We have been taking our cars to them for over 5 years and never had an issue with the work. Always up front about the cost and honest. I had a bad thermostat put in they didn't hesitate to replace it. Although the price is a little bit higher than other local shops, I say, "You get what you pay for." I had a check engine light that I need cleared to pass inspection but my estimate didn't address how to pass inspection, they just estimated how much to replace those parts. We are new to Delaware and needed an automotive repair provider for routine maintenance. In perusing coupon ads that were received in the mail, I opted to try Fox Run Auto. (FRA) Good decision. My 2013 Honda Accord had just been to another local 'brand' name provider for a wheel alignment. When driving the car home over 60 mph, I experienced a bad 'shimmy.' Instead of returning to the other provider, I took the Accord to FRA. (That coupon worked!) Without hesitation, their immediate response was (after telling them the situation of course) 'we'll get it in and take a look at it now.' How refreshing. Did I mention that it was my wife's car? After review, the car tire(s) were balanced and I was on my way after about an hour. When I was told "no charge" I did a 'double take.' No need to call for marriage counseling now! I went home very encouraged by the FRA response. Today it was time to take in my 2020 Chrysler Pacifica. In setting up my appointment, I mentioned that I like high performance spark plugs, but would respect their decision either way (need replacement or not). The trust they had established had lead me to make that declaration to them. I decided to wait, listen to the usual office chatter and get a better feel for their operations. You can tell a lot about a business when you hear how the employees speak to each other. When I was presented with the plug in the lobby, then told of plug characteristics to be mindful of, there was no need to change the spark plugs after all. As an educator, I appreciated the lesson. And I didn't have to take a test either. If you are reading this to decide whether or not you can trust FRA, stop reading. This shop has time for big websites and cartoon animation on their web page, but no time to fix regular American automotive repairs! I guess they just don't wanna be bothered? I went there to see if I needed a 4 wheel alignment. They said it would take about an hour. I went to go get lunch and shortly after I started eating, they called and said it was fine, not out of alignment and I could pick it up. They could have easily just have kept it the whole time, said it was fixed and charged me, but did not. What they did is a perfect way to conduct business and build trust. There are so many negative connotations associated with mechanics that it is hard to know who to trust but by doing this, they have my trust for any future issues with my cars I might have. Disgustingly overpriced. Only triple A in area so you feel stuck when you have a broken down car. If I didn't get the job done there, I cannot even imagine what they would have swindled in the way of a "diagnosis" on the vehicle. Simple job that took an hour to do and used a remanufactured part (didn't know until I had to pay that it wasn't a new part) for above 500 dollars. Unbelievable. Welp. They win. I am chiming in after checking reviews and hoping they'd have improved. Idk why honest mechanics that do the right thing is like a unicorn? I feel so bad for the folks with horrible experiences so I wanted 2 offer up mine in case it helps you. I used to take my car hear all the time but just maintenance stuff like oil,etc...but here's why I stopped. Trust and treatment. Several years ago my SES light was on. Turned out all I needed was a new gas cap but in their exploration of the evap system making sure no leaks ... They left something in my fuel tank which kept it sealed...how did I know? I suddenly couldn't put gas in my car. So...not only did I have to off one day of work for diagnosis but a 2nd due to no fault of mine to have them remedy....but NOT before I got talked to like a stupid woman when calling back to let them know I suddenly couldn't fill my tank. Mike, the mustached one got smart with me yelling how if I brought the car down, he would put gas in my car...as if I hadn't had 20 yrs + of doing this myself and it was MY fault....always assume a woman is stupid and it's her fault right? Wrong move...and sad, as although they used to be honest... Losing a 2nd day of pay and being treated like that is unacceptable. No true apology or compensation was offered. These days I know a lot more about trouble shooting and diagnosing cars and know how myself I just don't have the tools or muscle to make it happen and hubby isn't a guy who likes tinkering. So I still have to take the cars places 4 some things. Needless to say once you loose trust...it's gone forever and based on recent reviews, I see rightly so. My 1994 pick-up truck with a completely new rebuild engine and no rust on this vehicle off and on does not start but turns over.. I had the recommended shop accept from AAA towed there...they instructed me that it might be a long evaluation and that I would