Since before I began to drive, John and Jim have taken care of my family's cars. When they joined together to start a business in Hatfield, I traveled from Willow Grove to have them take care of my car and me. Not only do they provide excellent maintenance of my car, they also keep the customer in mind when advising what repairs need to be made and when. In the middle of June I stopped at a convenience store, and when I went to start my car, the engint had quit. I called J's and Jim told me to have the car towed to J's and he would wait until I got there. He made sure I had a car to keep me going before I left, and J's took care of my new engine. I don't worry about car trouble because I know I'm not likely to have any because of how well J's takes care of my car, but if I do, John and Jim make sure that everything is taken care of so I can keep up with my life as they restore my car back to health. At the age of 17 I was eager to purchase my first car, and picked up an old Audi off a lot in Glenside, thinking I had found a "deal". When it came time for routine maintenance and PA state inspection, I identified J's Auto through the AAA Approved Auto Repair program. Unfortunately the car was not in good shape as I had thought, however John and Jim were able to quickly and cost-effectively nurse it back to health, also passing emissions and improving fuel economy, operating "like new" despite being over 10 years old! I CAN'T say when I pay a car repair bill I'm thinking "Woohoo" I CAN say , in the 7 or 8 years I've been taking my car to John & Jim at J's Auto, I GET WHAT I PAY FOR. I was the kind of guy who only went to the Dentist when I had PAIN. As a result of that way of thinking I developed severe PAIN IN MY WALLET. When John suggested that I schedule FACTORY RECOMMENDED MAINTAINENCE on my car , IT MADE SENSE TO ME.! Routine "check-ups" for me has resulted in . . . . well . . . routine driving. Granted, I've only been there once. I just bought my 2019 Mazda CX-5 off the lease and decided not to schlep an hour to the dealer for an oil change and tire rotation. J's is convenient to my home, got me an appointment for the next morning, and has really good reviews. Now I know why. My simple maintenance appointment turned out to be a not-so-simple oil leak caused by a cracked cylinder head -- a known issue for the car, but not by me. They took a ton of time, communicated regularly, and in the end sent me back to the dealer because the issue is covered under warranty. The following week, Christine checked in to see how the car was doing -- I'll have it back today -- and I told her that their diagnostics were spot on. My brother had a battery with a warranty, the battery didn't perform as well as it should have, J'S Auto was a shop in our area to replace the battery, my brother took the car there and was satisfied with the friendliness of the staff. They replaced the battery without a problem. He then started using them for repairs on his car and so did I. I just love this shop, they are not only great at the services they provide, but their prices are better than any other shops we've used. Their service can not be surpassed by any others in the area. Excellent service! I very recently moved into the area and had no idea where to find a good garage. I started hearing a troubling noise and was worried about being able to get to work. I contacted J's and they were able to fit me in right away. The cost of the repair was fair and they didn't try to talk me into getting any other work done. They even dropped me off at my apartment and picked me up when my car was ready. I work 3rd shift so it was great that I was able to sleep instead of waiting for my car all day. I have been going to John, Jim & Christine for my car repairs for 7 years. I heard Pep Boys had a sale on batteries, so I had them put one in. . . MISTAKE ! My car just STOPPED ! (THE NEXT DAY!) I called John, & Jim DROPPED WHAT HE WAS DOING AND CAME OUT TO WHERE I WAS AND GOT ME GOING ! THANKS GUYS !! It turns out Pep Boys installed the battery incorrectly. . . Skip the big corporate shops and go to this great locally owned auto repair center. The owners of the business are also the main techs. Very knowledgeable and will fix your car/truck correctly the first time. I currently service all four of my automobiles there and have been an active customer since 2008.
