After having my son nearly 4 years ago, I had so much hair loss (that's been growing in ever since..) Tanya was able to see the new growth and help plan a cut to help hide and assist those baby hairs to blend in. She has an awesome ability to know what cuts look good based on your face shape. I tend to do more bright colors/highlights and it always come out amazing and beautiful. Tanya is also a great conversationalist, even from the first meet, it's never been uncomfortable or trying. She asked so many questions about what I wanted and we looked at pictures online together to make sure she had a clear understanding of my expectations. Not only do I love how my hair turned out but she also took the time to educate me by providing styling tips, product recommendations, and hair treatments. I was sent to bliss hair studio to see a young lady named hillary that my cousin swears by. I couldn't be happier. Not only was hillary fun and easy to talk to but she gave me exactly what I had envisioned for my hair. I had a blast with her. She provided me with something to drink and even let me hook up my phone to her speakers to listen to my own music. She told me about all sorts of places to go check out that were part of my "scene ", and I looked killer hitting the town thanks to her. My only complaint would be that hillary and bliss are way out in Colorado. I would love to be able to give her free reign on my head and color me differently every month. It started out well, I explained what I wanted and showed photos. She was kind, had lots to tell me about her life story, kids, in-laws and whatever else came to mind. The treatment for the hair consult as well as anything to do with touching my hair was where it got rough. She pulled my hair, whapped my in the head with brushes, the hair dryer and curling iron. The shampoo process was so painful with all the hair pulling and her whacking my head. My neck was sore for 2 days after the appointment from where she dug her fingers into me. She started cussing while telling me her stories. It was really kinda frightening and the first time I ever thought about ending a hair appointment early and walking out. When all was said and done, the bronde balyage we agreed on was mostly brown with red highlights. I wanted to cry. That is 2 hours and change and over $300 that I'll never get back.

I have now lost half of my length that I spent 10 years growing out and I am beyond devastated. This same hairdresser now claims that this is in fact what I asked for and that she actually tried to tell me not to go shorter. Absolutely disgusting service. Upon calling for a refund, I was treated rudely, told that I was lucky that my reference picture was not followed and that the way my hair was cut was in fact what I asked for. I was even told that the way it was cut was a "conservative" decision. My hair should have been cut HOW I ASKED NOT WHAT YOU THOUGHT WAS IN MY "BEST INTEREST". I was offered half a refund if I took my reviews down. Alongside this, my before photos all apparently aren't accurate by their standards and the difference between before and after is in fact 2 inches..I would rather everyone know how bad of an experience I had than get my money back. I went in and got a hair cut and dye with Sara Jo, and my daughter got highlights and a cut from Destiny. I was happy with my hair and felt the price was reasonable, as was my daughter's. I am taking one star off because Destiny made a mistake on my daughter's hair blonding, so we had to stay another hour for her to fix it. Other than that, I love that in addition to the great results and customer service, they make sure you are well cared for with drinks, snacks, and stickers.
