Hands down THE worst pharmacy experience I have ever had in my life. The drive through is a joke, they do not service the window adequately. Expect to wait at least 30 mins if there is one car in front of you. Calling is even more of a joke. I have had pharmacists hang up on my doctors as well. I was really surprised to see such a low rating for this Walgreens. But after making the mistake of scheduling a flu shot here, I now totally understand. If you plan on getting a flu shot or covid shot here, this is what to expect: 1.Schedule an appointment online; no walk-ins. 2.When you arrive, expect to be ignored for a good 10-15 minutes, even after you ask for help; even if you are the absolute ONLY customer there!!; even though there are 6 ppl working at the pharmacy. 3.The person who will eventually help you (the "Pharmacy Operations Manager") will not utter more than 5 words to you the entire time you're there. Don't expect a Hello or a smile. 4. Have your insurance card handy but she won't bother asking for your ID. 5.She will give you a form to fill out, then disappear; making you once again, stand there waiting, and waiting, and waiting...she will mysteriously reappear when you finally complain LOUDLY. 6.The actual flu shot took all of 5 seconds...but why did it take 40 MINUTES?!?!?! THE WORST customer service!! You've been warned! Come if you're lonely and have lots of time to kill...but don't expect them to utter more than 5 words to you. Hands down, one of the worst pharmacies I have ever dealt with. You're lucky if someone answers the phone. You are put on hold for several minutes - 45 to be exact in my situation. I called and finally spoke to someone for them to tell me they are ordering my prescription and it will be in tomorrow. I call them the next day to hear "we have no prescriptions for you." I have gotten the run around several times and no one seems to have a clue what is going on. When I went in to get my prescription, they ended up giving me the wrong medication. I will not be going here going forward and I strongly suggest that you avoid this place at all costs. read more

We have been coming to this location for years. The pharmacy staff knows me on sight and is always pleasant. They make dealing with my mother's many prescriptions, doctors, and insurance less of a headache. The wait is often long, but the service is well worth it read more

I had a terrible experience at this location with the pharmacy tech name Natalie. She came across as condescending and rude and told me I should've known that they go on break from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM. Meanwhile there's no sign that is on their drive-through window, acknowledging that.she was very abrasive and even though I got there at 1:20. She gave me a hard time getting my medication. These people need better customer service training, especially in the medical field. It's despicable. read more

as i make my rounds in long island to see former coworkers i pulled into the parking lot that houses a walgreens and not just any walgreens , it have a drive thru pharmacy section which in my opinion is for the lazy types . i did my meet and greet and leave in under 30 minutes and before heading back home i will grab some walgreens brand paper towels and tissue papers at 2 for 10 bucks . nice spacious size store and its well stocked as well and damn its not the flu season but the pharmacy dept area is crowded. got my stuff and grabbed a soda and bag of pretzels for my snack drive back to astoria. its a long island typical walgreens and that ok in my book . read more

It is a clean well stocked establishment with friendly, knowledgeable staff. This was recently reinforced when my son lost his phone in the vicinity of the store. I locked the phone through his Apple account with a message and number to call me if found. We thought it was long gone when I received a call from the manager three days later stating they had found the phone. I'm grateful for the honesty of this Walgreens and will always make them my first choice in drug stores. read more

Worst most uninformed people.....after waiting forever for someone to help me in photo, they basically told me I couldn't take a passport picture because I was wearing white ... when I asked if I could borrow a shirt or some sort of table cloth they basically said they had nothing for me to lay over myself for a minute to take the picture... talk about being accommodating for the customer... went to cvs across the street and they did it without a problem read more

The pharmacy staff is the worst. I went twice to get a prescription and it wasn't ready. The third time I waited for it and was told it would be 15 minutes. It took them 45 minutes because they forgot about it! CVS no longer accepts my insurance otherwise I would go there. read more

Went to the pharmacy area for a flu shot this week. One hour later I got it. Yes, one hour. The level of service is completely incompetent. The line of people grew as I waited. Distancing broke down with the numbers of people waiting for service. So they're creating COVID risk while making people wait an hour for a flu shot. Do yourself a favor - go to CVS across the street. read more

I was here for a vaccine. I usually go across the street at CVS but they did not have the vaccine in stock so I made my way over here. The manager was immediately dismissive when I handed over my insurance card even before checking the status of it. She was immediately like "we don't accept this and then a couple seconds later she is like oh wait maybe we do I'm so sorry let me check." She seems overwhelmed and unstable. Throughout the process she kept going back and forth and the overall process took about 20-30 min when it should've taken less than 5... Not to mention,The way she speaks to the other pharmacists in training was not impressive at all either. I will not be back for the pharmacy. The people across the street at CVS pharmacy are way more accommodating and patient. read more

Love the cleanliness and modern feel of the new pharmacy; the cashier today-- not so much. No hello or goodbye or thank you when I left. Started ringing up the next customer when I hadn't even taken my purchases off the counter. These little things matter. It's called customer service.
