    Chicken Alfredo

We had dinner at Foxy's on a Thursday evening, The ambiance is eclectic, cool, and fun. A great desert evening vibe. During the season, it's tough to get a prime reservation hour for dinner. So, reserve your table in advance. The staff here is super friendly and accommodating, even when the restaurant is full. In the front dining room, there is entertainment. Unfortunately, our table was away from front room and along the outer area. I ordered the chicken fettuccine Alfredo. The sauce is creamy with sun dried tomatoes. My dinner with a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon was good. I plan to return here for dinner next season .

Service here was wonderful. I absolutely love the vibe here and the staff is extremely welcoming. They have a great happy hour, some of the best prices in town. They're delicious bread and butter to start was delightful. They have a nice variety of drinks available, and there is plenty of seating in easy parking all around. This restaurant has a great family vibe to it, a place worth returning for because of the hospitality nice option for a late dinner in the area.

Great happy hour, friendly staff. We tried the fried zucchini....yum and the tacos too! It's a bustling little upscale place with valet parking and repeat customers.

All around a 5 ...this place exemplifies a top notch business! It makes you feel appreciated to do business with them...treat their customers with utmost respect with attention to the details...valet at the door with pleasant greeting to hold the door open..welcome staff at the maitre'd desk...servers politely and pleasant! Food and drinks impeccably prepared and served.

Excellent choice! I felt like I stepped into the days of Frank Sinatra. The leather seating, mirrors on the wall and the live entertainment. So classic. Our service was superb . Laura E. made great recommendations. We started with the most tastiest stuffed mushrooms ever. I tried the Osso Buco, wow so much food. That pork melted in my mouth. My guy enjoyed the Mediterranean halibut. Dessert kept the streak going with the carrot cake. Spirited drinks especially Mrs. Foxy's lemon drop. Love this place!

    Yummy fresh pasta

Let's start off with our server, super great guy, but I don't remember his name, I'm sorry. The chicken Parmesan was the best I've had in decades. Very fresh and crispy and practically melted in my mouth. I took more than half of it home. My husband had the chicken fettuccine with mushrooms and sun-dried tomatoes. He ate the entire thing. We were here when it was "Shame on the moon "restaurant.

We were in Rancho Mirage for an event that we were attending Saturday night Prior to driving out for the weekend, we had looked at a couple of different locations to have dinner Saturday night My wife came across Foxy's and said we should try it since it had great reviews on Yelp. And the restaurant did not disappoint! The ambience is incredible (we sat inside in a corner booth with an open shot of the entire restaurant ) We started off with cocktails. I had an old-fashion and my wife had a wine that was suggested by our server, Amelia. Amelia was absolutely fantastic! I had the 12oz ribeye and added a lobster tail, my wife had the salmon with lemon sauce (pictures below). Everything was made perfect! We had the carrot cake as a dessert and it was absolutely incredible! When we mentioned how good it was to Amelia, she told us that it's homemade by her mother who also happens to be the owner of Foxy's. Foxy's Kitchen and Bar will be our spot from here on out whenever we are back in the area. Amelia, thank you again for the great service!

WOW. Dinner at Foxy's Kitchen + Bar was nothing short of phenomenal. I'm beyond grateful I discovered this place, it is hands down one of the top two or three restaurants in the entire valley, no question. The chicken piccata was out-of-this-world amazing, and the clam chowder? Honestly life-changing. Every bite was perfection. The service was outstanding from start to finish, and the owner personally came by to introduce himself--such a warm, genuine person, which made an already incredible night even better. I cannot wait to come back and bring my family because this place deserves to be shared. Foxy's has officially become my new go-to, and I'll be recommending it to everyone I know. Absolute gem.

