If you wanna take your car to the racetrack they are super helpful and are willing to teach you and help you with everything you need to know especially if you're a beginner like myself and everybody has nice cars so you don't need to worry about anybody crashing into you. Speed District is my favorite track organization in So. Cal. I have run with every other organization in So. Cal. and have even gone to private track days... Everyone pales in comparison to Speed District. It seems like Josh and Speed District have spoiled me from going to other track days. Josh is great and really takes care of you and makes sure you're happy. Yes, it is a bit more costly than the others, but you definitely get what you pay for... There is a very low car count, no crowds, great management and great customer service. What does that all mean? Less traffic, faster times and more speed, while still being safe on track. Miles ahead of any track day organizer. I've experienced multiple different organizers-- some good and some horrible-- but none of them compare to the quality of Speed District. For the last year and a half I've tracked an M4, 570S, 488GTB, and now Performante with Josh at various tracks and have NOT ONCE felt unsafe. I will justify my 5-star rating with the following criteria: Safety: Josh and his team pride themselves on running a professional event. New drivers and returning drivers respect the track, the people, and, most of all, each other. The limited car count and courteous drivers further attracts clientele that have the same mindset. Josh does not advertise Speed District because he believes in word of mouth, and this ethos has more than showed its value during events. The Staff: You'll begin to recognize and enjoy the company of his team. And the main reason is because they enjoy their work and being around cars. No attitude and extremely proactive in making sure YOU enjoy your hard earned track day. Value: For a little more money than "competitors" you get 20 minutes every hour, and if that wasn't enough, they also have open-track for the remaining 2 hours in the afternoon. Chances are you'll be tired or hanging out with your friends around the pits talking about cars than actually going out to do more runs. Additionally, transponders and photos are included in the price. There is seriously nothing else they can do other than to continue organizing track days to make us happy. Do I recommend Speed District events? Yeah... only if you maximize track time, hang out with friendly people, and protect your cars from reckless drivers. Very well organized trackday events. I've ran with other organizations such as Speed Ventures, Extremespeed, and other private events. Many of them are overly crowded, business oriented, and dangerous to drive with. It will cost more to run with speed district but it's well worth my money. By limiting the number of participants, you are entitled to more driving time, less traffic, and more fun! I usually have to work saturday afternoon. But I still get plenty of track time when i'm with this group. By lunch time or soon after, I'm already happy with what I've done for the day and am ready to leave. One of the other reasons why I like this organization is because of the people. Josh always takes care of his customers. Drivers are usually very friendly and courteous out at the track. When there are problems, the staff members listen and try to fix it. Over the past few years, I have attended many of Speed District's track events. Whether I was driving a 30 year old track car or a brand new BMW/Porsche, I was always treated well. I always had a good time and will continue to come back. read more

One star for customer service. My trailer had a blowout on my way to the event which pretty much ruined my whole day. Buttonwillow isn't a 3hr drive for me so left at 5am. Blow out was around 7am, had to wait for tire shops to open, get two new tires and by the time everything was done it was already 1pm. I pretty much emailed Josh shortly after it happened in the am and again yesterday with no response back. Asking for voucher to the next track day, meanwhile I spent $340 which basically donated away. Maybe now I'll get a response back. read more

I just discovered Speed District. I am in Central Cal, and they are a SoCal organization...discovered them through a Porsche Focused Board, Rennlist. I recently attended one of their "private"*** track days, Buttonwillow Raceway, Configuration 13, CW. OMG the exotics that showed up...and you are on the track with these monsters..we're talking McClarens, Porsche GT3 and GT3 Cup Cars, Vipers, exotics so exotic I didn't know what they were. Check your mirrors because you are going to be passed, on multiple occasions. The participating drivers were courteous and all were there to celebrate their good fortune (They have a car suitable for the track), and can take a day off. Drivers were on their best behavior. I saw no "incidents" up until I left for home at 3:00 PM...they shut the track down at 5:00 PM. The track was "Hot" from 9:00 Am until 12:30 PM, and 1:30 PM until 5:00 PM...that's the possibility of seven (7) hours of track time, enough to satiate most. Passing is with a recommended point by...I gave quite a few, and received a few as well. Good driver deportment. Josh and his crew kept everybody focused on the task at hand, to drive safely on a great track and having fun. Speed District does have a loyal clientele. When you check their schedule for the year, you'll see lots of one (1) day events. This is very appealing to some with families and jobs...Speed District keeps their attendance controlled to the point where you'll have lots of track time, more than other clubs can provide you in a weekend. Last but not least, Kudos to Porsche of Fresno. They trucked over some great cars, and had professional instructors available, should you need one. I believe that may have been an initiator of this track day! Is it cheap? No, but you get value for your money. Example, this past weekend's event, included in your entrance fee was a transponder if needed, lunch as well as a professionally prepared DVD by Cali Photography, the resident photographers. Purchased separately, this is about a $100 value. And as most know, event entry fees are some of the more moderate expenses compared to tires, brake pads, etc.. *** "Private" means they manage attendance to the point where the drivers all have more track time than they'll ever use. In many cases their drivers are repeat customers, so they Speed District knows their customers.They will also have "download" meetings after each session, if the drivers want them. This way, Josh, you and/or your fellow drivers can deliver constructive criticism should there be a driver that is less than courteous or accommodating. So when you have the need, the need for speed, check out Speed District. I know I will. Oh and by the way, I thought I saw some familiar faces in the cafeteria, none other than world class racer Patrick Long, and baseball legend CJ Wilson, now a huge car dealer, Porsche, Audi, McLaren, etc.. Hmmmm, so that's how those beautiful cars got to the event in that monster transporter..all I can conclude with, you should have been there if Track Days are your thing. read more

