First time trying Franks after many years of visiting Silvis. And honestly, the pizza is really good. We had a few of the deluxe and one pepperoni. Now I understand why this place has been here forever!! Great crust on this pizza. Sauce, cheese and other ingredients are good quality. Only "dings" I give them: the unorthodox slicing makes it really hard to eat - just finish slicing with two more cuts!! And the large pizzas we ordered got very soggy in the center, making those slices less desirable, which is counter intuitive. The place was PACKED when we went to pick up our ToGo order. Not even room to stand and wait inside. Plus it looked like it had its last makeover in perhaps the mid 70s. I liked the pizza, sliced it more myself and would definitely recommend take out. read more

70+ years in business...I've been going there for about 50 of them. A few things have changed over the years, but a lot has not. Pizzas have more topping options than in the distant past, but a lot of the menu has stood the test of time. You need to pay in cash, but there is an ATM on site. Watch for your Kennedy Half Dollar in your change. You can get pre-made frozen pizzas with a bit of advance notice; you'll need to find someone to ship them. We like to get the half-baked pizza and take it home and freeze sections to have later. On our most recent visit we got dinner and took home our half-baked pizza to start enjoying the next evening. I got the Italian Beef and my wife got Fries Chicken. Both were great! I had a large pile of tender beef with green pepper on French bread. The chicken was crispy, piping hot, and delicious. The tables are either original or food replicas, as are the chairs. They still have the old style cloth rotating hand towels in the bathroom, with paper towels for the less adventurous. Bar drinks are good, and they carry a wide variety of beer by the bottle and can and soda by the can so you won't have to take a Pepsi product over Coca-Cola or visa-versa. You may get to enjoy sitting at a table with others if they're busy, but don't shy away from making new friends It's a unique style of pizza (QC style), but there are a lot of us that like it and I've converted a number of newbies into fans! Relax, enjoy the unique vibe, and have some darn tasty grub. read more

Frank's Pizza is my favorite pizza of all time! The place isn't fancy by any stretch, but the pizza is always outstanding and the service is always quick and attentive. Their sausage pizza is the most popular and for good reason. Bring cash as they don't take credit cards or checks! read more

You absolutely cannot say you are a Quad Citizen or resident of the Silvis area if you haven't had, and loved, Frank's Pizza! This spot has been a Downtown Silvis main stay for 50 years... and for good reason! The menu features not only great pizza, but also spaghetti, pasta, and fried chicken... and it is all AMAZING! Cash only and it gets pretty busy on most nights, but well worth it. Get some today! read more

Went there last night after a basketball game and since we don't get to Frank's much we were really looking forward to stopping and I'm sorry but we were really disappointed the sausage had a weird taste to it and the crust on the bottom of the pizza was not done, we boxed up what was left and are having it tonight but could only chock down 2 pieces I don't think we'll be going to Frank's again just bad tasting pizza read more

Great Quad Cities style pizza! Their sausage mushroom is delicious! I love the amount of toppings that they included. They are worth the cost! I would eat this pizza every single time I visit the Quad Cities, as we are from out of state. The quad cities has "ruined me" on many other pizzas in Ohio because they are so good!!! I heard this is the style that started it all, so it's worth a try if you're around here!!! read more

Pizza and fried chicken were delicious. Just did carry out. It was ready when I arrived

I've literally been eating at Frank's since I got teeth and could have solid food. The fried chicken is my favorite thing. They use a henny penny fryer and their spices and light chicken coating I've never been able to duplicate and never found another place that has neither. The pizza is so good and the Italian beef is also phenomenol. Every time family comes ro town this is the first place we all go to eat. They also ship out of town as well. read more

Terrible service, long wait (40mins for a pizza), and overpriced for what ended up being a barely average pizza.

Walked in and got my order and food in five minutes. That was great. My Italian beef was good. I forgot to ask for it wet but I'll get it next time. I do recommend the owners add the hot peppers as a choice of topping. They do have green peppers. I didn't eat inside but it looked clean to me. read more

While, admittedly, Rock Island County may not have much to offer, this establishment is a real treat. Pizza is top-notch, highly recommended if you happen to be in the area. Also, though I have never tried it, the fried chicken looks and smells delicious. Food is quality, but unfortunately the atmosphere leaves much to be desired. It is very divey, certainly nowhere I would bring a date, but at least the clientele always seems to be in high spirits and staff are friendly. read more

Best of the Quad Cities, been eating there my entire life and have never not enjoyed a meal

