Good fast service - the donuts were hot when they came out! We got a dozen. The kids liked the Carnival and Blueberry Hill. The adults liked the simpler flavors like OC Sand and French Toast. I have to say I like Krispy Kreme or DD better as far as the actual donut goes, but the menu at the Prune is fun and good for a special treat. read more

My husband purchased a half dozen doughnuts from the Fractured Prune location in Millville this morning. Took one bite of the banana nut doughnut and pulled a disgusting, dyed red hair out of his mouth. Such a turn-off and so off putting, we immediately stopped eating. The Millville location is very bland, boring, and almost neglected looking/sad inside. I'd say it's a hole in the wall, but a hole in the wall has far more personality than this place. There's nothing inviting, warm, or fun about it, which is disappointing from a brand that has personality. It's never busy and not a place you look forward to going in as the employees are about as engaging as the decor. You wouldn't want to stay and hang out to eat, it's just kind of sad. The one redeeming quality was that the doughnuts are made fresh and are tasty. But, now that we know they are made by people not wearing hairnets and gross dyed hair is an ingredient, they have lost our business. UPDATE: After emailing the owners about the hair and our experience, I received a very courteous and sincere note apologizing for the problem and offering a refund. If this happens, I will be willing to give them another try. A lot can be said for owners that take accountability and provide good customer service. read more

Fractured Prune - This is the hair in my husbands doughnut. Gross. Unacceptable. Unhygienic. - Donuts Near Me - Millville, Delaware

Don't take credit cards but to "help you" they installed an overpriced ATM. Told them that I had a kid with nut allergy and they immediately responded we can't guarantee.. Bla bla bla... I explained that all they needed to do is change gloves which they did.. Employees not very friendly, maybe because it was a holiday and thy were working.. Donuts super overpriced.. Duck Donuts is growing, Fracture prune is going away. read more

The woman behind the counter seriously rolled her eyes at me when I came in with my small child. It was like we were an inconvenience. I'm sorry I wanted to pick up donuts while I was out getting groceries for my vacation. She was beyond rude to us and then when we got home they had messed up the order. How do you mess up 6 donuts? Will be returning to this area for vacation but not to this fractured prune. The staff in general were not friendly at all. There were 3 total. read more

The donuts are awesome as usual but the girl at the register actually left to go count cash with a line out the door. The poor girl dipping donuts had to go find her and tell her to come back. No apologies. No personality. But again the donuts are super. read more

Our first, and only, visit that when we arrived home with our donuts, they were extremely greasy, and all of them were raw in the center. Awful. Between they're strange hours of operation and the raw donuts, will never be going back. read more

Love the donuts but it took 28 minutes for us to get a dozen donuts. We walked in as they opened and they did not seem ready for customers. The first fifteen minutes was just spent watching the employees get the equipment set up. Good product but do not go if you are in a hurry or have kids with you. read more

Tough to beat hot donuts! This one is a little off the beaten path too, so no long lines or waits. Friendly service. A must-try!

Love this place....Should I say my daughter super loves this place. It does get busy during the summer. However, the staff does a good job trying to accommodate the customers. The donuts are very special as in not your average honey dip. You must stop by to understand how they have reinvented the donut! Awesome! read more

At the Fractured Prune your donuts are hand dipped in glazes or toppings of your choice and served warm. Donuts on the menu have names like French Toast (maple glaze and cinnamon sugar) or Chocolate Covered Cherry (cherry glaze and mini chocolate chips). All of the combinations are pretty creative and some are downright strange. The base donut is like a light old fashioned cake type donut, but when you bite into it there's a really satisfying crunch before your teeth sink into the cakey part. When it's warm it melts in your mouth. Yum. I've never had a donut with this combination of solidity and lightness. You can also create your own donut from a list of glazes, toppings and sugars, kind of like creating your own pizza. The Fractured Prune also has a Prunewich, which is an egg sandwich made on a donut, and bagels and different scrambled egg sandwiches (plain, with cheese, with cheese and a meat) plus a few other breakfast dishes. I did NOT try a Prunewich. The shop itself is pretty bare -- only a couple of tables with chairs. The donut machine behind the counter is very big and very metallic -- you can watch your donuts being dipped. read more

Seriously delicious, warm donuts made to order! Quick service. Order a half dozen for $8.99 or individual donuts for $1.99 each. The donuts are really small, but yummy. The peanut butter donut was perfection, if only it had been a little bigger. read more

Not worth the 30 minute wait for a dozen of mediocre, flavorless, and soggy donuts. Kitchen seems to be inefficiently laid out with high-school-aged kids wandering from side to side dipping donuts on one side and walking it over to the other side to put it in the box. Maybe the person in the back dedicated to making breakfast sandwiches can pitch in rather than staring off with nothing to do. read more

Kept hearing about this place and finally decided to try it. WOW is all I can say. From the moment we walked in the door I could tell this place was different. The music was upbeat and awesome and everyone seemed excited. When I ordered the lady at the counter was very helpful in naviaging me thru the selections. I mst say they were the BEST things I had ever had and the service was superior. Cant wait to visit again 5 STARS....... read more

I stopped by the Millville Fractured Prune this morning and ordered a coffee and two donuts. After watching 4 employees shuffle around and make no effort to fill my order I left. I would expect this this location to be closed soon if ownership doesn't get involved. read more

Fractured prune donuts are a family tradition. We go in order our donuts, pick up some quick groceries (if there's a line), and go home to eat them. They only take cash but they have an ATM, and some people complain that there isn't a place to sit, but take them home (the donuts are medium sized and you eat them so fast you don't need a place to sit...). Make sure that if you go there, buy a tshirt. It gets you a free donut every time you wear it in there. read more

I've been going to fractured prune all over ocean city for the last 20 years and I've been to this location twice in the past two days and both days has been a horrible experience. The donuts were cold and not at all hot like they normally are, and the orders have gotten mixed up both times. I asked for a morning buzz and got a chocolate dipped donut with sprinkles-nothing relating to that of a morning buzz. The girls working here don't have a clue of what they're doing! read more

So my family went to get groceries and as we pulled into the parking lot we passed all these people walking out of a shop with donut boxes in their hands. Our intent was to buy something to make back at the condo but we figured this many people coming out of one place, we couldn't go wrong. This place is BOSS!!! You make your own donuts any way you like. The lady (maybe the owner?) was at the register. When she realized we had never been there she took her time to explain not only could we pick from the selection on the menu boards, but we could actually make our donuts to order any way we liked. We got the most popular according to her which is the OC Sand. It was awesome! We also ordered blueberry hill, strawberry shortcake and a personal recommendation from her, which she said tasted just like a girl scout cookie, peppermint and oreo. What an awesome combination. We waited about 8-9 minutes for them to be made and she was kind enough to pass out little fractured prune stickers for my kids. We will definitely come back to this place, awesome food, awesome concept, awesome service. Only downside I guess would be that there isn't one close to me. read more