Best track day experience, period. You get more track time than you or your tires can handle, everything's included so you get some great pics of your car and an safe, fun, seat of your pants experience. I've been with this group at Buttonwillow, Willow Springs and Mazda Laguna Seca and every event is well organized and you get so much track time that most people leave early as their endurance or their car's tires are toasted before 2:00pm. They usually do open track time in the afternoon and very few people have any tires left, so you're free to run as much as you can. I've seen reviews for other groups where you only get 4-5 sessions in a day, that's not the case with Speed District as you'll get as much track time as you can handle. Started tracking with Josh and Speed District back in August of 2014. His events are truly the best events out of all the SoCal track event organizers. The wait time between sessions is 40 mins from the time you get off. So you don't get tired from standing under the sun for an hour and half like other organizers. You will always see cars from Porsche, Ferrari, Lambo, and even McLaren at his events along with BMW, Benz, basically all makes and model attend. Everyone who attends Speed District events are either friends or family. Great group of guys to spend a day at the Track with. The FREE CD with all your track photos is something that none of the others are doing. Yes, his events are a bit more than others but he also has a cap on how many people can sign up, so you are NEVER on the track with 30+ cars at a time. On average you get about 2x the amount of track time compared to others. His instructors are always willing to answer any questions you have about how to improve and become a better and safer driver while on track. You have to attend other events to truly appreciate Speed District. Other events jam pack their days with 100+ cars and 6+ run groups... Giving you only 4 sessions a day... I hate coming off of a session knowing it's more than an hour until I get back out there... This is why I only go to Speed District events. I will get 3 total hours of ON TRACK time. This means every 40minutes my run group is called (they only have 3 run groups that go every 20min). Not only that but there are little to no traffic concerns and everyone knows what they are doing. If you're new then you're welcome. They provide professional instructions from competent instructors. You get what you pay for. Speed District is easily worth it! read more

Although I didn't run my car; I attended the driver information training. First Rate. Josh is courteous and professional. From what I could tell and my friends remarks; this is a well run business. On 12/20, there were maybe 25 drivers. If you were not there, you missed out. The Advanced and Intermediate groups cycled quickly and without drama. The quality of drivers was very fine. (driving this track a week before Christmas is stellar, everyone stays home. After 1 pm, the track was wide open until 5 pm. Five Stars. read more

Wow! This company that runs track days is unparalleled! I usually run with PCA(Porsche Club of America) who I really like as well. However, with speed district you get way more value. You generally get twice the amount of track time or more in one day. They also included with the price you get free transponder use, and professional pictures(I got over 40 pics from multiple spots of the track) included for no extra charge. Most people dont even complete the whole day. At 230pm I had already had 2hr 54min track time and went through 29 gallons of fuel. The amount of potential track time is unreal. I was spent! still could of gone out alot more! Super cool friendly knowledgeable staff eager to share tips and talk cars. I drove 4hours from Vegas and it was well worth it. As a new driver, Josh has always been great at answering any questions I have. I felt a little overwhelmed the first couple times, so I felt asking questions made me seem like a "rookie" but Josh was great. His staff really enjoys racing and cares about their participants. So, of the multiple organizations I've ran with, I really prefer track days at Speed District. Cleaner laps equals more fun and Speed District does the best job of this..hopefully in 2017 they'll have some dates at Laguna Seca. read more

Speed District was organized by a guy just like you and me, for people like you and me. Just average guys who want track time without all the restrictions or rigamarole from higher profile event hosts. Come in with an easy Self inspection ( honestly the SCCA has harsher tech inspections) and bring your helmet and water and just smash! for Just over 200 bucks I got 30 laps in at Buttonwillow. Thats less than 7 bucks a lap, and the run groups are nice and open! On my mothers grave you'd be hard pressed to find a track day with more seat time. And because the atmosphere is so relax people intermix and mingle. We even got ride alongs in hyper exotic cars like a GT305R and a 570S, there was even a brand new Type R out Lapping with us. read more

There is no other track group in SoCal (or the US?) that compares to Speed District. Josh manages to put together an event that is somehow Safe, Affordable, and has minimal on track traffic ( A HUGE plus to those that do this frequently). The rules are and requirements are strict enough to keep everyone safe, but not so "big brother" (ahem, Porsche club looking at you) as to make you feel like you're constantly on the verge of being booted from the track. I have NEVER used all my time at an event. I've always run out of gusto before I ran out of allocated time. It's a great environment, family friendly with participants of all ages and vehicles of all types. Can't recommend Speed District enough! read more

I've participated with several other track groups and I must say Speed District is the most organized. Sure you pay more money compared to the other track groups but you get your money's worth because there isn't 100 people out on the track (I'm looking at you Extreme Speed). The only reason I'm giving this review four stars is because I had a family emergency and I had to leave one of the track events after the first session. I asked if I could get some form of credit or discount towards another track event but was denied. I understand their refund policy, but it sucks nothing was done to satisfy a customer. Sure I will continue to come back, but $240 gone to waste unfortunately. read more