Been going there for 60 years. Tonight I had the most tasteless sausage pizza of my life. My complaint as a long time customer that managers remarks were "don't know what to tell you" This was over the phone. I know places have bad nights or one offs but come on ....some customer service for a business that has been there for 69 years. Very disappointed. read more

Frank's Club Napoli Pizzeria, in Silvis, IL (part of Rock Island area) is purported to have created "Quad Cities Style" pizza. Never heard of it? Me neither, until a couple years ago, and I lived there for two years back in the day! What's different about Quad Cities Style Pizza? The crust uses malt as an ingredient, it's relatively flat but the edges are puffy and crispy. Tomato sauce has a little bit of kick from cayenne and red chili flakes. Toppings are under the cheese, (and there's a boatload of cheese) and if you opt for a sausage pie, the sausage is crumbled, not chunks. Finally, no triangles or squares on this baby, the pie is sliced into strips. Characteristics of this style of pizza include a pizza crust made with malt, tomato sauce sometimes made with cayenne and red chili flakes, toppings placed under the cheese, and strips being cut instead of slices. So here's the thing. Ordered half sausage, half pepperoni, glass of Old Style (of course), and I COULD NOT STOP EATING IT.  Wanted so desperately to take some home.  Finally pushed myself away from the table so I could get a few slices out of there. People don't go to Frank's for ambiance. They go for the pizza (and some for pasta).  They were doing a fairly brisk business even at a weekend lunch. I loved it. Serious.  Top three on my list.   Just off I-80 if you're traveling on Main Street USA.  Cash only. read more

We came to dinner tonight with a party of 6. Slight wait which wasn't a problem. Very busy place. Definitely well loved by the locals. The issue is the amount of customers and staff walking around without masks during this pandemic. Those that wore masks a few staff members had them actually covering their nose. FOOD: My husband raved about the sausage pizza. I did not enjoy it. Very little sauce, a TON of sausage and cheese. The cheese slid off the pizza in a huge chunk and the crust was rubbery. Very difficult to eat. read more

Frank's always has been and always will be the best pizza in the Quad Cities! Always wonderful, friendly, fast service! I love it that the Silvis Frank's looks exactly as it did 35 years ago! That old time cafe/diner motif, with the black & white checkered floor. Classic! read more

Nothing tastes as good as it used to. I'm not sure if they've changed the recipes or the seasonings or what but it's not the same. It's not bad. You may like it. I don't anymore read more

This place, was so bad that if I could I would give it no stars. As we walked in, we decided we wanted take out since we wanted to go back to our hotel soon. There was a lady who asked us rudely, what we wanted to eat, but we didn't know because no one offered a menu. After, she gave us the menu we ordered a veggie pizza. After about 15-20 minutes are order wasn't ready (which wasn't a big deal) but we saw the lady that gave us the menu, eating and sitting at the bar laughing around with other people. She then got up got up and gave a pizza (without washing her hands) to another customer. So unhygienic! We ended up buying 2 plates for 20 cents, and when she gave us our change back, she said "you might need that later" as if to mock us that we hadn't given her a tip. We didn't even eat the $20 pizza because as shown in the pictures below, it looked horrible (so we threw it away). The cheese and all the toppings on it slid off. Worst pizza place ever. read more

Very popular place that would be very easy to miss from the outside - don't! It's got great pizza! Is it one of the best? Nope. Is it very good to the point that it's as good as what I could do but saves me the time to do it? You betcha! Their ingredients are fresh and the pizza tastes like it's from scratch - meaning the dough is flour, yeast, etc, given time to rise, and prepped every morning. The service was beyond excellent. I demand that everyone give this place a try - the chicken dinner an acquaintance got was extremely tasty and looked like half a chicken! read more

My boyfriend told me that if I have any loyalty to Harris Pizza whatsoever, I should give Frank's Pizza no more than two stars despite the fact that our experience there last Friday was nothing short of delicious. Hope he doesn't break up with me. The interior is authentically from the 60's and it was PACKED. Luckily, we were able to find seats at the bar, where we received efficient service from the harried, but nice, bartender. We ordered the Italian Delight from the House Specialties menu and it and it was absolutely mouthwatering. The leftovers didn't disappoint, either. I was an instant fan. We don't talk about it as much as we should, but there is a sharp divide in the QC between people who love Harris Pizza and people who love Frank's Pizza. I thought I knew where I fell on this spectrum but after eating at Frank's last week, I'm not sure anymore. Can't we just agree that we're blessed to live in the land of Quad City-style pizza? I love to live deliciously. read more
