Freckle is great. The staff is super friendly and I've never had trouble getting an appointment. The work is always superb, and they have great coffee! I've had manicures, pedicures, "spa" mani/pedis, and gel done -- no complaints yet. Being Italian-Latina makes waxing a painful experience for me, but going to freckle makes it tolerable and somewhat pleasant. She moves very fast and is efficient. They are okay here my pedicure looks good. but they don't make an effort at all. I was told that I could only get my pedicure done because they didn't have openings /enough time. Just to then watch one nail technician just do nothing while she could be doing my nails. I was told that she was waiting for her next appointment.... but how hard it is to squeeze in a person? She was free for more than 15 minutes... that would have been enough time to help one very eager costumer. They just don't take the effort to make you feel welcome. They accepted me without appointment for a manicure. I had a good welcoming with smiling people. The woman who took care of me and my hands was very good. She gave me advices to chose my color nails. My friend and I both got gel manicures here on Saturday and are so pleased! $25 if no soak off needed and $30 with soak off isn't bad at all. Very friendly service and complimentary tea. My soak off took a little long but they didn't rush through anything and made sure my manicure was perfect. Will definitely come back to get them done again in 3 weeks. read more

I decided to give this place a chance because the reviews & prices were so good and I was able to get an appointment at the last minute. The place is nice & Staff is pleasant. Anya was nice but she was roughhhhhh (I got a Brazilian - ouch!). she was quick but she ripped the paper off harder than she needed to. This treatment is never fun either way. Her greatest downfall was that she double dipped! A big NO NO! She used 3 different sticks but double dipped all of them. I can understand not wanting to waste, but she should try breaking her sticks in half so they can last longer & she wouldn't have to double dip. The end result was good at first but about a week later I got soooo many ingrowns, it wasn't cute. I will not be returning. read more

To start, I'm not from around here. I'm visiting my brother and he lives in the area. A basic pedicure at home is usually $35+ so I really enjoy getting mani pedis here in the city. I did my research and this seemed like a great place! I made an appointment for Friday afternoon. My nail tech, Alexandra was polite and sweet. I could tell she wasn't feeling well due to allergies, however this didn't stop her from doing an amazing job. This place is awesome! Very small but cute and obviously a personally owned business. I had a high bikini wax with Anya, and while it definitely was painful, it was also flawless and over in about twelve minutes flat. No redness, no ingrown hairs, no bumps - totally smooth. Anya wears gloves and takes extra care with each area, especially the sensitive parts. Plus, they also have local beauty products like S.W. Basics of Brooklyn, which I absolutely love.
