I have been ordering from Franco's for years and I feel as if the last 5 or so years it has gone completely down hill. I have gotten the wrong order almost every single time when I call and place an order. I will ask for chicken bites and I specify that they have heard me and mention how everytime they have gotten it wrong and then I still end up with wings. I am not sure how it happens every single time but is definitely frustrated. The workers all have an attitude and no one ever seems happy when you go in to pick up food. The charge for delivery is outrageous... 7.99? It seems as if delivery is more expensive then a slice of pizza. 20 years ago, I worked somewhere that frequently served us Franco's. I never forgot how delicious their pizza was! However, I never lived nearby so never got it on my own. I decided to order tonight and was looking forward to it. I got a medium cheese pizza (to relive), and a white pizza (to try). I have to be honest and say the cheese pizza was nothing at all like it used to be. I could tell by looking at it as well as taking my bite. It missed the mark for me, and so did the white pizza. So I just got into town from a long drive and wanted a quick bite before going to my Hotel. Mu Uber driver suggested that I find a restaurant before taking me there. Side note everything in Amhurst, or anywhere in the Buffalo area closed at 9 or 10 pm. That is crazy to me! So after a few attempts, I came to Franco Pizza. I was pleasantly surprised I ordered a 12-inch steak sandwich and it was enormous and very, very good. Uhm the lady taking my order was nice and friendly we had a short conversation about football. She is a Bills fan and I'm a Chiefs fan. Need I say more... My only issue was to make that sandwich it took almost 20 minutes. Now I would have understood that if I was one of ten customers ahead of me but I walked in 10 minutes to close and I guess the employees were ready to go. Anyway, the sandwich was really good! 6/11/22 Ordered delivery online. The details said 1-1.5 hours. It came sooner than 1 hour, which was very surprising. We were happy about that! Cheese & Pepperoni Pizza 9/10. dough was cooked fully through and was still fluffy. Slightly messy (as expected), I love the sweeter sauce that they use. When you leave the pizza out overnight, it's still just as good the next morning! The pizza was not cut very evenly though, we got the medium, so 12 slices, but it was cut into a little bit larger slices so it was more like 9 slices and 3 slim child size slices. (That's why my rating is a 9). It was only being shared between 2 people so not an issue for us, but might be an issue for someone who has a few more guests. I posted a photo of the size difference. Garlic Parm Wings 9/10. We ordered extra crispy. They actually were crispy when we got them. Our wing box had a little sticker on it saying they can't guarantee crispiness after the delivery time (photo posted), which I appreciated. There's lots of times I've ordered wings extra crispy from other places and they were just so soggy and not very good. Garlic parm sauce was not bad, it only really stuck to one side of the wing. I also purchased this lunch special on the app after 6pm, which is crazy but golden. 5 stars is needed based on taste, quality, time, etc. Francos will be my go to too when in need of authentic Buffalo pizza. Ordered their heart-shaped pizza last week and it was delicious! We got it as a specialty pizza, "Buffalo Chicken", which was good. The chicken was plain though, but I liked that it was beneath the cheese so it stayed in place. They drizzled really good blue cheese, and hot sauce, over the top. I only saw the option to get the heart-shaped pizza as a large, but it came with a pizza cutter since it doesn't come cut. Super cute though! Would definitely order again! Tip- We also ordered garlic fries, which are normally very good, but this time they arrived luke warm and soggy, so I wouldn't recommend getting fries if ordering delivery. read more

Franco's on englewood is our favorite place to order from. Sadly because of the economic crisis in this country the prices have gone up dramatically but we always return regardless, I mean who needs to pay the electric bill when you can have Franco's for dinner!! (Wink wink) Food is always hot and delicious. My only complaint is the online ordering apparently there's a glitch in the app and you could get a pizza without cheese and just pepperoni and sauce! Like who wants to eat that? lol There are a few employees however that will contact you and ask you if you really didn't want cheese so make sure you check your order one, twice, and thrice!! I took a 10 year hiatus (Graduated college, moved) but now I am back to craving this thick cut, crusty cheese pan pizza! This location is easy to get to (Right behind Whole Foods), parking in front of building. Their pizza always has these perfect crispy edges and plenty of cheese, sweet sauce and toppings. They have a great lunch deals! 