Walked into Bad Boyz Pizza braced for the usual "edgy name, sad cheese" bait-and-switch. Reader, the name wrote a check the kitchen fully cashed. The pizza is, in the technical culinary sense, fire. Crust with actual structural integrity, sauce that tastes like someone gave a damn, cheese-to-toppings ratio dialed in by a person who has clearly eaten pizza before -- a lower bar than you'd think, and most places still trip over it. And the tunes. Whoever's running the playlist deserves a raise or at least full creative control, because I came for dinner and stayed an extra fifteen minutes because a good song came on and leaving felt like quitting halfway through a workout. We went tonight to grab some dinner and it was rather busy but within a few minutes many, many tables left so we sat down at one. A waitress started cleaning all the other tables but ours until our son asked if we were ever going to get our table cleaned. After 15 mins, we finally got our table cleaned and ordered drinks. Another waitress came to take our order in which we ordered two appetizers but at this point just wanted the pizza to go so did just that. The appetizers and pizza came out together and the pizza not in a to-go box. The appetizer was burnt. The service was horrible. We had to flag down a waitress every time and we had to get up and get our own silverware and plates as none were brought to us. That's the second time now that we have gone and it's been awful. Pretty solid pizza place . Friendly service and nice clean bar type restaurant. We ordered the bad boyz bread and 3 different calzones. Everything was excellent. I can't do a review of the venue since we were at the grewery next door and had it delivered so I can't speak on the venue. However, the pizza was super good. I havent had quad city style pizza before, slightly sweet crust, but I liked it. The crust was perfectly prepared and crispy, but not overcooked. The toppings were plentiful and good, we had the cheeseburger pizza. It was a good size for the price and warmed up really well at home the next day. I'd gladly get this pizza again. read more

Had a get-together with a group of 7 of us. We started outside -- the seating there is under a bridge, which wasn't quite in the right place to protect us from the rain that eventually started, and you do have to tidy up chairs from the bird deposits before sitting, but otherwise the setting was good. Our food and drink experience was good. Our server was very efficient and brought drinks out with lightning speed. The food orders came out quickly too. I had a calzone and it was HUGE and had fresh ingredients - very good overall. Others in the group got various sandwiches, other calzones, and a sausage pizza. Everyone enjoyed their food...and the service. They share their location with another bar that's down the hallway with shared bathrooms. We arrived on a Saturday night at dinner time. Seating was a struggle and the table was only "sort of" clean. Our waitress was pleasant but I could tell she was stressed. I don't know if they were understaffed or problems in the back but it showed in her very hurried order taking. The pizza arrived 35 minutes later. It was good, but not great. It had a nice crust, generous cheese, but the sausage was fine grind and had some serious hot spots that I didn't appreciate. My husband and I came here on a Sunday for lunch. The place was dead...I mean no one else there whatsoever (except one bar tender and two cooks). I had heard this place was good so I was just hopeful that everyone else was at home grilling out since it was a nice day and the lack of people didn't show that the food wasn't good. I knew I wanted to start with a salad but looking at the menu, there was not a salad option. My husband and I landed on the John Wilkes Booth pizza and I asked if they had salads available. The waitress (bartender) said yep they have them. My question is, why not put them on the menu then!?!? The salad was of decent size (a typical side salad) and tasted fresh enough. When the pizza came, it was a bit bigger than we originally imagined. It did look delicious! I understand that Quad City style pizza is thin and cut into strips but I am just not the biggest fan. It was too thin and easily fell apart. The crust was over done although it did have good flavor. This is not my first choice for pizza. read more

Everyone wishes they would take the motorcycle off the wall and replace it with TVs. It's 2018 guys, get some TVs up. You would draw a bigger crowd. In hopes management sees this: I did order for carry out one night and the guy in the kitchen was super rude to me. I called and asked how late the kitchen was open and he answered in the most rudest of tones and hung up. I called back and he continued to be rude to me. Absolute and utter filth from the bathroom to walking by the open door kitchen. Ingredients everywhere. Flies everywhere because the patio door was open and the pizza making counter is open to diners to observe. Piles of large dust bunnies next to floor fan. Trash on floor. An overall sense of uncleanliness. I suspect if they were inspected that evening they would have been closed. I visited the Quad Cities to play golf at TPC Deere Run a few weeks ago and I ordered carryout from Bad Boy'z Pizza on a Saturday night. If you visit the Quad Cities then you shouldn't miss out on trying Quad Cities style pizza. I first heard of the Quad Cities style with a place in Chicago called Roots Pizza. I walked in and it was packed as it's also a sports bar and my order was ready on time. Bad Boy'z Pizza has some very creative pies named after some historical bad boyz like John Wilke's-Booth, Machine Gun Kelly, and Jack the Ripper. I ordered the John Wilke's-Booth pie, which was grilled chicken, broccoli, bacon, ranch, mozzarella, and cheddar cheeses. The toppings were excellent, but the crust was a little overcooked as it was super dry. The pizza was also very cheesy, which was a plus. The sauce also had a little bit of spice to it. I also ordered the Bad Boy'z bread, which was cheesy bread with pizza sauce. The Bad Boy'z bread was pretty generic and ok. Prices were fairly cheap as the cost of living is a lot cheaper than Chicago. Overall, Bad Boy'z pizza has ok food and looks to be a popular sports bar. read more

This pizza was awful. It tasted kind of like tombstone. Cost way too much for what it was.

