People only really come in there to get their medication. They're not really there Shop for anything else everything is bought on Amazon these days The lines are ridiculous at the pharmacy that should not be the case. People just want to get their medication and go home the wait is ridiculous. Two stars because the store is clean for the most part and they have a lot of inventory and it is my neighborhood Cvs, but they could do better !

I always find it interesting how CVS and Walgreens are always on the opposite corners in every town. They both seem to do well and always carry a large stock (and variety) of the [shower, shave, aspirin, prescription medication, etc...] items I'm looking for. There is no drive through at this location but an easy in and out off Hillside Ave. and plenty of parking. I like CVS for their young, energetic team that has always been extremely helpful with those hard to find items. I also like the idea of their food aisles with the basics.... This was extremely helpful during those times when you can't do multiple stores. Give them a try if you're not already a customer. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised with the quantity and variety of items you can find in this store.

Why you ask? Well at lunch time those who want to be seen in their fancy cars and designer outfits show up to go to the gourmet deli/sandwich store next door. Kitchen kabaret is the big draw in this shopping center. After the hoity toity finish with lunch they head over to the CVS for the personal shopping service. These customers ask where everything is like they have never been in a CVS before. The CVS employees handle this mass quantity of human stupidity with a smile. They are able to straight faced tell them exactly where there product is located, aisle number and area. But, even that information is not enough. These fancy dressed knuckle draggers need to be personally escorted to the item. For the love of God, you can afford that fancy Prada bag, go some where and buy a clue. Get out and learn where to get your shampoo and your paper towels. Not everyone in life is at your disposal. PS: If you decide to go to Kitchen Kabaret, bring your first born and take out a second mortgage. You might also want to take out a title loan.

To get in you have to walk outside for about a block just to get into the store. If I have to walk out of the building, it will be to my car, not to this Walgreens, especially in inclement weather. If the door happens to be unlocked, good luck finding a cashier to check you out. No counter bell, nobody in the aisles. How does this place stay in business?

By the time I found out, my surgeon's office was already closed for the day. Because the prescription was sent electronically, I was told it couldn't simply be transferred to another pharmacy. For something as critical as post-surgical pain management, proactive communication is essential. Being surprised at closing time left me scrambling and concerned about managing pain once my nerve block wears off. I understand that supply issues can happen, but better communication could have prevented a very stressful situation.

My life since making the switch to Sterling Pharmacy (which I frequently instinctively refer to as Sterling Forest, as Sterling Forest has a special place in my childhood memories), has been such a joy. They are highly competent and capable and I know I can trust them and rely on them completely. It has been many years since I could say that about a pharmacy in Queens, approximately, 6-7 years in fact. I should add that I do have a complicated medical history and require some uncommon prescriptions which I know from my previous experiences are difficult for some pharmacies to easily get. In the recent past, my previous pharmacy would accept my prescription and assure me that they could get it, (2 weeks before it was due) and then call me at the 11th hour and tell me they could not get it. This sent me scrambling to fill my prescription in a hurry elsewhere at the last minute. Often I had to fill the prescription in Manhattan which is rather crazy when you live in Queens. Thank Goodness for the wonderful people at Sterling Pharmacy. Make the switch yourself. You will be grateful you did much like myself.

About an hour before closing time I made a call, describe what we needed, and I drove over there. The price was as good as any national retailer, the product was better designed and easier to install than those I had seen online, and the people at Elmhurst were very helpful.
