Unfortunately, The last few days of this store led me here to write a bad review. One of their worker (dark skin, thicker build and tall) confronted me about the hair clip I had in my hair in a nonprofessional way. She asked if the hair clip is mine or theirs. I told her that I bought it yesterday at Del Amo. She never apologized or try to speak to me in a calm manner that she just wanted to do the right thing as an employee. I can tell she lacks professionalism and skills. There's also no proof that I took a hair clip from their hair accessories section. I initially walked inside their store to check out their clothes. I didn't look at their hair accessories until after I left the fitting room, which when she confronted me ! I'm glad I don't have to see her again ! She didn't want to own up to her own flaws nor admit that she didn't approach me properly. read more

This is a cute store that I have purchased many things from but beware if anything goes wrong with your purchase as the customer service is severely lacking. I purchased a chain from here and when it broke less than 2 weeks after purchased I took it in to see if they could do anything. Not only did they not stand by their product but they didn't offer a discount on a replacement or any kind of help - just shut me down immediately. I won't be giving my business to some place that doesn't support its customers when stuff happens. Total bummer. read more

I had the worst experience here on Friday! I always come here because usually they are nice and they have great teacher dresses. I love welcoming and kind employees and I'm always finding something I like . This review is solemnly based on just my customer experience. I walked in and no one said hello, or welcomed me in . That was a bit awkward and unusual. I saw three employees chatting at their register area and I just continued to look for a dress. I found one that I absolutely loved but as I was going to ask for a room, the employee yells at my son for touching something. It was the most awful experience. He's 12! He's not breaking your things and if he did , I would have paid for it ! There's no need to yell at a child that isn't doing anything wrong . I immediately decided a HARD NO on the dress I found and decided to go else where. I will not be returning to this location with such poor customer service . read more

Cutest accessories ever! Might be a little bit overpriced but take advantage of the sale items! This boutique is located inside of Manhattan Village Mall. They have rare, chic and fun designs. This is a definitely stop for me whenever I'm in the mall! It's so much fun and makes you feel like a girly girl! Love this little store...lots of unique and pretty things. I renovated my home office and was looking everywhere for the perfect all clock. Needed something that would pop and have an eclectic appeal. I found exactly what I needed at Francesca's. There are lots of great trinkets and things perfect for gifts. I'm not a shopper and I frequently pass by little shops because I have this feeling I won't find anything I like. I almost passed this shop too, but I gave it a try and there is was, my clock! Totally disappointed to walk up to the door and see it locked. The girl who came to the door said she was on her lunch break. What!!??? What store in the mall closes for lunch? And there's no sign outside stating "lunch hours". I'm literally sitting outside the store now waiting for her to open back up while I write this review. I don't even want to give them my business, but I also don't have time to drive to Del Amo. I am just here to pick up a gift for someone, this is so annoying, unprofessional and inconvenient. I'm giving this location one star because their service SUCKS. I overheard all THREE of the employees working talking crap about a customer. I was the only one in the store and they were talking very loudly with no regard to having a customer in the store. I was barely acknoledged and I'm pretty sure the only reason I was even acknowledged at all is because I made disgusted faces due to their completely rude and obnoxious behavior. I mean, at least wait until you have no customers around to talk crap! Or do it in a whisper, geez. Do yourself a favor, and AVOID this location. Super cute finds. I didn't even realize this place was a chain until I told some people about it and their response was "duh." The cloths seem like they are more and picked and unique than most chains. I bought the cutest boots that zip in the back with a red zipper three years ago before they became trendy. The signs are really cute but I can't imagine actually hanging them in my house. read more

I love this store! It's located in the mall and is such a unique place to shop. They carry all sorts of brands and all their clothes are unique. My sister in law introduced me to this place and luckily while in Charleston, SC I was able to go to Francesca's and then again when visiting family in Hermosa. I bought a cute cream blouse w/ flowers that is adorable..and for only $38. They also have candles, cards, stationary, gifts, etc. Cute place!! read more

Just stopped by this store during my work lunch break and they decided to close the store for lunch. Really? What? The posted note said "Gone for lunch will return in 33 minutes." That's really poor staffing when you have to shut down a retail store so an employee can eat. At least post what time the employee is coming back. I've reported this issue to corporate as I'm sure this is not how they would like a retail business to operate. read more

