I have a long history of dental care and I've spent many hours in a dentist chair since childhood, but I'm no longer apprehensive about coming for my visits since I've been coming here. The novocaine injections painless at the skilled hands of Dr. Synder! The tooth extraction, in my case, was removed before I even knew it...within a minute or so, for me, this was nothing short of, MIRACULOUS! Forget the adage, 'no pain no gain'! I called myself in as an emergency and though I had never been to this practice prior, the practice stayed open to make sure I was seen by the doctor. I also wasn't billed as an emergency patient, that is the definition in action of, The Good Samaritan! Dental, endodontic and periodontal procedures can be quite intimating and downright fearful for many people, myself being one of these people. Upon meeting Dr. Snyder I could feel myself start to relax, which I didn't think I could as I was told by a dentist that I had very real and serious concerns that involves, dental and endodontics. All the procedures I was told I needed performed, NOW, leaving me feeling overwhelmed, the shock hadn't even wore off yet. Having an abscess my check had swelled, I had had a low grade fever and had chills previously as a result of the infection and was concerned for my health. Upon meeting Dr. Snyder, his manner and approach had a positive effect melting away my fears, I was able to start relaxing and could breathe again and felt hopeful! I found out too that I did not need everything performed as I had been previously told I did, and there was NO pressure. Dr. Snyder wrote out a prescription for me too, to address the infection. I am now feeling like me again, healthy and not going to die of sepsis. Upon my next appointment, I had a Maintenance cleaning. The dental hygienist Star was kind, capable and reassuring to me regarding my fear of dental work. I also had the best dental cleaning at F.P.A. I was amazed at how beautiful my teeth looked and felt. This has been the first day that I can honestly say I feel no longer overwhelmed. There are not enough stars that honestly reflect the care they provide. Claimed I had too many missed appointments, which was not true. I asked for her to tell me the days I had missed and she condescendingly told me it was irrelevant because I was no longer a client. My small town, rural dentist replaced the rotten baby teeth with fake silver ones until my adult teeth grew in, and the experience was traumatizing. During that procedure, I ended up biting the dentist (it hurt!) and he bit me back!! I always seemed to have cavities as a kid, and the sound of the drill can still send me into a panic. My parents wouldn't tell me until the day of my appointment that I was going because I would agonize for days leading up to the visit. As an adult, I still have trouble getting fully numb for fillings, and just the thought of going to the dentist triggers the fight/flight response. Dr. Edland is the first dentist who truly listened and worked with me on my trouble with Novocain. He is patient, and waits until the anesthetic fully takes hold. There has been one time where I could still feel pain after he started drilling - he stopped, injected more anesthetic, and waited for it to take effect. I can't tell you how grateful I am for his kind and gentle demeanor. He also fully explains everything he is doing, keeping you updated on how far he's gotten and how much work is left. He is pragmatic and doesn't push you into procedures that can wait. And his staff is just as wonderful! Receptionist Liz is an absolute delight. She always makes you feel like you're her favorite patient. Edie assists Dr. Edland during procedures and is attuned to your needs throughout. She always provides comfort and reassurance during stressful visits. Valerie is one of the dental hygienists who is so sweet and gentle. Everyone at this practice is amazing. I just could not recommend Dr. Edland and his staff more!!

I am now sporting a nice looking set of teeth although the crown is in the front. I am also deaf myself and the staff is very accommodating. Came back for a dental cleaning although I have my regular dentist. This is now my go-to. The dentist is also nice and professional!
