1. This apartment is a joke and I do not recommend living here. They seem great when you first move in then all the problems and issues become apparent. Every time you talk to Maria about any issue our concern, she always contradicts what she said before and claims she didn't say things she said. They don't return your calls or messages sent to their portal. You don't receive requested call-backs on issues if you leave a voicemail and messages to the portal are ignored. To speak to or get ahold of the property manager, Lena, is like pulling teeth. Good Luck! For the price of a well maintained apartment, you, too, can be ignored! 2. They are incompetent when it comes to maintenance issues. I have submitted many requests, and nothing gets done in a timely manner, if at all. I have submitted multiple maintenance requests and I have had to follow up for at least 2 weeks to a month. When you try to address maintenance issues with the office staff, they can't pull up the maintenance request submitted, and you're constantly having to resubmit things. A lot of my requests submitted are "closed" without the maintenance staff ever coming out to fix issues. When you ask office staff to pull up the outstanding request, they always seem mystified about what request you may have submitted. When maintenance actually does show up, they seem unable to handle a request that lists more than one very specific item; they pick and choose what items they want to fix and tell the office they fixed everything on the request when they didn't. If you call the afterhours maintenance on maintenance emergencies they are typically ignored. Lena, the property manager, has admitted that she gets "so many" of them she just stops looking at her phone or turns her phone off. It is very concerning that an apartment complex has so many maintenance issues that they become annoying to the manager who then simply decides the best course of action is to just pretend they aren't happening. If you don't mind a lack of safety, love high energy bills, and are up to date on your tetanus shots, you might enjoy these apartments. 3. They have raised their prices because, per Lena, the apartments surrounding them have raised their prices and they have to "keep with the market." The surrounding apartments are new or renovated and are maintained very well, which would justify an increase. Almost every porch here has missing side railing or rotting wood, which is a safety concern for residents especially on the second floor; the doors and door frames are falling apart, which creates openings for pests, causes energy inefficiency and increases the cost of heating and cooling for residents significantly; and creates may cause security concerns as unsecure doors allow for easy break-ins. Almost every sink and/or tub has rust. Our metal tub has rusted and was ignored for so long it has deteriorated to the point that sharp edges have developed around holes, and there are voids clear through the body of the tub, creating a safety hazard, a risk of tetanus, and yet another avenue for bugs to enter units from inside the walls out through your tub. The water coming out of the faucets are cloudy. The windows over the tubs have black mold. Cabinets, drawers, and shelfs are falling apart or are temporally rigged but never fixed or replaced. The flooring is not level in many spots and has scratches and dents all over. A lot of the electrical outlets don't work or are not functioning in a safe manner. The sliding closet doors regularly fall off the railing. All windows need to be replaced and have a white cloudy film that never comes off. A lot of the walls have dents and scratches. The ceiling has water stains. Fire/smoke alarms malfunction and go off without detecting smoke and despite newly replaced batteries, which causes me concern that there is a wiring issue that has gone unaddressed. If you'd like to live under a slum lord that insists they have to charge you more because "other apartments are doing it" then you'll love it here. 4. If you are a person with a disability or are in a wheelchair this is not the place for you. If you have family members or guest with disabilities that come to visit this is not a place for them. None of the common areas have handicap accessibility, especially for a wheelchair. There are no handicap accessible parking spots besides one by the apartment office and that spot is not even near the front office, it is at the end of the parking lot, causing someone with mobility issues to have to travel an unreasonable distance to get to the office. When you ask for reasonable accommodations, or modifications to meet basic accessibility, the apartment office becomes aloof and hard to deal with, or they retaliate and raises your rent. There has been work done on the to the property and its parking lot since 1999 but they have refused to meet ADA guidelines despite being required to do so when undergoing upgrades/renovations. Being the first and only review I will try to make this as unbiased as possible. This was my first renting experience and it taught me a lot about what to look for in an apartment complex. The Good: -The floor plan is nice. I had the two bedroom one bath and it came with a nice carpet/hardwood combination. The kitchen is kind of small but that wasn't a bad thing for me. It left a lot of room in the main living area, and fair bedroom space. -The price is unbeatable for the area. They recently raised their rates, but even so its pretty cheap for a two bedroom. I think it is still under 900. -If you submit a complaint to maintenance, especially if it is after your initial walk through, they will come and fix any major issues. I did not have any trouble getting things fixed or replaced. -The place is child friendly. Didn't impact me but there is no shortage of children at this place. If you have kids they will likely have friends to play with. Most of the time the kids were fine, they like to play in the street a little much but it isn't so bad. The Bad: -Roaches. Lots of tiny roaches. Not only do they have a ton of roaches (that they treat for before you move in) but even after I used my own bug bombs and traps the problem persisted. This is the one issue that management never resolved and even had the nerve to suggest wasn't real despite photo evidence. I started bringing the bigger ones in for them to see. -There are few amenities to make this place worth wild. They have one poorly maintained playground, and a small pool. That's it. While on the subjects of things being poorly maintained, the roads in the parking lot are filled with pot holes that will scrape up your car. Might want to be cautious of that. -Vandalism is a serious issue. I had my tires sliced on two separate occasions. I don't even know any of my neighbors so its not like I could have angered someone. Its just senseless and evident in a lot of places. -Money order only. Yeah, that is annoying. This complex should seriously consider accepting other forms of payment. It got old having to pay for a money order every time I wanted to pay my rent. -The office staff are a solid mix of awesome and rude. Stacey was the staff I chose to communicate with whenever possible. She cares about the tenants, learns about them and works to make their time a little better. The other woman, the manager, is intolerable. She is just rude and unfortunately makes most of the decisions for the entire complex. She does the walk throughs and handles the bigger complaints. And by handles I mean ignores. All in all Foxfire is an acceptable living space if you are on a fixed lower income. It isn't terrible, it just isn't very good. If you have a couple hundred extra a month, find a different place. If not you could still do worse than Foxfire. read more

