Frederick Dental Group (FDG) is a GREAT dentistry practice! My family and I have been coming to the practice for approx. 8 years and have had only good experiences here. Their sign on the entrance door says, "WE CATER TO COWARDS!" Well that's ME! A really bad childhood dental experience made me really leary about dental work altogether. Here, they are professional, and really do care about your comfort and total satisfaction with your care, treatment plans, and services. FDG offers a variety of dental services, including sedation dentistry (hence the "cater to cowards" slogan). Of course they accept insurance, cash and/or credit, but has also teamed up with Cherry, a financing company that may finance your services (if approved). The office itself is nestled in the Spring Ridge community in East Frederick. It's clean, bright, and comfortable. FDG posts information in various areas of the office for their patients' reading pleasure. There is a beverage station in the waiting area, that has coffee and water to enjoy while you wait... and their ambient music is awesome! The care I have received by Dr. Dave is incredible. He is very caring, gentle and takes the time to explain everything so I understand. He even texted to see how I was feeling later that day. My mouth hasn't looked this good for a very long time thanks to him. I used to avoid smiling but now it's a pleasure! The staff at the front desk is very pleasant and professional as well. As we all know the coronavirus outbreak is a little crazy right now and most places are closed. But this office was still open. The sitting area was clean and they offered coffee and small bottled water. The seating seemed adequate for a small office and they had a TV. Location easy to find and the receptionist wasn't really nice but everyone In the back was super nice. My son said the dentist was aggressive lol but overall he liked the office and we will be back in 3 months for another cleaning. read more

I would give zero star if I could. Run the other way and save yourself. I have given great deal of thought before writing this review and hope your experience will be different than mine. Charged $940 just for cone xray out of my pocket. Was given implant cost estimate above $4500. Was told on day when they were ready to put implant that it can't be done on both sides. I asked correct plan as now the charges are double. I was not happy. Finally, went to other dentist and implants were done both side to my satisfaction. I caught them one time before for billing my insurance company wrong(milking them). Adding one more, not prompt with keeping up appointments. read more

I have had nothing but good experiences with Dr. Verma and all of the office staff. My most recent experience was with the hygienist Christina. She cleaned my teeth and answered all my questions. Then later that afternoon she called me herself to see how I was doing and if I was in any pain. I wasn't but I give her credit for going slowly and not rushing through my appointment. Being a coward toward dental work, I apprehensive about visiting Frederick Dental Group. The staff took the time to explain everything from billing insurance to what the doctor recommended.i cannot say enough about Dr Been a and Alex. They make a great team and always show concern. What started as a bad experience with a new member of the Front desk when I called to request my appointment to be change and she said they require a 48 hour cancelation or rescheduling notice otherwise they charge you a $75.00 fee even if you had an emergency which was my case ended nicely because I confirmed that Dr. Verma does take care of his patients, he understood that things come up not even 24 hours after my bad experience with front desk assistance Dr. Verma took his time to call me and apologized for the inconvenience I decided to keep my appointment and I am glad he took care of this issue because I do like him and the rest of the staff they always provide great service!!! STAY AWAY FROM HERE!!! I would not recommend this practice at all. Dishonest. - and they were very slick about the way they handled the bill. Not only do they overcharge for services (industry standard research) they also recommend things you don't need. Dr. Facet is making money at the expense of her clients. Sad. Scary. I recently visited this office for the first time after I had a dental emergency while visiting MD for my sister's wedding. They worked me in on a Monday even though I have never been a patient at their practice. The office staff was wonderful as was the dentist, Dr. Verma. I had fallen and chipped my front tooth a few weeks prior and visited my normal dentist in Tampa, FL who filled my tooth with a resin filling. While eating lunch 5 days before the wedding my tooth cracked off again. Luckily for me the Frederick Dental Group fit me and fixed my tooth with NO PAIN! They were very nice and friendly and did a great job. The tooth turned out beautifully and you can not even tell that it was broken. They even took me back in the office to show me my tooth being made - super cool. I am so grateful for the service they provided and they really saved the day! Thank you again to everyone at the office. If you live in the Frederick area I would highly recommend this dental office. I am thinking about making a trip back for my next cleaning!!! Although everyone was very nice, there was much confusion and disorganization (took three phone calls to get set up, thought I had moved appointments, etc.). I have been going to this office for several years and never really had a problem until now. Not great, not bad. The staff is generally nice minus the fact that everytime I go they have almost all new staff. I recently received a bill and was curious as to why we had one. Well, on our last visit they gave my daughter a flouride treatment without asking me. I called to ask why they would do that without asking me and the response was "They probably assumed it would be covered under insurance" I wont be going back to an office that "probably assumes" things are covered, doesn't ask before doing extra things and then responds to me by saying "what do you want me to do about it" read more

