This salon is efficiently run! I have my favorite technician, Becky, every time I go so I definitely recommend her at this location. It's my go to for my nails ever since I moved to the area in 2021. Check them out and see if you get your go to technician then decide if this would be your nail salon. They offer you water, soda, and even wine while you wait! HORRIBLE AND I MEAN HORRIBLE SERVICE! If you're looking to be sufficiently pampered this is NOT the place for you. Staff is overwhelmed and the service is underwhelming. I could've spent my dollar somewhere pleasent and up to code with their daily sanitation practices. Upon arrival I was rushed to choose a polish they then sat me down at a pedicure bowl (which wasn't clean). I sat at that bowl for an hour and twenty-five minutes. The water was cold for the duration of that time and no one checked to see how I was doing. Once the pedicurist finally decided to service me (after letting three walk-ins go before me) he didn't greet me. Instead he abruptly grabbed my foot and began nipping away at my cuticles, which hurt like crazy! He clipped and buffed into the sidewalls of my toenail then yanked the skin that was still connected to my toe--OUCH! Why am I (a paying customer) being handled this way? **Sidenote: It's probably a good idea to ask if someone's diabetic before going all Edward Scissorhand on their toes. I payed for a deluxe pedicure but rather received a couple strokes with a pumice stone, cuticle wounds, lotion, and a bad polish. There's gel polish under my nail and on my skin. The polish is uneven and streaky. As I left he didn't say "thank you" or "come again." Quite frankly, they treated me with little to no professionalism. Very rude, very dismissive, very much so a waste of time and money. The gentleman who did my nails acted like it was an inconvenience to him. I won't lie, I did ask for something that took a little more time, however, I was paying him for this extra service and time. He didn't even fully finish my shellac manicure. I have gotten one every other week for over a year now. At every other location they have filed my nails afterwards and whipped it with acetone. I don't even know where to begin... I walked in and asked if they take walk ins. They said yes but to come back in 15-20 min. I come back 25 min later and I was told to wait a little longer and to pick my color while I waited. I spent a few minutes picking my color and was told to go place my feet in the water. I was sitting with my feet in the water for exactly 44 minutes before they came to work on my feet. My water got cold twice and they just refilled it instead of starting on my feet. The lady who did my feet was very thorough getting the callouses off my right foot but not my left. They all do an absolutely poor job. They purposely don't have prices listed anywhere so that they can charge people higher prices. When asked for an estimate, they make up numbers at the top of their heads and then change it to be more expensive than they told you when you go to pay. It's SO expensive too. Paid $140 just for a full set and their "deluxe" pedicure. Feet should never cost $70 that's nearly double what I paid when I last went to this location and $70 is also what my full set cost. It was extremely sloppy they didn't even take off my hang nails on my hands or the extra skin growth around my nails before applying the acrylic tips crookedly. My nails were extremely rushed. The lady called someone to tell them she'd be picking them up in 30 min. Sorry but my full set shouldn't be rushed in under half hour because you have to leave. Don't accept another client if you have to leave and don't have sufficient time to take care of them because nice nails takes time. Their "deluxe" pedicure is literally only hot towels left with a bag on your feet. No hot wax or hot oil. My shellac has bumps all over the place and my pinky toe nail was cut to the point it's non existent when I told her it was already short in advance so she didn't cut it. They don't listen to you and I should've have paid $140 for feet and a full set. Never again. Stay away! You've all been warned. read more

So a friend of mine and I decided to try this place out. We made an appointment for 2 fills and 2 pedis. We get in and we have to do the fill one by one even though we had an appointment to have two done at the same time. Worst nail salon I've been to. I did a regular mani and pedi. The pedi was overpriced it didn't include callus removal, a drink, or a foot dryer to dry your pedicure while doing the mani. Most nail salons offer all of those for cheaper. I asked my nail lady to redo my manicure and change the color because it was patchy and streaky. She even complained about having to redo it and said she will only change it once because she's busy. Even the second time she did it looked streaky and awful. I can do a better job at home and have better colors. They don't have a lot of nail colors to choose from and a lot of them are old so it makes your manicure look patchy and streaky. read more

