In small town McGregor Franklin beer works. Stopped in to grab a beer and check out the new place. The place was clean. The staff was friendly and had a nice selection of home brewed beer. I had the pineapple express IPA taste great. I would highly recommend this place if you want to take a small trip from Waco. The price on the beer was reasonable. So the next time you wanna take a small trip out from Waco Texas stop on by this little diamond in Texas.

We have been a few times to this place and it never disappoints. Beer is cold with many choices and food is amazing and is served fast. Service is spot on always making sure you're taken care of! High recommend for date night or just to get out and try something new.

I've had the Chicken Parmesan pasta, the Margherita pizza, and the Pepperoni pizza. Each of them was above average. The Chicken Parmesan came with a nicely breaded and cheese-covered piece of chicken with spaghetti and two pieces of garlic toast. It was good, though it could have used a little more red sauce. Pizzas are available as 20" or 14" pies, and certain ones you can get by the slice. The crust is medium thickness, light, with a soft core and a crispy outside. The Margherita was good but I preferred the Pepperoni. Overall, both pizzas were above average. I especially liked the crispiness of the outside of the crust. They also have salads and wings. Dessert consists of cheesecake or funnel cake fries. I haven't tried any of these yet. There is an inside dining area, a bar area, and an outdoor patio area. The inside is shared with Common Grounds coffee shop and Heritage Creamery ice cream shop, a couple of other local favorites.

That wasnt my biggest concern though. Slow rise has been my favorite pizza spot. I usually go to the one on the brazos but it was my first time at this location, after listening to the loud people talking and supposedly were also working. I was trying to enjoy my favorite pizza and when i look down to get my next bite there is a hair in my pizza. I try to take it off because i do have dogs so i wasn't certain if it came from me. It was a blonde hair and when i tried pulling it out it was under the cheese and intertwined INSIDE the pizza. After that i felt nauseous and i dont think i will be coming back. The service was mediocre to say the least and the hair inside my pizza made me want to vomit. Sad to write this review but even sadder i had to experience this at my all time favorite pizza place.

It was a little busy due to the holiday but we enjoyed the old world like atmosphere bar tavern set up they have. We got a bottle of champagne to have mimosas with our meals. I got the delicious schnitzel Benedict. Loved it but next time I'll ask for the sauce on the side. I would have liked the traditional hollandaise. But it was a good twist. The potatoes were yummy. My husband had the schnitzel waffles. he ate the whole plate. So it's a winner. He said we can come back. So I again look forward to exploring more of the menu and having some beers. I mean pivo. Cheers.

The connected hotel is wonderful (there is a separate Yelp listing to review it). How amazing is it to stay at an operating brewery? The old-world European charm and flavor can be felt throughout. An elevated brewery pub, if you will. The decor definitely lends to that vibe. The food is really good and I dare to compare it to food we've had in Germany. I also love that they do a playful fusions of sorts with Texas & Czech foods. For example, the Czexan Potted Beer Cheese has a combo of sausages, peppers, meats, breads, and a cheese spread made with Czech beer. Perfect appetizer for two people and then some. My boyfriend loves the Texan Pocket Schnitzel. It's fried pork filled with jalapeños, ham, and cheese, served with mashed potatoes. I like the classic, authentic version of this. They do a fine job! I also love the Bavarian pretzel. It comes with a couple of different dipping sauces. Incredible beer pours that pair nicely with any of the meal options. We shared a flight that consisted of four different lagers. They also offer whiskey flights, brandy flights, wine flights, and cocktails. We didn't have dessert but I'm interested in the crème brûlée cheesecake next time 'round. Between staying at the hotel and eating at the restaurant, it was truly an experience that made me feel like we were back in Europe. Gotta hit up the beer spa next time too!

You'll see a buncha wooden tables that gives this place an "off pub" look but still very nice and warm. Friendly staff recommended a few brews for me to try and the pricing was great. Beers tasty, snacks are good, stuff for my toddler to do. I had a good time there. Thanks Nolan Creek Brewery!

You take a flight! Small towns make walking around easy. My family went antiquing, and I waltzed on over to the local brewery. Walking in, it was still early afternoon. There is a massive parking lot for retail outside. The brewery has a patio out front, and ample seating inside. I chatted up a local fella at the bar for a bit. He put me onto the Pioneer Porter, which was very tasty. My favorite was the Creekside Warmer, an 8.3% Winter brew. Very tasty. The ramblers Amber and the Coyotes Call were very good too. The place is very clean, the staff is friendly and chatty. They have events throughout the week, and Mimosas for those so inclined! There is a food menu, but I did not partake in the chewables. Pricing was good too, can't complain. If I find myself out in those parts again, I'd be back!