have to pay for all the time taken to diagnose the problem because it may take some time...they. Indicated that maybe my vehicle was not worth the money that it may take to diagnose it... well I again had it taken to another shop that limited the diagnostic time to a flat rate limited time... this indicated to me that to have a limited ability work on my truck was profitable to this shop.. Just had another great experience with Fox Run and tires. Our family has 4 cars ranging from 2006 to 2019 and we ONLY use Fox Run to service them. Yes, even the 2019! My daughter recently needed 4 tires and she could have gone to a big box store to purchase them however who's installing them? A certified mechanic who has a trained eye to view other mechanical items while doing a tire install? I don't think so! While installing the tires, Fox Run's tech caught a potential steering problem that could have cased a breakdown or accident with her car. The cost was minimal because it was caught ahead of time vs breaking and causing additional damage. THANK YOU! WARNING: STAY AWAY FROM THIS CORRUPT FRAUDULENT BUSINESS! I would give negative stars if I could. My car stalled on I-95 on my way from Florida to New Jersey. I called AAA who towed me to these crooks. My car was not starting or idling. After well over three hours, they called me to test drive the car which they got to start but run very poorly and still stalled several times. I asked what happened to the vehicle after already driving well over 900 miles from Florida. Office manager, Robert Hurt, then became rude and started a diatribe on the age of the vehicle and that it was past it's useful life. He claimed that it would be in my best interest to conveniently turn over the keys to him and that he would "take the problem off my hands." I asked him how I could even legally convey the vehicle to him without the title, as the document was in Florida. He replied with pleasure that "I got a guy who owns a junkyard that will take it." He seemed to have all the answers if I decided to give him the keys and rent a vehicle, including giving me a ride to a local car rental office. I called a friend who is knowledgeable on cars who informed me the last thing I want to do is give him the keys because it could be a $20.00 fix and it's a scam commonly used by irreputable repair facilities to legally steal your car. I paid a flat fee of $90.00 to Fox Run to release my car and I had the car towed to a mechanic I know and trust in New Jersey. The following day I was pleased to hear that the car was repaired and it was a $10.00 vacuum hose that cost me $50.00 with labor. I called Robert to tell him of the good news. The first thing he said was "I was up all last night thinking about what was wrong with your car." After telling him it's repaired he then said "What was it? A vacuum hose?" The liar knew all along what was wrong with the vehicle and lied to me to get the vehicle for free. I asked what was fair compensation for delaying me for over three hours, not fixing my car, trying to legally steal my car and, charging me $90.00 for the inconvenience. He offered to reimburse me the $90.00 which I accepted. I find it odd how he diagnosed my vehicle the next day and over 100 miles away. Stay away at all costs from these thieves! read more

I ran over a parking cement block with my 2018 Honda Accord and bend the thin metal shield under my car in the terrible rain storm/tornado warning from hurricane Ida that passed through Delaware on 9/1. The metal shield was bend down dragging on the road! My son and I got soaking wet in the storm trying to push it back up to no avail. I was going to attempt to drive it home but it could have caused a spark. Call AAA and they recommended Fox Auto as one of their approved repair shops. Fox Auto had to order the part (now my car was at their shop when the open at 8:00am and arrived at 8:10am to request repair. I called told at 9:00am about the repair abs that the part would not come in until the next day. I had to call the next day because I not heard from them by noon. They charged me $253.48 for the part, which can cost as low as $40 and $124.00 for a 15min labor job. I was supposed to have received 10% off the total cost of $377.48 as an AAA member, which should have been $37.48. The lady at the front counter (who stared at me so rudely when I first came in to request the repair on my car and I had to call her on her staring) after showing her my AAA membership card only took off $12.48. Now, I am not good at math but I can figure 10% of a price and $12 is not 10% or even 5%. Now, I don't know if because I was a woman and an African American woman with a nice car that they decided to take advantage of me and thinking I would not say anything. Well, I did not to say anything directly at the time! They had already remove the damaged part because of course they had too! I did not want to run the chance of driving my car without it until I could get it to my mechanic (especially since I had just purchased it a few months earlier) and I needed it repaired! Besides a review is more powerful! And, I will be calling AAA to provide a complaint/review, especially since the dispatcher highly recommended this AAA auto repair shop! And, of course, I will not be returning or recommending this auto repair shop! And, I will let others decide for themselves after reading my review, if they want to go to this auto shop for repairs! This company did me wrong. He towed my car about 9:15 to the dealership. Evidently, he dropped my car on the wrong side of the service dept. The driver never checked-in with honda to say he was dropping it off. My car was mia all day long. Honda didn't know where the car was, and Fox Run Auto had a voicemail on. Five hrs later I was ready to call the police and report it stolen. Never again will I call these people for anything!!! read more

