Fox Raceway is one of my favorite tracks of all time! All of the tracks are lots of fun!

Generally used as a motocross event location, I attended Pala Raceway as Reebok Spartan Race decided to change their Socal Beast race. From the Temecula location in Lake Elsinore area, to this new location to provide their athletes with a new venue for their summer race. I was experience running at the Temecula location, at I was the Spartan Super & Sprint during the same weekend back in January of last year. And had really enjoyed the location and it's terrain, so I wasn't sure what to expect with it being at the raceway this time. Especially based on the images I'd seen of a dry and dusty looking course, but luckily we got to see plenty of the mountains in the background. Ad Obstacle Course Race athletes started their events on the outskirts of the dirt track and made their way into the mountains, then out onto the track area, only to go back out into the lower hills, and then back. To complete the 14+ mile Spartan Beast on Saturday and the 5+ mile Spartan Sprint Race. Being that it was in mid September, and out in the desert...it was HOT! The Saturday I was it got up in the low 90's, and the following day for the shorter run it was 100! So the heat kicked butt at times, but if the terrain and or the weather wasn't an obstacle it wouldn't be a Spartan Race! OVERALL: I enjoyed the race as I always do, was a little concerned about the weather ahead of time. But I came prepared and was hydrated, and brought plenty of electrolytes, salts, protein nourishment to keep me going. I wouldn't definitely run here again, as I enjoyed the course and love doing Spartan Races all over the place!

Pala Raceway is THE premier motocross facility in San Diego, hands down. Since April of 2009, the Pala MX facility has been open to motocross and ATV riders that are looking for a place to get some quality riding in that's safe and close to home. The facility has 5 tracks set up in it's current configuration that are labeled by different riding levels. The tracks are maintained and prepped every day so there is never issues with unsafe track conditions here. The staff is very helpful to riders on the property as well as on site EMTs in the event that anything serious happens. The tracks are fun and challenging without putting riders in danger. There is a $20 gate fee along with a $20 membership fee on your first visit. Spectators are free, though...so you can bring the whole family. Speaking of families, Pala Raceway is very family friendly, with two kid tracks for the youngsters to practice without fear of the bikes running them over. I am a frequent rider at Pala Raceway, and I'm happy to see it's addition to the SoCal lineup of motocross facilities in the area. Future plans look like that Pala Raceway will add in an asphalt track for street bikes/racing karts in the future, so look for that soon. After a hard, fun day of riding, what better way to wind down than a trip down the road to Pala Casino, chill by the pool and eat tacos...yea...that's the life. OK...well I have to thank Kim for starting a review of the Pala Raceway motorsports facility here on Yelp...even though she has never stepped foot on the property. Kim...one day soon maybe you should just drive in and check it out...

Very fun for my son. This is his 2nd favorite track in SoCal. Separate tracks for experienced and young riders. Makes it a bit safer

This review is specifically for the Monster Truck War event. Tickets were so much cheaper than the Monster Jam, so it was very appealing to take my son. I purchased the $40 VIP ticket. A complete waste of money. There was nothing VIP about our experience. There was no reserved seating. The ticket was supposed to get you into the Pit Party a little early and early to grab your seats. The problem was there was no one checking tickets, so everyone arriving at the same time was going into the pit party and saving their seats in the front rows. I could have had my same seats and go to the pit party with a regular $15 ticket and no one would have known the difference. They were doing rides on Monster Trucks. We were standing in line and the announcer kept promoting the rides on the loud speakers for $15 a person. When we got our chance to ride, we were told it was $20 and that the announcer was wrong. The announcer literally said $15 again while I was questioning it, at I was told it's $20 no expections. If you have a wheel chair or a stroller, good luck. Everything is dirt and broken asphalt in all of the seating and walking areas. If you are in the seats closet to the track, it's the worst. Very hard to walk without falling. The Monster Truck show it's self was ok, except for the cloud of dust that covered the seats when they did donuts. Be sure to cover your face. Overall, it was just not enjoyable. I would rather spend the extra money to watch the Monster Trucks at Snap Dragon next time they are here.

Had a veryyyy good experience the first time out. The owner of Fastrack Riders even came out and gave a class ending speech and thanked everyone for attending. He also roamed the garages and chit chatted with the folks out there and checked on us! Fastrack Riders is top notch in my books. They run their trackdays at Auto Club Speedway (formerly California Speedway) in Fontana. It was professional, SAFE (that is the KEY world here) and fun! All of their employees from the check in staff, to the Techs, to the instructors and corner workers were A+! I highly recommend them and I'll be back to work on my leaning skills again in the near future. They also give you a transponder to track your lap times. My wife and I still use a pic from the day of our first date that was at a track day there. Besides great support, access to tech, tires and guidance, training sessions and photography, this group has always been the most professional and reliable. I've done track days with others where there was essentially no supervision and found it dangerous - and on the other side, some with others that had too many constraints. Fastrack Riders offers the perfect balance and have so for a long time. I highly recommend them and suggest that even if you're just a street rider, you'll find a vast increase in your skills and ability to ride safely on the street by taking one or more track days - And it's the ultimately E ticket ride!!

Del Mar Racetrack is a must when visiting San Diego and is such a fun experience. My friends and I usually take the Amtrak train from Orange County to Del Mar station, they have shuttles to take you from the train to the venue for free which is nice. Dress to impress as well, they have a dress code but not too many people follow it. Some people go all out with suits, dresses and fancy dress wear. Tickets are affordable and they have a variety of ticket packages to choose from, we usually sit in GA area. As for the venue itself, its beautiful from the outside and the track is well maintained. If you look from the balcony, you can see the ocean! It's pretty confusing in my opinion to navigate each floor and where to find food concessions. They need to upgrade the building and rennovate the interior. The food here isn't too good but Tanner's Prime Burgers is a must. Betting is also confusing so I would recommend looking up a Youtube vid or ask some people around the stadium on how to do it. When in doubt, hammer Fresu, Rispoli, Berrios or Hernandez!
