I was determined to find a local transmission shop that would assure me of their commitment to quality work along with new quality parts. I spoke twice with Mark at Cottman's located in New Castle, DE, before I decided to get the clutch replaced. I brought the car in early on a Monday morning and the car was ready by 2:00 that afternoon. I couldn't be happier. The transmission and clutch are responding as they did when the car was brand new. I now bring my car in to Cottman's for her oil changes. They allow me to specify my choice of oil (Castrol EDGE High Mileage 5W-30) as long as I give them a few days of advance time to obtain the oil and filters of choice. Goodbye to Valvoline.

Dante helped me navigate the process…read moreof dealing with a warranty company that was covering a used 2017 Chevy Silverado with 80,000 miles that most likely had transmission issues prior to my ownership. Dante was upfront and honest with me and provided me with options to keep this necessary repair financially manageable. Being convinced of Benchmark's integrity and after seeing their many great reviews, I chose a more expensive out of pocket option to have Benchmark remanufacture my existing transmission rather than take my chances on a rebuilt one shipped from the warranty company. I have put over 12,000 miles on the truck since the Benchmark repair and the transmission is as much like brand new as it was the day I picked it up. There is a reason Benchmark has so many really good reviews - these guys are the real deal, honest, friendly, and they do excellent work. I could not speak more highly of Dante & am very fortunate to have found Benchmark.

That said, I truly believe that when someone goes above an beyond what they are expected to do they deserve credit where credit is due. I took my Mazda into Benchmark after doing ton of online research and didn't tell him a thing about what I found. I wanted to see what Joe found. I knew I need a new transmission and Joe confirmed it but didn't try an up sell me on something I didn't need. In fact, he found and fixed simple things that had nothing to do with my transmission as he came across them - at no extra charge. One year later, my trans acts up. Dam. Called Joe. Told him what was up an brought it in. After taking a look and doing some research he found a part that was used to rebuild the trans had been recalled but we were never informed. I will still under warranty and Joe fix everything without a cent. Fast forward to today. More car troubles. Unfortunately, I've moved out of state but I still call Joe. Tell him exactly what the AAMCO is telling me and he calls it like it is and tells me he disagrees with my new shop. He has no gain in my car but takes the time to listen, do his own research, find the part I need and even offered to order and send it to me saving me soooo much money. Joe is legit.