Almost always new staff including doctors. I am now transferring to a new dental group for two reasons, both resulting in shady practice. I am also filing a complaint with the Federal Dental Association and BBB. long story short the most recent issue they claimed my insurance cover x-rays, then they tried to get me to pay the bill once my insurance said it was to recent from my last x-rays. They tried blaming me for it, didn't call me back after 3 separate conversations, then tried tacking on late charges for something they claimed they were checking into, but never did. The time before, some doctor tried pressuring me into procedure that wasn't covered by dental insurance, and "might be covered by my regular" his words. when I went in recently, they never asked me if I decided to go with the procedure, and they were on to their most recent scam. I do recommend going if you want to feel like your mouth just got out of prison after you get a cleaning. read more

Had two appointments this week as a new patient. The first was to take pictures and X-rays of the teeth. Alex (I think his name was) did all that. He was a little bit clumsy but very friendly. Dr. Arapnea Verma (I hope I spelled that correctly) was extremely sharp and knew what she was doing and did it very well. She did a thorough examination including one of my jaw and recommended I do a sleep study to determine why there was so much pain in my jaw but did stress that it was optional so I didn't feel pressured in any way. My second visit, this morning was a regular cleaning. My hygienist was Kristin and she was so so friendly! This is my first appt that's not at a pediatric dentist and she made me feel so comfortable and welcome. I can not say enough good things about her! The cleaning did hurt a small bit but I didn't mind because I know that's what is effective. She was quick, thorough, and sharp and had me in and out in a jiffy. I will have to see how my insurance goes through since they were vague about whether or not my insurance was accepted (I.e "I think so")but if it does and everything is settled, then I will continue to go to this dentist! I can't say enough good things about the Frederick Dental Group! I have serious dental fears and because of that I have put of dental work. I recently got a root canal and crowns done and although it still wasn't a walk in the park, the office made me feel so comfortable and made sure to ask how I was doing the whole time. They explained everything and made sure I understood the care plan. I still don't jump for joy when I have to go but I at least know going will be a better experience then I have had before thanks to this office! read more

I have been going to Dr. Arpanna Verma for over 20 years, first in Germantown and now in Frederick, and she is the absolute best! Both of my daughters and husband both went to Arpanna as well. This is the best dental experience I have had in my life (why I drive the 40 miles round trip to Frederick since they moved when I could go to one of many here in Germantown). The office staff are fantastic as well as the educationally helpful hygienists. Dr. Arpanna has always warned me of what is coming down the road, which baby teeth need to be watched, has done massive amounts of work on me including an implant for a pulled baby tooth and has never tried to "upsell" me any services. She just recently saw me with one day's notice when I was in excruciating pain and correctly diagnosed immediately a failed root canal (20 years old from another dentist) and referred me to a fantastic endodontist (Dr Ro in Gaithersburg) who took care of me right away. I highly recommend Dr. Arpanna or her husband Dave and it is worth the drive to get to them if you don't live in Frederick. I would not recommend Dr. Facet. I'm obsessive about cleaning my teeth. It got to the point that everytime I went in for a routine cleaning I was told I needed to have cavities filled. I can't tell you how many I had filled by this doctor. On my last visit, I requested my records and went to another doctor for a second opinion. They were on edge that I would even want a second opinion which was another red flag for me. Needless to say, I have visited two different dental practices and was told that I didn't need work done. I have a friend that was also a patient of Dr. Facet. After my bad experience, she was also informed that she needed to have a cavity filled. She went for a second opinion and was informed that she didn't need work done either. The same thing happened to her nephew. I would stay clear of this practice people! read more

I have been taking my Granddaughter here for the past few years. They have Always made her feel comfortable. I Trust their Judgement when it comes to her Teeth. I have Never had a Problem with Billing I will continue to take her here for as Long as they have an Office here. read more
