My brother works in Berwyn and we were looking for a spot to grab lunch yesterday. OMG Everything I ordered was absolutely delicious!!! I had the cheese ravioli, eggplant w/veal and broccoli spinach mix. Finished w/Tiramisu sorbet and went home happy. The pizza looked really good too. I'll try that when I return. The atmosphere, and set up here is awesome! Gives you a throwback look of the old cicero. I had the gnocchi w/ vodka sauce, a piece of lemon chicken, and a piece of arancini w/ meat and cheese. The gnocchi is delicious, as well as the sauce, the lemon chicken was very average, and the arancini was great! Before I left I made sure to get some gelato. I sampled tiramisu, pistachio, double nutella, and Italian cookie, all in which I would recommend. Definitely going to come back here. Trip to Chicago was alot of fun and freddy's pizza was one of the best stops for great food and a great experience. Meet people in line who were raised nearby and still stop at freddy's everytime they are back; I can see why. They have the best market and their to go or eat in choices are all very good. First, let me say, this place is the best Italian food other than my Aunts' kitchens! Authentic and 100% incredible. I have not had everything on their menu, but everything I have tried, I love. Eggplant Parmesan, many chicken dishes, Meatball sandwiches, salads, pastas...vodka sauce and basic marinara are incredible. Not a big seating area, so good to bring home, they also have a small store where you can buy all their pastas, sauces, and cook at home. Great little deli with various sausages/meats, all very good. I absolutely love this place. I am mad that I have been in the area for so long and never new about it. It looks like a small pizza joint, but so much more. A friend recommended it, and have been going ever since. In addition to everything already said, it is family operated, and Anna, the owner's wife, is the queen of customer service. She wants you to enjoy the food and sincerely wants you to come back. It is night and day difference than the chain restaurants. Quality of food and service are top notch. First time here and I had a wonderful experience thanks to Eddie, also known as "fast" Eddie. I walked in unsure were the line began or were to order and Eddie came right up to me asking how I may be helped. I came in for dinner but was also curious to try the gelato. I asked if I could try a couple and what his favorites were. I went with the butter pecan and tiramisu flavors and another of limoncello for my sister. We loves our choices! Great recommendations! He also provided me with several menu options for dinner which I went with a stuffed ricotta cheese pasta! He informed me it was to be weighed and that is was cash only. My husband took me to this place for a beef one day and I was like no I want something else. Well something else was a new item every time. I have even used them for catering and my guests have thought I made it. My fav is the lemon chicken and caprese salad. Always grab some homemade pasta sauce and fresh sausage or meatballs to bring home for a meal the next day.
