The Bakery's raw food was the staple of his diet for many years. I also purchased cbd oil and chew sticks for him from Wendy. The large braided chew sticks were perfect for my shih tzu. They were tough enough to last through several chewing sessions, but soft enough for his small, uneven teeth. Wendy has also gone out of her way for me many times--ordering items upon request, holding onto an item for a week until I could get there to pick it up, providing a sample item at a reduced price, etc. Sadly, my little shih tzu is gone now, but I am bringing my new rescue dog in to see Wendy. This week, I purchased a wonderful, gigantic marrow bone from the Bakery, which my dog loves. I was impressed to learn that Wendy has fresh marrow bones in her freezer. Thank you, Wendy, for helping me take care of my dogs!

I…read moreordered a 10-gallon Zoo Med leopard gecko kit online from this store and it arrived broken. The manager refunded me and I clearly explained, in front of an employee, that I would buy the same kit elsewhere and return to purchase the gecko for my daughter's Christmas gift. That plan was acknowledged. When I returned, the same employee reported to a different manager that my tank was purchased elsewhere and was 10 gallons. Suddenly, they refused to sell me the gecko unless I bought a 20+ gallon tank from their store. This felt like forced upselling, not animal welfare. What makes this worse is the gecko has been kept in the store for at least six months in a 10-gallon enclosure. Another nearby tank of the same size had two geckos. If this setup is unacceptable for customers, why is it acceptable for the store? My daughter cried, I felt humiliated, and I wasted time and money after acting transparently and responsibly. I am a former biologist with animal training and the daughter of a zoologist. Being treated as incapable was offensive and unnecessary. This store showed more concern about selling a tank than placing an animal into a prepared, calm, loving home. Milford deserves better transparency, consistency, and professionalism

We were in the process of researching where…read moreto take her for obedience training when one day I was at the bike shop and noticed The Happy Retriever in the same plaza. I checked out the website and liked what I saw so I emailed them. The lady who responded was very nice and helpful. I stopped in the following Saturday and talked to the owner, turns out it was his wife who had emailed me back. He spent over an hour giving me tips. The next weekend, I stopped back in to pick up some supplies, he gave me a lot of advice and actually talked me out of spending some money at his store. Very honest. A few days later, we brought out puppy in for a free evaluation. They spent over two hour just with us, told us all the packages they offer, pricing and gave us some more advice. Our dog will be starting obedience training there within a couple weeks. The pricing was very reasonable for the classes and they really seem to know what they're doing and care very much about doing a good job. In addition to the obedience training, there's a small store. They only carry products they really believe it that are made in the US. I found the prices to be pretty reasonable for a small store with all high quality products. I will be buying everything I can there and staying away from the big chain pet stores.
