OUTSTANDING!!! I have a 2003 Jeep TJ with a 5-speed manual transmission. After hearing some…read morenoises, something broke and my drive train locked up. I figured I broke something in the transmission (judging from past experience with a different vehicle). Most transmission shops in the area refuse to touch a manual transmission. I went to see Mark at Cottman Transmission in New Castle. He showed no hesitation whatsoever. After we talked, he immediately dispatched a tow truck, at no charge, to pick up my vehicle (on a busy Friday) and had my Jeep in his shop within the hour. On Monday, he had determined that the problem was broken gears in the rear differential, and NOT in my transmission. This was good news! He gave me a very fair estimate, and I picked up my fully repaired Jeep on Wednesday after paying a few dollars UNDER the original estimate. In addition, he had checked out the rest of the drive train to ensure everything was in good shape. Overall, the service from Cottman Transmission in New Castle was excellent, and Mark was extremely professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and very responsive. Honest, reliable, and eager to serve a first time customer, I wouldn't hesitate to come back, and I highly recommend this shop. Lastly, I have a 1979 Jeep CJ-5 with a Chevy 350 in need of a new transmission, and I look forward to working with Mark to get it back on the road for the spring Jeep season!

Dante was upfront and honest with me and provided me with options to keep this necessary repair financially manageable. Being convinced of Benchmark's integrity and after seeing their many great reviews, I chose a more expensive out of pocket option to have Benchmark remanufacture my existing transmission rather than take my chances on a rebuilt one shipped from the warranty company. I have put over 12,000 miles on the truck since the Benchmark repair and the transmission is as much like brand new as it was the day I picked it up. There is a reason Benchmark has so many really good reviews - these guys are the real deal, honest, friendly, and they do excellent work. I seriously don't know why this shop here with all of the guys in there you would think that they know what their doing But they don't. I took my car over there and the had things stolen from my car, charged me thousands in cash for my e break tires and dash and inspection and all of these test to be done but when I gotten my car. it was as if they did nothing. E brake still doesn't work lights still up on the dash, buttons that worked before no longer work now. & then on top of the charge extra for parts that were stolen when it was in the possession don't trust this shop especially the employees&their prices or their work.
