Troy is the other man to know over there. Such a good dude. Also patiently answered several of my questions and helped me get my old Kart, safe and ready for the track. New tires, a new gas tank fuel lines. They had everything in stock and bolted it on like a pit crew. The track is fantastic and the perfect size for Go Kart. They also have motorcycles out there. Super fun to watch. I feel like it would be a pretty tight circuit on a quick motorcycle. They sell cold drinks, chocolate bars, and chips... All the health food required to survive a day on the track. I ended up leaving my Go Kart there for around $100 a month. They'll start it for you and pull it out with a days notice when you want to go racing. Racing and convenient are usually two words that don't live in the same sentence but you'll find that at this place. Do yourself a favor and check them out.

Really kind of sad considering Willow Springs is way better and they don't charge you anything. Also, the cell service here Sucks. No wifi and the ports potty's bathrooms are terrible and haven't been emptied in quite a while. No food anywhere close and Uber eats doesn't come. With all the Roach coaches in the greater Riverside area, we can't get one or two to come here for racing season? Or how about a Coca-Cola vending machine?

I was actually surprised at the size of the crowd Monday, very well attended. For those new to Santa Anita go to the Frontrunner for a restaurant experience overlooking the stretch run. Serious horse players go to the "Room" - it's next to the Chandelier room. Used to be called the Sports Book but now it's just unnamed. The clubhouse side has outdoors table seating just past the finish line. Plenty of bars and food venues throughout for those so like to walk around and visit the paddock and walking ring. Peacocks walking around. An experience I will cherish for ever. On race day, there were rides, food, beer, and just a good vibe that would make anyone come back again. Sure it was hot! Expensive Parking Parking near the Acura Grand Prix is…read moreextremely expensive, with lots charging $60-$80 close to the entrance. We found a $12 lot about a 10 minute walk away, which was a great deal but surprisingly, navigation apps showed completely inaccurate walking times, so asking people nearby was much more reliable. Confusing Layout and Poor Directions Once inside, things quickly became frustrating. We entered through one side and were told the event had already ended, even though we had arrived two hours before the end time. Multiple employees kept redirecting us to different areas, and no one seemed to know where the racing was actually happening. Unhelpful and Rude Staff We asked around 15-20 staff members, including security and event workers, and most either didn't know or gave conflicting directions. One staff member was outright rude and dismissive, telling us it was too late and trying to sell us tickets for another day instead of helping us figure things out. Overcrowded and Disorganized The event felt extremely crowded and chaotic. There were large groups of people everywhere, a concert happening at the same time, and no clear guidance on where to go for specific activities. We spent nearly two hours just walking in circles trying to find the races. High Prices Everywhere Food and drinks inside were very expensive, which is expected at big events, but even vendors outside and nearby street food stands were charging unusually high prices. Atmosphere and Crowd The vibe was energetic and lively, with a mix of all ages, from babies to adults. It felt like a big, exciting event, but also very loud and overwhelming at times. Overall Experience Unfortunately, we never got to actually watch the races despite having tickets. Between the lack of clear directions, unhelpful staff, and overcrowding, the experience felt more frustrating than enjoyable.

A fun event for the whole family!…read more I really enjoyed walking around inside the convention center; there were lots of neat cars all around the entire floor, lots of awesome merch, and lots of sponsors and freebies. Lots of different styles of cars so it was definitely nostalgic, as well as getting to see newer cars to fawn over. The race itself was awesome to see, feeling the gentle breeze of the nearby ocean, and that fresh smell of rubber burning on the track, sitting on the stands eating popcorn was the best part of all. There was a DJ spinning some tunes so I got to do a little dancing. Love the Grand Prix vibes this year around.

Here we are, almost 40 years old, and I decided to live out some childhood dreams (now that I have the time, money, and means to)! I chose Drift 101 because I know Naoki is one of the frontrunners for the west-coast drifting scene. I bought a full-day lesson for myself for my birthday and had my husband come along. There were 2 instructors to 2 students, we were both in 240SXs and basically took turns back to back doing drills throughout the day, with breaks in between to cool off (it was HOT, pro-tip, don't go in the summer, pick a cooler month), ask questions, and talk about the next drill/exercise. Having had ZERO drift or manual car experience, the instructors (Naoki and Ruben) were incredible - they catered the instruction to best help out my overthinking brain, and I was starting to see some things click. I think I did have to curb my expectations some, because I think I expected myself to be drifting at full speed around a track, but my skill level was definitely not there yet, and they're not going to move you to an advanced skill without a good grasp of the foundations. For me, it was a focus on left/ride slides, transitioning/linking them together, and donuts. I struggled with linking a slide into a donut, but Ruben and Naoki were constantly there giving me pointers and things to focus on for each 'lap.' I definitely recommend and have plans to go again and build upon my skills. It was a great, safe, no-pressure environment perfect for any skill level or level of enthusiasm.

Instead, I got a full day 2:2 (2 instructors: 2 students: 2 S14 drift cars) full drifting science clinic. Explanations and tutorials were professionally delivered with a whiteboard. You can tell the team is passionate and knowledgeable about both building and driving performance machines. Expect to drive a LOT! There was so much seat time I actually looked forward to water breaks. Thanks again Naoki and Reuben!