Some of the salons that I go to in Hawthorne and NW23rd area offer great beverages like wines and mimos ( the cost for service is the same ) and you really feel pampered. However, they don't really offer you anything here, they have mini fridge with water and can soda that you are to supposedly help your self with. Also, the technicians are very rough when they file away nail bed for the acrylic ( I wish they would ask us if we are doing okay from time again). I really want to love this place because they are great at doing nails but the service is so mediocre that it takes all the fun out of this " pamper session". I really want to like this place and have given it several tries since I often come to the Clackamas Town Center to shop, but all three times I've come here, I have left very disappointed. Here are a few reasons why I won't be coming back: 1) It's overpriced. You can go to any nearby nail salon and get a manicure and pedicure for at least $10 cheaper. I'm not sure if the prices here are more because it's in the mall or what, but the higher prices do not equate to higher quality. 2) Beware of the "cash discount" if you don't come with cash on hand. They told me they would charge me $3 more if I was paying with a card, so I went out wandering the crowded mall in those foam flip-flops they give you (for $2 extra, whereas most other places offer the one-use flip-flops for free) after my mani/pedi, only to discover upon finally finding the ATM that there was a $4.50 ATM charge, rendering the "cash discount" moot for me. 3) The service here is not good. Employees are often yelling at one another, and they shift you around between people frequently throughout your appointment. They're also very aggressive on your nails and don't listen to what you want (I said I wanted a base coat to make a color pop, for instance, and she insisted I didn't need one, but the finished product now looks lackluster without the stronger base color). Additionally, they try hard to upsell everything, which never makes for a comfortable, relaxing experience. 4) They're quite slow and don't adhere to appointment times. I made an appointment for 11:00, but when I arrived at 10:55, I had to wait 25 minutes to even get started. By the time I left post mani/pedi, I had been there for over 2.5 hours, much of that time waiting around (there was a mysterious 15-minute break between my pedicure and my manicure?). 5) NEVER get waxed here. I got an eyebrow and lip wax last time I was here, and though I do have somewhat sensitive skin, the reaction I had to whatever wax / post-wax lotion they used was horrid. I had tiny white bumps on my eyebrows and upper lip for a week and I still have scars from when they finally healed. I've never had a reaction like this before, and think it's because they use the same wax / applicator for everyone and it wasn't cleaned properly. Gross. Though this place does a decent job on your nails, it just isn't worth the time and money; I recommend going to any other number of nearby places to get the exact same services for less money and with more attentive staff. My favorite person to go to is Hannah. She does not do fake nails, but are the best at pedicures and manicures. She takes her time, gets all your cuticles and ingrown if you have it. I came into this nail salon to get a gel manicure and I'm very pleased. I've been trying to make my natural nails stronger and squarer rather than round, and the woman doing my nails did exactly that! In the end, it cost $26 which isn't that bad for nails done this well. They were one of the few Places that opened during phase 1 of reopening and understandably pretty busy. They accommodated to me getting a manicure with my pedicure even tho i made an appointment for just a pedi :D. Howeverrrrrr, i felt like they were rushing me the whole time. The lady did my nails so quick and careless, she dropped the filer a couple times, had some painful punches during the cuticle removal part, and for a lot of paint on my skin. I decided to get a manicure as well when I took my daughter here and have decided we will not be going back here after the experience we had. My daughter got a completely different colour than what she picked and the lady who did her nail was constantly fixing the colours she put on her nails as she could not get it right. And she was rude with us when I told her that her nails were supposed to be gold and purple but you gave her a solid pink. I was in Clackamas so I decided to try someplace new, I usually get some snazzy designs and I chose something more simpler for a new location. I go here because they said they could take me in as a walk in! Yay! I showed the woman the photo I wanted to get and she said she could do it with full confidence. I've gone to a few nail places and the nail techs either talk to the customer or just concentrate on doing the nails. The whole time my nail tech didn't say anything to me and spoke