The "billing director" Kassy is unable to submit a proper claim. she is extremely disrespectful to the customers its pushing customers away with her Aggressive threats of collection, money is the priority - not you. On one visit, I arrived for my appointment only to be told my new permanent crown had "gotten lost in the mail," forcing me to get another mold made and wait several weeks again. This was when I got my 2nd or 3rd temporary crown, which fell out about an hour after I left. I wasn't even eating anything. That's when I gave up and just lived with a painful, exposed tooth for a while. I earnestly lost track of how many temporary and permanent crowns fell out of my mouth. I don't have a strange teeth situation, I live a normal lifestyle and made sure not to be eating anything sticky/chewy. The office also incorrectly billed my insurance under a different patient ID, which delayed payment for months. Even after that issue was finally resolved, and insurance payed their chunk, I was sent to collections without any warning for my part before I even got a new bill, and was only eventually informed via mail, for a relatively small outstanding balance I would have no issue paying. I was then hit with a massive collections fee. (side note it's 2025, why are we billing people in the physical mail) I was also charged a $200 "upgrade fee," I was told they use better materials for the crown, or some sorta process insurance companies rarely cover. Which, cool. But I wasn't asked if that's ok. I gave up and paid the bill which ended up being $600, to include a $160 collection fee. They did not erase any charges or fees, even though this started with a botched cleaning and follow on administrative and procedural errors. The cherry on top is their payment system adds a 6% service charge. This was a nightmare experience for what should have been a simple dental procedure. It ended up being painful, time-consuming, and unnecessarily expensive.

Go here at your own risk. I had a procedure that was denied by my insurance but no one told me. I…read moredid not learn until after the procedure was finished that it was not pre-authed, according to the lady at the desk on 12/17. I also had no discussion at anytime with a patient coordinator or given any information regarding cost to me on or after the prior initial appointment, per the Byrd Dental website. See screenshot from their site. The lady charged me 50 something dollars after the procedure, then we were not informed of the full cost until 12/18 when they claimed it was just denied. That paperwork shows it was denied on the 11th of November(almost 6 weeks ago) though, so they did try to pre-auth it but it was denied and no one said anything. Now I am supposed to pay 500 bucks because no one informed me it was not going to be covered, as any respected business would do. Otherwise, it is just deceptive, bad faith business practices. Simply put, if I knew it was denied, I wouldn't have had it done because I just had it done a few months ago, at a different dentist. Byrd Dental knew this and they likely knew it would be denied based on my conversations while in office. The dentist's office is blaming the insurance, the insurance says it is the dentist's office. Neither informed me of a denial and neither will have to pay for it. Just to be clear, we got appointment reminders through text, email, and calls including a real person. The dentist's office had ample opportunity to say it was denied and did not. The insurance company says they sent the mail but it never arrived in our mailbox, or to the mail distribution center where photos of incoming mail are taken. We have other mail from them regarding the previous dentist but nothing regarding Byrd Dental and we have scoured the digital photos to be certain. Byrd Dental has a chance to right this situation and keep a customer. If they do, I will update this review. If not, I hope you avoid them so this does not happen to you.

Every time I've gone, I've paid my bill & was good to go (over $400 worth out of pocket before I could leave). Dr. H had asked if I wanted a desensitizing treatment for my cavities. I had asked if they were covered by my insurance & she said yes so I went ahead and got it. The second time I received it for my other side, the front desk tried to charge me over $400 for it. I was like no- it should be covered that's what I was told by Dr. H. They said okay no worries we'll take care of it. They are calling me now 4 months later saying I have a $700+ bill overdue that I've never received nor was told about when I closed my account in November because of these treatments. Even the person on the phone was telling me she's shocked it's so much because she usually only sees it for $30 a tooth... make it make sense. Where did this bill all of a sudden come from? They better figure it out because I wouldn't have gotten the treatment otherwise if they had stuck to their word. Or had come back multiple times if I had known they were going to be so mistrusting to their word. I'm honestly exhausted of financial malpractice at dentist offices. I had thought I finally found a decent one. But this really took me over the edge. They told me at the end of last year that for 2026 they would stop taking my insurance, Delta Dental, which so many people have. Clearly, there is a disconnect between the patient/doctor experience & financial department & they'll continue to lose patients if they continue this. So beware!

I had several old silver fillings that I wanted replaced due to cosmetic reasons, a build up from a route canal that had no pain and a tooth that was slightly chipped . Dr. Dinh refused to replace the fillings until I had agreed to let him crown both teeth with no pain. I should have ran. I finally agreed to let him crown the two teeth ( one was a molar). After he finished, I had to return to him approximately 7 times complaining that food was getting trapped in between the molar and it had became very painful. Instead of replacing the crown he continued to give me the run - around. Mind you, I had been going to him every 6 month to have my teeth cleaned , examined and x-rayed. All of a sudden he said i had bone loss where he put the crown. I ask, "how could this be"? As a result of his negligence I have severe bone loss where he put the crown and now the tooth has to be extracted. The tooth in front of the molar has constantly hurt every time I bite down on it. He continued to con his way through every visit. Please, run from him if you want to keep all of your teeth in your head. Wait time 10 minutes
