis overextended the problem. Ordered the part and told us to call the store if we hadn't heard from Fred's in a weeks time. I had to call after a week and told the pat ad been there for a few days. Now we wait 2 1/2 more weeks to get it installed. Would not buy again from Fred's. read more

Our oven quit working on a 2 year old stove. I filled out the online request for service and put down the error code on the request. They never gave it to the tech so he came out 2 weeks later and just took the error code to order part. 2 weeks after this he came to installI it . Oven still does not work so I phoned Freds today to complain and they said it would be another 11 days until a tech could come out again. I asked to speak to the service mgr. but was told he was out of town. How convenient. Never again. read more

Service portion is terrible. They might have decent prices but 3 months is a bit much to fix an over the stove hood light don't you think? We don't have a special hood either. They just don't care. If I could give Fred's no stars, I would. We live in Missoula, so thought everything was local. It is not! Every call is routed through Spokane. I was calling for a service rep I had just talked to in person, and the operator there had said he was no longer working for Fred's, which was a surprise to him, when I was able to access his cell. Parts orders that were placed mysteriously disappeared after we were told the parts had been ordered. I even spoke to one person who said that one part was ordered, but another part was on back order. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, she said there was no evidence that either part had been ordered. Then she said both were on back order. The service reps in Missoula are the best, but Spokane has no idea what quality control is. I truly wonder if they even care. read more

I purchased a new dishwasher with the warranty plan(which sounded amazing). After two months the dishwashers top shelf broke. I called Fred's Appliance to have them schedule a repair visit for two weeks out(seems like a long time without a dishwasher!) When the repairman arrived he was quick to inform me it would be 1-1 1/2 months for the part!!!!!!!