I received a wheel alignment from this place and when I went the initial lady was pleasant but the other guy was very rude. Now fast forward, my husband made an appointment for a wheel alignment. They did the front alignment but told him he had to get the read control arm (have him specs of his car and what exactly had to be fixed) on his car fixed for them to be able to finish the back. Cool. He got the control arm fixed and made another appointment. At this appointment they told him he needed new tires for them to do the alignment but then upon questions he just needed not to have his spare on. Cool he made another appointment at this one they told him he got the wrong part on his car fixed and they still weren't able to do the alignment. This is now 3 times he had to go to this place just to keep getting the run around and the guy was very rude and unprofessional the last time. Would not recommend. read more

Stay far far away from this horrible dangerous car repair center. We were a victim of these careless and negligent people on Memorial Day weekend when a tire blew out and their AAA tow truck picked us up on 95. Instead of bringing us to any number of closer tire shops, he drove us way out to this place, which told us they could put two tires on the car and align the front end quickly. We waited over six hours, being told every couple of hours on a very quiet Friday that our car would be ready shortly, then around noon they told us, car is on the lift, the alignment will be done after lunch (which was another two hours). Finally got out of there over six hours later and both front wheels started coming off before we got to D.C., had to pull off the highway and found a Firestone shop, four bolts were almost completely unthreaded on the drivers side and the fifth was loose, on the passenger side all bolts were coming loose, they never torqued any of the lug nuts. Came very close to the wheels literally coming off the car. Called them and they said they'd look into it, sent an e-mail with my Firestone bill and never heard back, wrote again and never heard from them. They are highly dangerous, either deliberately left my lug nuts loose or they are highly incompetent. Don't let them use their AAA tow truck to sucker you in, this shop is horrible, stay far away!! read more

Man, this shop has really gone downhill. If it was possible to give zero stars, I would have. Fox Run Auto used to be the place to go in the Bear area to get honest and dependable service. We made an appointment nearly a week in advance to have the CHECK ENGINE message on our vehicle diagnosed. Brought it in first thing Monday morning. By noon, we heard nothing, so I called and was told someone would call me back. Mike called at 3:45 to tell me that he wouldn't be able to get to the car until the next morning, despite our "appointment." We heard nothing on Tuesday morning, so we called at noon. We were told that the technician that was working on it was at lunch and we would hear back when he returned. Received no call back so we called back at 3:00. When I called, Mike indicated that the technician was still trying to diagnose the codes and couldn't guarantee that they would have it diagnosed by the end of the day. He apologized for our vehicle "falling through the cracks". Sorry, Mike but that's no way to run a business. It shouldn't take 2 business days to simply diagnose a CHECK ENGINE issue. What's worse is the complete lack of communication, customer service and regard. It didn't seem to bother Mike that we were without a vehicle for 2 days while his shop did next to nothing to diagnose it, never mind actually getting to fixing any potential issues. If it were my shop and I failed this badly at serving my customer, I'd make sure to have the issue diagnosed and fixed before closing the shop for the day. I got nothing from Mike other than the promise to have the vehicle ready for pick up by the end of the day. When we arrived to pick up the vehicle, Mike gave us the runaround about my not appreciating how busy his shop was and how difficult it is to diagnose BMWs. He offered to provide a "loaner" vehicle but only after it was apparent that we had lost trust in his shop's ability to perform the service and after two full days on not having the vehicle. Why was that offer not on the table on Monday or early Tuesday? We have subsequently taken our vehicle to another shop and they successfully diagnosed the check engine issue & fixed the issue within half an hour. read more