to her friend next to her. Once she started doing the design she asked if I was sure if I didn't just want like a butterfly. I said nah, the one I wanted is what I wanted. Then I could tell she was not confident and I asked if she wanted to see the photo again. She said no and then proceeded to do something a little different. I was fine with it at first cause whatever if it's not checkered it still looks like a cool Tetris pixel-like design. Then she did the other hand it made a completely different one for that one as well: I rolled with it, paid and tipped well. A little disappointed I didn't get what I came for, but learned to love what I got. Then later that week I noticed how uneven the lines were and the thickness of them, so my nail didn't feel smooth at all. And in only 2 weeks they started chipping. I got my nails done here yesterday. This is hands down one of the worst sets I've ever had done, and I paid $45. They charged me extra for "longer nails" when I asked for much longer, and a narrower point. It also appears that they've been on my nails for a week or more...when I took this photo hours after getting them done. When I went in today they refused a refund, only to "fix" it, when to fix it they'd need to do a whole new set for the length and shape. When I said I didn't want to go back and have them fix them (my friend's set was also not done well) they refused to give me money back and rolled their eyes at me. WORST SET I HAVE EVVVVVER HAD. Got these done about a week ago... as you can see in the first picture the acrylic has cracked away, and it's pretty much done that on EVERY nail. The second picture is my right thumb which BROKE OFF NOT EVEN 24 HOURS AFTER GETTING THIS SET. Had to go to a different salon to get it fixed as I was leaving on a flight the next day. I went to get a pedicure yesterday to treat myself. With 2 young kids it's extremely hard to find the time to go out for myself, so I was very upset with how I was treated in the short time I had to enjoy some alone time. An older woman did my pedicure and all she wanted to do was comment at how dry my feet were over and over again. Pointing at the foot scraper thing saying "look! Look! It's so dry!" I'm well aware how dry my feet were, I can't even remember the last time I took the time get a pedicure, and that's the whole point of why I was there and paying them my money. I even said to her at one point "yes I know, that's why I'm here" hoping she would stop but she didn't. She also kept placing things on top of the towel next to my feet that fell into the water when I switched feet. She rolled her eyes at me annoyed even though it was her fault for putting the items there and I apologized even though it really wasn't my fault but she just looked pissed at me. She accidentally jabbed the clippers into one of toes as well, I don't think she even noticed but a day later it's still hurting. She gave me a punch card on my way out that I immediately threw in the trash because I won't be returning. I will say that it looked like a lot of the other employees were very nice and chatting happily with their customers. But unfortunately due to the rudeness of the older woman that worked on me I just cannot ever give them my business again. read more

Had shellac on my toes and the lady used a grinder to take it off and then went and got super glue... was a little confused on what was going on. I had shellac put back on my toes and it looked ok. when I was was done I just put my boots back on and checked them out later when I got home. Well come to find out she took off my toenail and glued it back on. Then on my other foot my big toenail is split all the way up to the nail bed. This used to be my go-to place for a pedi until my experiance today. I went in for a full set ($25 and up their flyer and website say). The girl who did my nails was not very friendly, and my real issue was a comment she made about another customer's ethnic background that was highly inappropriate. The customer being talked about also heard this, along with just about everyone else. She was clearly uncomfortable from then on, and I felt terrible someone would be subjected to that in 2011. My basic full set (pink/white) with no extra glitter, etc came out to $41.00 before tip. So much for paying $25, and they are probably the worst quality work I've ever had done. Very uneven. Snooty attitude right when you walk in but friendly if you get the right person. I needed to get my nails done for a special occasion. It was close to JC Penny's so we parked in their lot. I did a walk in. The nail shop was clean. They had many customers on a Friday afternoon. The gal that was greeting at the counter wasn't friendly. She had me sign in on a document and when I asked her how long it would take she gave me an irritated look and told me it would be about an hour. I would have walked away but since I was from out of town and running short on time I didn't have any other choice. Maybe she was having a bad day.
