We live in Davenport and we drive over to get this deep dish pizza! My family enjoys getting the taco pizza and deep dish pepperoni + sausage. The flavors are good especially when they add the garlic on the crust. We have eaten in and also carried out. Heard about this place from friends and thought I would try it. Pizza was at best average. Similar to Domino's. Had a disagreement with management about my bill. To make a long story short. I was basically told tough luck. Ordered 1/2 and 1/2 pizza and was charged as if I ordered full 2 topping pizza. This was my issue. Unfortunately because of this, I witheld tip because of overcharge. I have never before not tipped a server. She unfortunately got caught in the middle. I have also never been treated so poorly by a restaurant owner or management. Fast forward 3 days and an extra 7 dollars was added to my charge card. I would call it theft or fraud altering the receipt. Filed a dispute with my credit card company and was notified I received 7 dollars from Maria's pizza. You can do the math and decide what happened. Beware if you choose to dine here. read more

Since we moved to Silvis, we decided to try something local. We had friends that told us Maria's Pizza was really good. We got sausage and pepperoni pizza. Me and my girl got a carry out order. It was fairly heavy. My girl couldn't carry it but I could. We got an extra large veggie Pizza.. For what you get, the prices are more than fair. Maria's is usually so good. Lasagna is fabulous!! The pan pizza we had 1/11 was the worst pizza I have ever eaten. The menu does not reflect the $4 upcharge for a pan pizza either. Also the menu said they have a small and large ravioli. They only have a large now but haven't bothered to update the menu. $ 40 foe a small pizza and what should have been a small ravioli. I couldn't even eat it. Disappointed! Try to support small and local businesses but they have let things go. Terrible!! read more

We went there for supper and it was very good. I've eaten a lot of tortellini at Italian restaurants and the sauce here was what I call drinkable, so good you could put it in a cup and drink it. My wife has Maria's sub and it was amazing as well. The bread was soft and just right. Next time we will have the pizza. There was a deep dish served next to us and they said it was delicious. Ok. Where do I start. First I'm a Chicago style pizza connoisseur! It's my favorite style off pizza and I can't get enough of it! For years I had to drive to Giordano's in Chicago to get my fix! NOT ANY MORE! Maria's was amazing! The sauce is spicy and I can tell they use only the best ingredients! A couple things to understand. 1. I could tell they are overwhelmed, people has obviously found out about them! 2 Chicago style pizza is NOT fast pizza. It takes forever to bake. Not the pizza joints fault. 3. If your going to order pizza from them. Tell yourself you have 1.5 to 2 hours before you eat! As for my advice to the owner. Make sure your employees acknowledge customers as the come in. Just a simple "hi we are swamped. We appreciate you coming in. Please bear with us! Our food is definitely worth it!" Would go a long way! read more

Experience- TERRIBLE!! Waitresses wipe tables down and toss the food on the tables onto the floor. The table we sat at had lettuce, onions and tomatoes all over the floor. Took 45 minutes for the garlic cheese sticks. Manager said they take 25 minutes to cook, not sure why it took 45 minutes to get to us. We ordered calzones, waitress put down we ordered subs. We had to wait for them to cook them after waiting 45 minutes. Now have to take our meal home since we waited over an hour and 30 mins for our meal. Our waitress couldn't even get our drink orders right, mind you, there was only 2 of us. Just a "sorry" for all the mistakes and wasting our time, no compenstation. We've had other restaurants compensate us for much less errors. This was a major thing today, wrong drinks, 45 minute wait for an appetizer that takes 25 mins, completely wrong food sent to our table and making us wait an additional 45 minutes. They should have done SOMETHING. Many people got served before us and they tried to tell us ALL of them called their meals in before 3 and told them to have their meals ready for a certain time. Total lie as each and every one of those tables ordered off the menu. And apparently no one knows how long the waitress had been there. Manager said 3 days, waitress herself said 2 days and another gal said shes been there 2 weeks. Never stopping here again. read more

My husband and I tried Maria's for the first time recently and it was a hit! We wanted to try one of everything so we ordered a pan taco pizza, stuffed sausage pizza, a thin crust, and garlic bread! Everything was super good! We aren't pan pizza people, so we'd recommend taco on thin crust, but everything tasted really good! The garlic bread was so good too!! We've been to the restaurant before and had great experiences but we found out they deliver to our home and finally took advantage of it. Our food was hot, my deep dish stuffed pepperoni pizza and garlic cheese bread were delicious! My husband's sandwich was supposed to have onions, mushrooms, and banana pepper but came with O, M, and black olives (which my husband loathes). He ended up picking them off rather than asking me to call so I'm not sure if they would have done anything but once he got them all off and added a giardinara that we had here on it he really liked it too. I just feel bad that his food wasn't as warm as mine when he finally started eating. My pizza was a medium and it was so big I was only able to eat one piece and a couple pieces of the cheese bread. We would totally order again but make sure to let them know that my husband hates black olives read more

We love Maria's, we try to go once a week , at least , never a bad experience, in 8 months, always a clean floor , chairs, tables and menu's, always prompt courteous service, always very good portions, the hot food is hot and the cold food is cold. wait staff always right on the ball, great menu choices, parking is pretty good as is the pricing. we really needed a place this good for a long time. If I had one wish it would be that they contact me about offering a really good Reuben sandwich, we have to drive all the way over to Barney's in Geneseo to get one , now. 2nd trip back. Brought the family this time with us as the food was good last time we came. Have to say I'm impressed that my last review didn't fall on deaf ears. Much improved from our first time. Good again was great. Stuffed pizza is the way to go. My in laws still say they'd go back and that was days ago. The owner to the time to flag me down when we were there and thanked me for my feedback. Not a lot of people will do that. Service is key to me and this place has the service and food is great. Drinks are getting better and the more options for the un-caffeinated customer. We tried the taco pizza about two months ago and weren't really impressed. For the most part, the pizza was great but it just wasn't our thing. We decided to try it again over the weekend. This time we ordered the spaghetti pizza. It was LITERALLY insane!! Like. How did someone come up with this brilliant and delicious mess!? We were so thrilled with this pizza that we decided to try the baked pasta tonight. BEST IDEA EVER!!! It was delicious. The bread was just OK but the pasta was out of this world. Try it. You won't be sorry. They're always on time and make the food exactly how it's ordered without seeming annoyed or frustrated. They are wonderful to work with and treat the whole town like family. This place is legit! My husband and I ordered a couple pizzas for carryout to try on Sunday night. He got a thick crust cheese pizza and I created my own thin crust with pepperoni, black olives, onions and green peppers. They both were delicious. Good amount of toppings in each bite, the sauce and crust were the perfect blend of sweet and salty. Probably one of the better pizza joints in the area. The staff are really friendly too, which always helps! A few cons is their price is pretty high, but most places around here are. Can't wait to try again! read more