I am giving foxy's kitchen and overall rating of five stars because the service and the ambience are outstanding. From the moment we arrived the valet gentlemen was so nice and our server, Janice was so sweet and efficient. We loved the beautiful atmosphere. It was so nice of them to let us know that they have happy hour from 4 to 6 in the Dining Room in the summer up until September. We thought that we were just coming to dinner at 5 o'clock but then we got to order our drinks for $11 and an appetizer of fried zucchini for $10 that was excellent. They also served sourdough bread which was probably the best I have had in a long time along with the real butter which is hard to find nowadays. So it's good to know that summer is a real plus price wise if you order drinks and a starter before 6 o'clock. Mom loved her chicken and pasta dish. My husband and I ordered the Pescatori which we only thought was OK. I think that dish could use a little more work on their part. We are definitely coming back and we will try a different entrée next time we loved the flowerless chocolate cake, however, the coconut cream pie did not have much flavor. FYI

After a little bit of research, I discovered this beautiful gem, and I was able to make reservations by calling the restaurant directly. Once we arrived, we were greeted and seated right away. Our waiter Thomas was so incredibly sweet and attentive. We decided to share a crabcake appetizer along with octopus and scallops as our main dish. I've tried mini grilled octopuses before in Southern California and never have. I had one so tender as this one. The octopus was huge and so flavorful. Most importantly it was so tender and not chewy at all. Everything we ordered was fantastic and cooked to perfection.

We discovered…read moreOceana Restaurant on the Greater Palm Springs Restaurant Week website -- the Pulpo Chicharrones caught our eye -- so we decided to check it out. Thank goodness we did. Our group started out with the above mentioned Pulpo Chicharrones. Crispy Octopus bites served with fresh pico de gallo, guacamole, and flour tortilla chips. The octopus had a charred crispy exterior that gave way to a buttery-tender interior. None of the rubbery texture that so often turns people off. For entrees, we selected the Whole Fried Huachinango (Red Snapper), 7 Oceanas (think "Spanish Chioppino"), and Pan Seared Halibut which was the special of the day. The halibut special featured a very generous pan seared filet on a bed of white wine risotto with a sesame seed veloute and asparagus. The 7 Oceanas consisted of perfectly cooked octopus, white fish, clams, mussels, shrimp, salmon, and scallop in a rich broth with tomato, onion, garlic, smoked paprika, oregano, and guajillo peppers. Served with housemade telera bread sticks to sop up the amazing broth. The snapper was deep fried to perfection leaving the skin super crispy and fleah moist and flaky. Drizzled with an adobo sauce and served with grilled sliced lemons, chayote squash and baby potatoes. Our only complaint was the snapper was not true red snapper as advertised, but rather porgy (we think). Red snapper is one of the most substituted fish and very few people in the world could tell them apart. My partner Ernie is a connoisseur, and he can. The dish was still excellent, we just wish it wasn't advertised as Huachinango. This hidden gem delivered fresh seafood, tasty cocktails with a nod to tequila and mezcal drinks crafted by owner Marco Castellanos, and friendly attentive service from Gina.

