I can't believe the ratings for this shop that are anything less than 5 stars! These 1 star…read morereviews are truly so opposite of everything I've experienced with both locations I almost feel like it's got to be a rival business or something. TJ and everyone at Michalak's in Harlerysville are honest, trustworthy, hardworking, beyond kind and caring! I've never had mechanics that look out for my safety and well being like a family member and aren't out to take every penny out of your pocket! I hope my detailed experience below helps you know Michalak's is not the 1 star people are leaving. I'm a woman who doesn't know anything about cars and when my car broke down I brought a car in cash from an unscrupulous man who said it was his late father in laws with low miles and good upkeep. I took it to Michalak's for inspection and they called me and told me I brought a disaster and I was devastated. TJ and the guys broke down all the repairs and work needed by essentials and worked super hard to help me afford to just get the car to pass inspection and be safe on the road to drive. They went out of their way to create a schedule for the repairs that fit what I could afford each month. As I drove the car and more things began to go wrong I called them with every knock or thump I heard and they always took my calls and advised me, TJ always said "call us anytime, we're never to busy to answer your questions and concerns and make sure you're safe when you're on the road!" I paid a little over $3,000 for the car and to pass inspection it cost $1,500 and it still had at least $2,500 in repairs to be done and when I called about the newest issue of the fuel tank being on empty but fueling would shut off after 2 seconds of attempting to put gas in! TJ didn't think 1 second about the money the shop could make but spoke to me honestly and told me to think about the money I'd already put into the car and what still had to be done. He told me as a mechanic that car was prone to issues and was a nightmare for the pocketbooks of owners and said he'd feel horrible taking my money and repairing a car that's constantly going to be in the shop with issues that tend to get worse as the years go by. Does that sound like a mechanic that's overpricing and breaking things so you have to come back? After that phone call I hit every form and video I could on that car and it's issues and undoubtedly would have spent at minimum $6,000-$8,000 in repairs had it not been for TJ's honesty and caring. That nightmare was a year ago! I ended up back in the world of car payments but couldn't be happier. My new car just began making noises and after doing digging on forums I thought it could be an issue with the sway bar link and of course I called TJ up right away and he just called me and told me everything's fine and he saw no issues. I know nothing about cars he could have said it was the sway bar link and charged me for work that never needed to be done but TJ and all the mechanic's at Michalak's don't treat their customers like that! They are honest, caring, kind men of integrity who take pride in their work and treatment of their customers. JT and the mechanics at Michalak's don't even know I'm ill, but my chemo port is directly above my sternum and I'm 5'1 so an accident with airbag deployment is lethal for me. Car repairs, maintenance, and safety literally are life and death to me and I will never take my car anywhere but Michalak's!

Control arms, ball joints, trans pan gasket, oil pan gasket and coolant line. I work on my truck and maintain is religiously. ALL WERE FINE BUT THEY INSISTED I COULDN'T EVEN PICK IT UP TO DRIVE IT BECAUSE IT WAS UNSAFE. My type of oil pan is an ABS pan that you can't just replace the gasket, you HAVE TO replace the whole pan because of the warp and chance of cracking if re-installed. They kept the same pan. Oil leaks and trans pan leaks less than a week later. Dropped it off a second time telling them all of this. Tom said "ok we'll take a look at it". One week later same leaks. He again says nothing more than "i'll take a look at it". Complete negligence at this point and i will be demanding a partial refund. Highly doubt they'll do anything though.

Something felt off I just took my car somewhere else. Turns out my oil leak was just from my oil cap and my control arms were fine. Almost spent thousands on an imaginary problem. They took my money for the inspection still. They will try to convince you to go to cherry lane auto for a "second opinion" if you press them. Cherry lane auto is also owned by them so don't fall for it. Steer clear of this place. The short dude is a seriously sketch guy.

I purchased a used 2007 FJ Cruiser with a cash purchase. My salesman, Dan Highes was professional,…read moreand recommended a used Toyota FJ Cruiser to replace the Jeep I have had for 17 years, and allowed me to test drive it. I lightly negotiated on the already reasonable price, and requested that the car be undercoated and alignment fixed. Both of those requests were met to my satisfaction, in addition to them detailing the vehicle for me. Dan was great to point me in the direction of the perfect vehicle. It would have been nice to go over all the features of the vehicle in more detail as I discovered there are a few off-roading buttons that I have no idea how to use, but almost accidentally pressed on my drive home (A-Trak, Differential Lock). However, with the internet, I'll figure out what they do. Not a big deal...but I would recommend that they acclimate the sales people with all buttons and features so that they can de-brief customers on all functionality while at the dealership. The only drawback during the purchase process was spending well over an hour sitting, waiting to pay for my vehicle. Since the price was agreed upon on my first visit, I was hoping to be in and out quickly and on my way to get some dinner. I arrived at 7:15 and left just before 9:00. That's very long when all I need to do is look at the vehicle, and write a check. On a positive note, their personnel are professional and personable. They met my minor vehicle requests without any issues. The dealership is clean, and modern looking. The music is lame but they have to already know that...I was only there for about 2 hours and the music was bland-rock. I don't even know if that is a music category, but it is the only way I would describe it. Ciocca is a car dealership...it should be fun and exciting to look at cars. Get some tunes to match. Their salespeople and customers will thank them for it. Overall, Ciocca is a very good business with good, ethical people. I trust them.

I do not recommend buying a vehicle from this dealership. My girlfriend purchased a used Subaru…read morefrom them, and right before selling it to her, the dealership installed new lower control arms. As it needed them to pass inspection. Unfortunately, the lower control arm bolts were not properly torqued during installation, which caused the bolts to loosen over time and created a major safety issue. As someone familiar with cars, this is completely unacceptable. Suspension components are critical safety items, and improperly torqued control arm bolts like this can potentially lead to loss of control or even a wheel / knuckle assembly coming off while driving. This vehicle was driven over an hour each way from and back to the dealership before the issue was discovered. With no compensation This was not a small oversight as it's three fasteners that hold the lower control arm to the knuckle and mounts. It was negligent workmanship that could have had very serious consequences. I strongly Do NOT recommend having any vehicle purchased and if you do take it to a independent garage or different dealer that is competent enough to ensure the job is done right and you or your family is safe while driving. The vehicle will be going through an advanced inspection to ensure there was no more oversights or safety issues as I value the safety of the driver.

*** DO NOT RECOMMEND! ***…read more I always try to give my business to local/family owned shops. This time it was a mistake! I came to J's Auto Service for a routine state inspection and emissions check. Everything was fine other than a puncture in one of my tires and my brake lights being out. When I picked up my vehicle the odometer was up an additional 5 miles even though their invoice states there was no change in mileage. (Miles in 158,162, actual miles out 158,167 ( see attached photos)). This was odd but I didn't think anything of it since a road test is usually preformed. Fast forward to when I got the tire replaced at their shop/to get my other sticker for inspection. I picked it up after work and was a little surprised it costed $52.86 ($63.11 - $10.25 (state safety sticker)) for ONE tire. I started driving and realized my dashcam was unplugged. I contacted the shop and asked why this happened. I spoke with Christine who told me, "All we did was install your tire and check your brake lights". I go home and review the footage. I come to find out that they did indeed unplug my dash cam. Not cool. I also reviewed the footage from the day of my inspection. Prior to my vehicle ever being inspected, Jamie and Christine used my vehicle to pick up another customers car! They came back, inspected my vehicle and then conducted a road test. I paid for a state inspection/emissions test, not for them to use my car for their business. I will not be giving them my business after this and will not recommend them to anyone.