The apartment is really dirty and the bugs are all over the place.Think twince before you want to move in.When I moved in almost a years ago,we did report how dirty is it but no one come and clean it.And we didn't kno what to do because we moved here from other state and we did lease it online so we have no choice that why we have to stay.Till now We bought the house so we are breaking the lease.Me and my father in law went to the office to talk to the manager so I asked her what should we do since we want to break the lease.And she said you just need to move out and cleaning your apartment then let she know so we can do the walk through.So we cleaned the apartment and my husband made appointment with her to do the walk through like 3 days before.And before the appointment he called her at 3:30 to confirm it was at 4:30 and she didnt show up till 5:08 my husband have to called her again and finally she show up and said she can't do the walk through because we paid till 31th. She argued with my husband that she didn't told me she will do the walk through.So why did she made appointment with us and wasting my and my husband time.We have to work and really busy with my kids.I don't understand why she did it.Anyway we are breaking the lease so she suppose to do the walk through but she didn't want to and she said that we have to responsibility for our apartment... it doesn't make sense and helpful.The manager is extremely rude and have non responsibilities in what she said...i think this place need to change the manager to make it better read more

Decided to renew my lease at Foxfire complex due to a few factors. The main one was rent rates it cannot be found anywhere in this area. The atmosphere around the complex is better than excepted, I feel safe and very little noise at night. Maintenance issues are also resolve at a very timely manner. read more

I have been here for over a year now and love it here. I have decided to renew for another year due to Alma the manager, she works very hard to make sure everything is taken care of and is very courteous with a smile on her face every time I go into the office. Not only is she courteous to me but to any resident and to anybody that walks in. I moved from out of state and did not even view the apartment before I signed the paperwork but Alma was on top of everything and very reassuring. read more

We are New residents here and We love it so far. Management is awesome and very responsive. Alma always have a smile for us. Apartment complex is quiet and save! Our neighbors are nice and we have a pool to have fun with the kids. Reasonable leasing prices. We'rw planning to stay here until we are ready to buy our own house. :) read more

Worst apartments i've ever lived at. Since we've moved in there have been two separate robberies, a peeping tom and tonight someone was scouting out my apartment to be robbed. we have been watched and our time schedules have been memories by someone, we are one the backside with no lights and no one beside or behind us to see anything. our porch light went out last week and our downstairs neighbor (who had a note on the door about having a gun and willing to use it) has moved out in the past week as well. this is a very serious issue, cops are always here and it is extremely unsafe. maintenance is horrible, kids running around everywhere (in front of your moving car) and people blasting music every weekend until 1/2am.. seriously 0 stars. read more

I would rate negative stars but sadly I cant. I've lived here with my family for about 2 years and I have to say it was hands down the WORST experience I've ever had. I've stayed extended periods in hotel rooms that were better quality. Roaches infested a lot of the kitchen and bathrooms in which management only sprayed one time, even after having been complained to about it, noisy, and I mean NOISY downstairs neighbors playing LOUD music and the wee hours of the morning in which we called management COUNTLESS (not even exaggerating) times only for them to ultimately do absolutely nothing about the problem, and to top it all of, they are manipulative liars. We had given our 2 month notice and were coming up on our last week and found a beautiful house to rent. We were in good standing, everything looked good and they were drawing up the lease for us, only wanting to call the apartment management to verify a few things. Imagine our surprise when we got a phone call saying we were declined the house and they backed out because the management LIED TO THE HOME OWNERS saying that we were late 14 times and bounced 6 checks. First off, we were only late 1 or 2 times but always paying the late fee and no more than 1-2 days after it was due, and we ALWAYS, ALWAYYYSSSS payed with a cashier's check in which we had to have the funds in the first place to even get the check printed, which we always did, and it was taken out of our bank funds when the check was created by the bank. They gave false information and lied in a manipulative and deceitful manner to make us look like horrible tenants when we are very very much the opposite.
