I cannot imagine why the first review was poor. I read the Google reviews and visited Jim at Frame Computer. WOW. He listened to my concern and immediately tested my computer. Bad monitor and not worth fixing. He explained how temporarily I could hook my laptop up to my SMART TV with a wireless keyboard and HDMI cable, so I could have use of the computer. Then he proceeded to go through the best type of laptop for my needs, the important components, and suggested top models. He spent an entire half hour with me and didn't ask for a thing. Nevertheless I left him with a nice payment for his time and went on my way with a treasure trove of tech info about what to get in a new laptop and malware/security protection. You need to come here. Absolutely 5-stars, hands down. I'm probably going to contract with his business for a few hours of tutoring soon. read more

A friend recommended Jim at Frame PC, telling me he was honest, knowledgeable and reasonably priced. He's been my computer person since 2015. I call him when I get a computer virus and he fixes it virtually, cleans up the mistakes I've made and advised me on a new computer (and transferred the data at his incredibly reasonable hourly fee.) I call him for other computer issues too - he's taught me how to make a mailing list - something I had frustrated myself over and spent hours trying to do on my own. If you live in or near South County and have computer issues, I really recommend that you check Jim out. read more

Jim at Frame PC has been a Godsend. I've been a customer since he opened his doors. He is always there for any questions. His work is exemplary. If the problem is such that "fixing" would cost more than "replacing" he will tell you, rather than soak you. He is a gem. Like finding an honest mechanic, having an honest computer guru is priceless. I have, and will continue, to refer friends, family and colleagues to him. Honest, reasonably priced, fast, thorough, knowledgeable! read more

I was vacationing in the area and had a laptop catastrophe. The guy who runs this place waited for me after closing time to help me get up and running and didn't even charge me extra. Turns out I had a damaged bootloader or something like that and he fixed it in like 20 minutes and I practically had to twist his arm to get him to accept any money. read more

I hesitated when I first went there years ago because it is a small shop. He has saved me numerous times from crashes recovering my data every time. (I don't back up often enough.) He was also helpful when I bought my last computer in making suggestions about what I needed and which were easiest to upgrade or repair. Honest and reasonably priced. read more