At best it was ok. Far too small for the crowd they had. Kitchen is too small for the amount of food they put out. 3 people in the kitchen were working on top of each other. We orded for carryout and was told 35 minutes. Got there on time and was told they were out of ground beef for our Big Max pizza. Rather than call us to let us know they just waited until we got there. Now we had to wait another 20 minutes for our food. You would think a phone call would be an easy thing. No comps for having to wait or even a small discount for the screw up. Pizza was good but far too much cheese. I would only go back if someone else was paying. Wait staff was nice and apologetic. Apps are good. Not a fan of the sausage they use on their pizza, gave it a bad after taste. Next time I'm back in Moline, I plan to stop again and try the pizza but without sausage to give a better review. Atmosphere in the bar/ dining area is good. Lots of tvs to catch a game or whatever is on. One area the owners need to invest in is the bathrooms, they are a tad bit shady. Bad Boyz pizza makes decent pizza, and has a novel atmosphere. The problem is the terrible service. Especially during lunch. They have a lunch buffet that is pretty decent, when you can get pizza. Which is rarely. The buffet features a salad bar, a taco bar, and pizza. The taco bar is not very good. The meat is very greasy, and they are missing the trimmings. You are expected to put pizza taco sauce on your taco. The salad bar is acceptable. It is nothing special, but you will get fresh lettuce and a small assortment of toppings. The real problem is the availability of pizza. The last few visits there has always been something going on that has severely limited the supply. Today at lunch with approximately 8 buffet customer waiting for pizza we were told there was a togo oder, and that would be handled first. We were to expect pizza in 15 minutes. Approximately 15 minutes later a single cheese pizza appeared in the buffet and was gone nearly instantly. In addition to the lack of pizza was the lack of wait service. We waited quite some time to both get, and process our bills. Despite the pizza being decent, after today I will not be returning to Bad Boyz. They cannot consistently deliver acceptable service, especially to the lunch buffet service. read more

They forgot to put our ticket in and then kept saying "it was coming" but then after 90 mins when the food came, they brought the wrong order. Went today (Saturday afternoon about 4pm) to the moline location. The cheese bread with marinara was quite good although a bit greasy. Crust was crispy and tasted very good. Really enjoyed the marinara dipping sauce. It was spicy and the right temperature. Ordered a couple beers and they were served cold. We were the only people in there today other than a couple of people sitting at the bar. But it seemed like the waitresses had more important things to do than serve us. My son's soda ran dry a couple times during our stay and it took asking a few times to get a box for our extra pizza. We ordered a pepperoni and sausage pizza which was very typical of the quad cities style like "Wise Guys" or "Harris Pizza". I keep looking for something different here in town. So far I have only found "Antonella's" which will still remain my go-to place. I probably won't be back although it wasn't terrible. read more

I believe the full name is "Bad Boyz Pizza & Pub", so it functions as both a restaurant and bar. I've only been here to drink, so I can't comment on the food. It does have some kind of gangster/criminal theme, with dishes named after various infamous figures of crime and murder. "Manson's Meat Lover" and "Idi Amin's Vegetarian" are a few such offerings. There are prison bars in front of the kitchen area. Ah, bad boys! Now I get it. As far as drinking goes, it's a pretty bland sports bar. It's located almost directly under a bridge to the Arsenal, so there isn't a great deal of aesthetic charm. Gentlemen: the door to the men's room can stick. You might need an elbow or even a shoulder to coax it open. Don't worry, you're not going to walk in on some casual encounter. Or maybe you are. In any case, don't stand outside for five minutes like I did. Bad Boyz gets an extra star for employing a gorgeous barmaid. Popped in here for a quick lunch today on the recommendation of some classmates. For the price, their pizza buffet was perfect for the time we (didn't) have. We found seats, the waitress quickly explained what was included with the buffet (assorted pizza's, a pasta casserole, a soup/salad bar, and taco fixings) and took our drink orders. The pizza I had was pretty darn good. Everyone seemed happy with their buffet items. There is a bar but we weren't able to partake today. Prices are totally reasonable considering what you get. Great spot if you're limited on time for lunch. This would also be a nice spot for an after-work beverage with the gang. read more

Today was my first time eating at bad boyZ. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in and heard my favorite BONE THUGZ song blasting out of the what sounded like an AMAZING sound system. I was greeted first by a cute curly haired gal that goes by the name of Tina. The buffet was just ending, but the party wasn't.
