Been a loyal customer at Max Nails for the past three years but after today's service, I am never coming back. Made an appointment for a pedicure and Emmy was my technician. I opted for the Class Pedicure for $40 but was charged an extra $15 for shellac (did not realize she was doing this until we were at checkout and I was shocked by my total price), an add on that I did not requested for but Emmy decided on her own to do this. During the pedicure, Emmy barely cut my cuticles, scrub the dead skin off my feet, and the massage was lackluster. At the end of the pedicure service, I asked her if it was possible to just have my nails cut and clean which is usually around $20 at other nails salon that I went to in the past. During the cleaning of my nails, I had to ask her to file my nails (she was leaving them sharp) and rounded it. She barely cut my cuticles. It was like she was making the movement but wasn't cutting anything. My hands look like I had cut them at home (see photos). But she charged me $29 for this service!! I asked her is that your typical price for cleaning nails and she said its the same price if I was to do regular polish! If I knew it was the same price I would've gotten it painted regularly. I told her I did not know that since I usually get shellac for my nails since they peel faster when you do regular and she didn't even offer to paint them and just gave me a smile. My total was $84, and I ONLY GOT MY FEET PAINTED. I felt swindled because Emmy was not communicative on pricing nor services. She never asked me if I want regular or gel/shellac and never offer to paint my nails even though its the same price. Usually the service and techs here are very honest and sweet but today's appointment made me very disappointed and I will not be returning. TDLR: Do not have Emmy as your tech, her service is lackluster but you will pay premium prices. Ask for prices and communicate what you want so they can't add on and charge you for things you did not ask for!!! PS: This isn't about prices since I just took my sisters and mom here in June and spent over $500. This is about low quality of service and swindling customers by adding things on without them requesting for it!! read more

Or somewhere where you feel like you can walk out knowing you're paying for quality service? Well I have found that place y'all? My nail tech Louis fucking ate!! They look so amazing I'm obsessed! It is so hard these days to find an amazing nail tech who pays attention to detail and does everything you ask for! He did not disappoint and it looks amazing! He such a nice guy too! With amazing conversational skills. I felt so comfortable!! From the second I walked in to the second I walked out was such an amazing experience! And the prices are quite reasonable for the quality of work! I have definitely paid more elsewhere leaving disappointed. I love it here!! Definitely will be back and won't be going anywhere else! I have been here once before & previously had a good experience but I went yesterday for Shellac mani/pedi and my services were completely rushed. In less than 4 hours my gel manicure began peeling off due to the Tech not allowing the gel to cure under the light for the appropriate amount of time. I would not recommend Kaidan for any services due to the rushed treatment & poor quality work. I have had good experiences with Louis or Nancy who really take their time and do a great job. I'd recommend making an appointment with them rather than risking poor service. read more

I went here and got a mani/pedi. My manicure came out nice and they fixed a nail that was cracked to it match my other nails in length. However, my pedicure was rushed and not relaxing at all. I had shellac on my toes so they had to use the drill and the guy cut me with it on one of my toes, and since the appointment I've dealt with many ingrown toe nails. I've never had issues with ingrown toes nails since coming to this place.. read more

I have been new to the area for about 6-7 months and have been struggling to find a new nail salon for my pedicure needs. My co worker recommended me to this salon and she's been here recently at the establishment for about 3 visits. I walked in a Saturday morning, I was greeted by the gentleman at the receptionist area and he was very polite and I let him know I am a walk in and wanted to be seen for a pedicure service. He had me register my information into their system while I waited (only waited barely a minute), he ran over to one of the stations for pedicures and started running the water for where I would be sitting. He greeted me over to the chair and checked to make sure the water was at the temperature desired. Let me settle into my chair and then brought me over 3 books for the gel polishes for review. Color selection is great! I was then greeted by Lisa, she greeted me with a friendly smile and welcoming attitude and chatted with me for a few minutes about my service and small talk. Let me tell you, that was the BEST foot massage and pedicure I've had ever!! She was thorough the whole way throughout my appointment and her hands are magic! I was so relaxed! It was my first time getting a pedicure in over a year (due to losing both my big toe nails due to an shoe injury) and wanted to recover before going back into a salon for a pedicure. My experience was wonderful and was so great from beginning to end! The shop was clean, organized, and very eye appealing style! I made sure to get Lisa's name before I left so I can make sure next time I book an appointment, it will be with her! I am so thrilled to have a place be recommended to me and experienced it with such grace! The prices are pretty standard/reasonable compared to other salons I've priced. I got the deluxe pedicure with a gel polish and my feet have never felt better! I will be continuing my services here!! Thank you Max nails for making my visit so nice! Well .. I've gone here alot and i dont really like them. They cut me and didnt even say sorry. Just laughed. I had alot time spent there on my nails .. They didnt even put my name fully on my nail. I ask them to do designs that a nail artist should be able to do and they told me "Cant do that .. I dont know". My nails are really lumpy and uneven. I really don't recommend here!! I took my daughter here, for a full set, and I got a Deluxe pedicure from Alice. She was so rough, I can't tell you how many times I winced. She globbed on the polish, applied the Top Coat too quickly, which wiped off the nail polish... and she was going to leave it like that! I had to ask her to fix it on a couple nails. She cared so little, and my cuticles were such a mess from globbed on polish (you could see the polish sliding off), I went home and repainted them myself. My daughter's nails were so rough all around the tips, there was no finish work or buffing of the edges. She had dried glue all over the underside of her nails, and her polish was cracking from the top coat being applied too soon. Her technician was, Anne, I believe, she uses the second station. We spent $75 including tips, but we will never be back.Ever. read more

Michelle is amazing. Went in today for a fill, because my regular salon was swamped. She was kind, and talkative with both my son and I. She did an amazing job on my nails. When I left, my right thumb nail wasn't quite dry enough and we went back in and she fixed it with absolutely no hesitation. Definitely will be returning!! read more

I am surprised by all of the negative reviews on here! All of the nail technicians here have always done a wonderful job on my nails but I think Mimi is my favorite! Service is very slow so there is normally a wait but it is slow because they take the time to do a quality job! I only give four stars because sometimes prices can be inconsistent. Overall, I love this place!! I get asked pretty much daily where I get my nails done because people are always impressed by the work they do. read more

Most unfriendly group of women ever. Alice is the worst. She was so harsh on me and when I said "ouch" from her cutting underneath my nails she didn't say sorry and continued to be so hard on my nails. They give you a different price every time you go. When I went for a fill, the board said 15, and she charged me 18. When I asked why she said "we changed our prices a while ago". They sit and eat and gossip is Chinese or whatever. Let me start off by saying this USED to be one of my favorite two salons for nails and pedicures in the area. I recently started getting my nails done again, thus frequenting the salon at least bi-monthly and quickly noticed it's gone way downhill! The pedicures are okay, sometimes rushed and unsatisfying. I have been happy with some of my nail jobs and VERY unhappy with others. The worst part if this place is the customer service! They constantly try to up sale, even when you decline they go on and on. Its uncomfortable. The wait can be so long, even if you make an appointment, the prices are inconsistent too. Tonight when I was there the cashier had to nerve to ask for a cash tip. I politely told her I didnt have cash on me, and she proceeded to whine and tell me they prefer cash tips because then they "don't have to pay taxes". Ummm??? I have to pay tax on the money I earn and so do you. I just couldn't believe she could be so rude. Do you want my tip or not? Not going back! read more