LOVE this store! My favorite shop in Manhattan Village mall! I never leave this store empty handed! They have the cutest little gifts, clothes, purses, and of course, jewelry! A great place to buy a birthday or Christmas present for friends and family. Some of their clothes and jewelry can be pricey but they always have great sales (buy 1 get 1 50% off or 30% off jewelry or clothing). Love this location. Every employee is super nice and attentive. Usually when I go shopping in a store, I always feel awkward asking the opinions of the employees because it always seems like the just want to make a sale. I had a poor experience with the manager on duty, Tracy or Tracie, not sure how she spells her name. All I wanted to do was exchange a top but I ended up returning it instead because of Tracy or Tracie's rude and abrasive behavior. Tracy or Tracie talked over me the entire time and then snapped at me for asking for the actual store manager's name. I called the store the next day to speak with Samantha, the store manager, but Tracy or Tracie picked up the phone and snapped at me again. At that point I called corporate. Samantha did try to make it right though and informed me that Tracy or Tracie was wrong about the store policy and acknowledging Tracy or Tracie's behavior as completely inappropriate. I don't think I'll stop here again if they keep hiring people who lack social skills like Tracy or Tracie. read more

Stephanie (if I remember correctly) was amazing! I came in last night to find a last minute outfit to wear to a graduation. I had no idea what I wanted to wear so she pulled several different dresses and rompers for me to try on. She listened to my concerns and comments and would pull something else. She was so helpful. Great store, archaic return policy and service. Even with tags on and unworn, without a receipt they have "no way" of finding the transaction and even exchanging item. I had to call my credit card company and ask for a transaction date for their system to process. Even that didn't work and a special exception was made to provide me store credit. Get with it. Even target can look up credit card transactions. There are lots of places to shop. When I don't like an item, it shouldn't be that hard to get something else. read more

Bad service today at the Manhattan Village location. I made a small dollar purchase and was asked if I wanted it in a bag, I said yes and that's when I felt I was disrespected. The women then stated that I really spent a lot today and that I really saved some money. She then asked if it was a gift for someone? I felt I was being talked down to just because I bought something under $5 but unknown to the cashier was that my wife was still shopping in the store. After that series of comments, I pulled my wife out and said we're done here. Just because I don't walk into your store with my suit on, it shouldn't matter how much I spend, I'm still a paying customer and should be fully treated with the up most respect through out the transaction. I am giving them one star because I ordered two picture frames online one arrived broken and the second one had what appeared to be drops of human blood on the outside of the package. I use to LOVE this place- and still love the merchandise but I recently went in and when checking out, I asked for a bag to carry my newly purchased items. The sales lady responded that I would have to pay extra if I wanted a bag because the state forced them to go to paper bags and the company doesn't want to foot the bill for it. Unbelievable! I believe in going green but nickel and diming your customers is just cheap and apalling. Unbelievable. I won't be returning to this store ever again. read more

This place is amazing. It has a boutique feel without a huge hit on your VISA card. If you're looking for funky cardigans and cute dresses this is the place to go. I'm the type of gal that likes shopping at the small shops in Redondo and Hermosa so if you want a combination of all of them them come here. Whenever there is an upcoming shower, dressy get together, or a hot date night this place never lets me down. It can be a little cramped, but take a deep breath, relax, and have some fun. I love this fun store. I first went to Francesca's on a trip to Santa Barbara. One of my girlfriends who was there with me told me it was a chain and she used to go to the one in Manhattan Village back in her LMU days. I love to browse the clothes and jewelry here. I find the prices to be very reasonable for a boutique-style shop in Manhattan Beach. Everything here is very cute - think Anthropologie combined with Urban Outfitters but affordable. read more

Tanisia is awesome! She was a very friendly cashier who cares about her customers. She helped me check out and even asked if any items were gifts, offered gift receipts and also removed the prices from the items for me. She was down-to-earth and made me feel very welcomed and comfortable in the store. Francesca's has cute jewelry, clothes and unique knick-knacks. Super cute stuff and not too expensive either! The clothes are pretty and they have the cutest accessories. I've also found some nice vintage-looking things like notebooks, pill boxes, pens, paintings, etc. There are three of these stores around the South Bay--one at the Manhattan Beach Village Mall, one at the Del Amo mall in Torrance, and a brand new one at the Promenade Mall in Palos Verdes. I use to love this place. I was buying my sister a gift for her 23rd birthday and myself some pants. Their credit card machine wasn't working so the manager was doing it the old school way. She was not very helpful nor nice about it. The other girl was also not very friendly. When they scanned my card they said it got declined when I had plenty of money in my card. I went outside to check and it said it was pending and my amount of balance in my card went down since it did go through. I went back to tell them and they said they would refund me which they did eventually. I did not end up buying what I wanted since I did not want to deal with them. They didn't even give me the discount they were advertising. To top it off I would of liked some type of discount for a future purchase for the inconvenience. I give them a 1 star for rudeness/unfriendliness and not handling business in a professional manner. If I were to recommend a Francesca's it would be the one at Del Amo Mall in Torrance. The girls are very friendly over there and are smily and sweet unlike the Manhattan Beach one. read more