*Oceana's Breeze in the Desert*…read more The star of the night was the octopus appetizer. Best ever. Seriously. Fresh. Tender. Juicy. Succulent. The Hummus and Demi glaze was Fantastico. And so was our sweet and lovely waitress, Alo. She's attentive, friendly, charming and such a doll. Wifey told her "you're the best waitress we've had in the entire Coachella Valley. And I agree 100%. Wifey's hibiscus margarita was unique, flavorful and refreshing. She forget to tell them "no salt." But it all worked out for the better, because the salt & chili powder spice rim on the glass, kicked it up another notch. I sampled it with a couple sips and totally agree. I'm generally a h2o dude when I eat...and loved the glass water bottle left table-side. More restaurants need to offer this. All our food was outstanding. My Branzino/fish was excellent quality and prepared perfectly. But a little too much sauce for my liking. I prefer Branzino when it's grilled whole with a light sauce. The piccata style was prepared well and the texture too. The sauce was good but a little salty for me -- especially with all the capers, and would prefer a little more lemon flavor. The rice was overly salty and wifey mentioned it to me before I even had my first bite. She had the Bosa Verde and enjoyed it very much. We both happily cleaned our plates. The squash was perfect and paired well with our entrees. Free complementary birthday dessert for wifey was just okay. Though we appreciated the thought and celebratory gesture...it was prepared with way too much gelatin and was like thick tres leche milk jello...and with ice cream too on top -- diary overkill. The carmel sauce was right on the money. Perhaps the preparation is their take on this dessert? Next time, we're going to be all over that Carlata Cake we saw at one of the other tables. The service is top-tier & polished. Couldn't ask for better hospitality. Along with Alo, was Daniel (who I recognized from Salsas) and the bartender Alex, who both happily joined in on the action. Chef Oscar, also made his way to our table to say hello & Happy Birthday. And of course let's not forget the classy & gracious owner, Fernando, who we shared a wonderful conversation with. He's a sharp dressed man, with lots of restaurant and resort history in the Coachella Valley. The restaurant & bar decor is simple yet chic, elegant and cozy. The lighting & room temp was perfecto. And the chairs at our table were extremely comfortable -- which encouraged more enjoyment and lingering. I've read some reviews claiming the restaurant is very loud. We did not experience that. Thankfully. The octopus alone is enough to bring us back for a lite bite at the bar...and more dining experiences to sample more of the menu, for both lunches & dinners. Looking forward to trying their ahi tacos -- served only at lunch. My wife had her choice to dine at any restaurant she wanted for her birthday. Since we both love great fish, we narrowed it down to Oceana and their reputation. Thanks, Oceana...for making just another ordinary Birthday, more special, memorable and extraordinary. {{{Big~High~Five}}} Grandslam We're Fans

I've seen places that supposedly offered it but I get there, it's a whole different concept of it. Well, I may have found one that's worth it. Plus a lot of places do close early on Tuesday's and Wednesday. Also not open those days as they tend to be more mellows. Anyway, we found this place last minute. It's part of a strip mall with a few other Mexican restaurants surrounding it. Once inside, there's a bar to the left right by the door when you walk in. Restaurant is to the right where the main seating area is. There's also a back area but it was utilize for a private party that night. At first we were kind of iffy as there was barely anyone there but since we were here already it was a go. The waitress was quite friendly and very sweet. Throughout the while dining experience, they constantly checked up on us to see how the food was and if we needed anything else. Made sure we were taken cared of and enjoyed our experience. Then comes the menu, quite a lot of dishes that you would typically get at a Mexican restaurant and some that seem to be new. The birria ramen which lately have been seeing at loads of Mexican restaurant. Of course as it was Tuesday, we came for the tacos. Before you walked in, there's a board that says tacos Tuesday, 4 tacos for 10.00. Thats a deal that's worth it. Either chicken, al pastor, chorizo and buche. Of course that was needed. We wasn't quite sure what buche was so opted out from that. Started off with a cold beer as they have draft and price was quite nice. 2 order of the tacos, one with 2 chicken and 2 al pastor while the other was 2 al pastor, 1 chorizo and 1 chicken. When the dish came out, it was well plated. You usually see just the tacos alone but it was plated with slices of cucumber, radish, grilled onions and grilled chili peppers. Quite nice. And of course I had to try their birra ramen. Seems lately that Mexicans restaurant are incorporating that dish to their menu. I'm also on the hunt for the best...lol... This dish too was quite tasty. Pretty decent bowl full of broth and loads of meat. Served with a side of onions and cilantro and lime slices. The color was nice. Had a dish a while back where the color of the broth was pretty light and watery. This place was nice. The tacos were very tasty both the chicken and al pastor which also had slices of pineapple added. Chicken was flavorful and chorizo was goods. Onions and cilantro also added but asked beforehand if we wanted them. Beforehand, three different salsa was brought out, spicy medium and mild. Wow, both the spicy (red) and medium (green) were delicious. The right amount of spicy and perfect for the tacos. Food was delicious both the ramen and tacos. It's with the 10.00 for the four tacos and birria ramen was tasty and delicious. Worth it. Glad that we found this place. And the staff, all very sweet and very friendly. Attentive and made sure that we were well taken care of. Didn't have room for dessert but will definitely be back. We got seated at one of the booth which literally looked a lot to the men's restroom. It was fine but not a thing you want to see while eating.
