So I dealt mainly with the owner Andre who had recently taken the business over from his father. I basically had no wiggle room whatsoever in a time when COVID has made shipping completely unpredictable. But unfortunately for him this was the last piece of the puzzle in a long drawn out project that I started and my family just needed it done in order to move on with our lives. Steve was awesome to work with…read more He was recommended to me by a family member after I I spent a good twenty minutes furiously complaining about the contractors I had been dealing with. It was impossible to find someone to install hardwoods who had availability, and then the ones who did wouldn't show up for quote appointments! The quotes I did manage to get were from sketchy dudes who gave me outrageous prices. Steve allowed me to give him a description of what I wanted over the phone, I sent him some photos of the space, some photos of what I wanted, gave him the dimensions of the area and he was able to give me an estimate via text. Personally, I'd take breaking out the measuring tape and sending a text over waiting around at home for flakey randos all day. His availability was a couple weeks out, which was much sooner than anyone else I had contacted. He gave me a start date for the project and actually started on that day. (I can't count the amount of times I've been told by these guys "I'm backed up on my last job, its gonna be another few weeks".) Steve communicated well with me through the whole project about what time he'd arrive in the morning, when he expected the job to be complete, etc. He also thoroughly cleaned up after himself before leaving each day. What stood out to me the most- he seemed to actually listen to what I was saying and patiently explained things, rather than dismissing my questions. I felt comfortable with him in my home and my dog loved him. I never felt like I was being talked into things I didn't need or getting scammed on pricing. It was very obvious that he took pride in his work and paid attention to all the little details, rather than rushing through to just get in and get out. I actually look forward to contacting him again for my next project, which is not something I'd be able to say about any contractor I've previously hired.