1 slice is very filling, you could share if you're trying to be good. The always have several slice options to try at any given time. I personally love the mushroom slices. One evening we got a Medium Pepperoni pizza which was reasonably priced and easily served 3 people. Service is friendly, pizza has been ready within time given. After trying their Chicken Finger Pizza (Buffalo Style), I had to try a regular cheese and pepperoni pizza from Franco's and am happy to say it was very good! I ordered a medium (12" x 12", 12 slices) cheese, regular pepperoni, hot banana pepper, and mushroom for pickup. Again, great customer service experience both on the phone and in the shop itself! I ordered around 5:15pm and was told it would be ready in 30 minutes, and of course it was! The pizza was great: each bite I took had an equal amount of cheese, pepperoni, red sauce, banana peppers, and mushrooms. Their red sauce is one of the sweeter styles I've had in Buffalo, but I liked it. I really appreciated seeing the pepperoni cup and char! It could have used a little bit more cheese, in my opinion, but it was still very good. The banana peppers added some heat to the pizza. The crust was consistent with my previous experience here: cooked all the way with a nice chew and flavor to it. Their crust in my opinion, is a mix between Buffalo and Sicilian, which thankfully I like both. :) I definitely like the outer edge pieces more tough as they have a nice bake and crunch to them. The inside pieces tend to be very messy, so be sure to have a fork and a few napkins close by! As for the portion, it was perfect! I hadn't eaten anything since breakfast and after eating the whole pizza, I was just right. Overall, Franco's is a solid choice here in Buffalo and is pretty reasonably priced. I would not hesitate to come back again for a cheese, pepperoni pizza, or to try a different specialty pizza. read more

I was listening to 103.3 The Edge on morning commute and heard about a little boy who for his birthday got the option of a video game console or to go to Buffalo and get Franco's pizza, and HE PICKED THE PIZZA! I was flabberghasted...then came to find out Franco's sent the young man his video game console and was SOLD! Gotta support these guys and try their pie & wings. If this was called "Francophone's Pizza" then you'd have to call up and ask for "une grande pizza, s'il vous plait" with "fromage et saussicon" perhaps. But it's not. So you don't. But if it was. You would. What to get: a slice. What else: It's really ridiculous that this business has such a low rating. The service at all of the Franco's locations is hit-or-miss, basically, but the product at this one is amazing. They literally have some of the best and Buffalo-y-est slices in WNY, and are so, ridiculously underrated. Try it for yourself. So the full back-story: General Franco, after fleeing Spain, came to Buffalo and opened his own Pizza joint, which much like his Spanish conquistadores, became a serialized chain taking over rival businesses and spreading across the region like a bush fire (but not like Bush, because firstly, the political Bushes are long gone thank goodness, secondly, the band Bush isn't really having hits anymore, and thirdly, that other Bush is becoming more and more scarce these days too, particularly in Brazil, the USA, and, er, Spain. Which brings me back to...) Franco's! What a surprise! I had boycotted the Franco's further down the Boulevard north of the 290 because they kept serving me cold steak tacos that were jellified like cat food inside, and their Pizza was either cold or burned, and so on, it just became a real let down. But little did I know there was an amazing Franco's on Nicole Eggert Rd. The best in town, in fact. If it were Hankey's Pizza, you'd have a cold. Which, in Buffalo, let's be honest... you often do. This place is the total opposite! Excellent service, delicious Chicken Finger subs (yum), maybe not quite as stellar as Avenue's, but definitely worth recommending, and the Pizza, oh my word, this was one of the juiciest fluffiest, most delicious Pizza slices I've had in a long time! The Pizza is right up there with Imperial in terms of tastiness, and right onto my little directory of where to find the best Pizza slices in WNY! You should try it! I've now tried most of the Franco's locations and this one is still my fave. I've been back many, many times. If it were "Danke Schoen Pizza" it'd be in Germany. And how many slices would you order? NEIN! Seriously, it's a pizza slice I keep going back for. It's one of the best ones... very doughy and delicious crust, always served piping hot, the cheese and the pepperoni and sauce are all perfect... it is one of Buffalo's top five for sure! Go and nom it and see for yourself! Oh, and it's a square slice. But the shape is beside the point. The point is, it's amazing. If it were Mankey's Pizza, then you'd be down by Canalside catching Pokemon or something. The Southtowns have some incredible slices (Imperial, Bella maybe even better, Mineo's and more), but in the Northtowns, I'd say Franco's (from this location) is my favourite, just ahead of Good Guys and Mattina's which are all worth a try. And if it were "Spank-O's Pizza" it would mean that you would get a real thrill from being paddled. While eating this pizza. Which has probably already been done, filmed, and sold online through websites that give you viruses, spyware, and malware. Not that I would know anything about any of the things I mentioned in this paragraph. Except Pizza. Buffalo actually has the best Pizza in the world - check my Pizza in WNY list or my Best Pizza In The World list to see all the best Buffalo pizza places, lots of my choices are Buffalo based.
