I have…read moresome friends that participate with their bikes out here, but- hubby's friend stages here, since he has worked on some of the car motors. Seems like, if you're a spectator- you'll enter thru the right side gate and drive along a compact dirt road to find parking. Once parked- you'll trek on dirt to the first set of bleachers (on the right side of the drag strip) But, once you cross over the paved staging lanes - you'll trek can access additional bleachers- the newly remodeled bathroom building and the snack shack. We arrived later in the morning- think by 10am. Feel free to walk around and check the cars (motorcycles- depending on the event you're attending) lined up for their races. Or walk by the trailers, to Looky Lou. The snack shack offers simple items. Hot dogs- which were huge! Nachos, fries, hamburgers, root beer floats, drinks. They do accept card at the snack shack. There's no shade provided- so, be mindful of that. Luckily out visit was very gloomy- which worked for me. Still brought some sunglasses. The speaker system works amazing. What I nearly choked on was the entrance fee. There's no price signage as you approach the entrance. It's $20 per person! (Adult?) I wonder if there's a price difference for kids? Guess, I assumed it's per vehicle?

However, when we left...another story. Our fellow music lovers were a little piggish. They left trash by their seats. Makes you wonder what their homes look like?! Hello???!!! We should have walked out (and apparently many people did) but hoped it would get better and that he would at least sing ONE song that we knew. No such luck. My sister and I left about an hour before first pitch, hoping to arrive around 30 minutes early. Unfortunately, we ended up sitting in traffic and didn't make it into the parking lot until about 30 minutes after the game had already started. Since it was SpongeBob SquarePants Theme Night, I expected heavier traffic because of the giveaway. However, I was disappointed with how traffic was managed. We entered through the parking gates near third base, where there were several staffed pay lanes, but they all funneled into a single entrance road. While there were additional employees directing traffic, their efforts seemed to create more confusion than improve the flow, resulting in a long bottleneck just to enter the parking lot. Once we finally got inside, the experience was much better. Despite the large crowd, the food lines moved surprisingly quickly, and we had no trouble grabbing an Angel Dog and Helmet Nachos before settling in to enjoy the game. Overall, I still had a good time, but the parking experience was frustrating enough to take away from the evening. In the future, I'll either plan to leave much earlier for popular giveaway nights or choose a less crowded weekday game instead.

It was a hot weekend but there was plenty of shade at the top of the Ampitheater. This venue is a great place to listen to live music. The sound was great and there was plenty of seating. Check the website because it may vary depending the event but I would suggest bringing a pop up of sorts and some lawn chairs. The bottom half of the Ampitheater is stadium type seating, essentially concrete seats which get very hot with the Temecula heat. If you plan on sitting in those seats I would suggest bringing a seat cushion for comfort as well as protection from burning your bum, and a hat. Overall a really neat venue.

This year the concert series runs from June 1st to the last one on July 27th. Gates open at 5pm and the concert starts at 7pm. This is a beautiful outdoor arena located on the grounds of the Temecula Community Recreation Center and next to the Ronald Regan Sports Park. There are several rows of tiered seating with a grassy area which is wide enough to fit a beach chair for comfortable seating. At the top, above the tiered seating levels is a grassy area where you can lay down a blanket and spread out. There is also easy handicap access and seating. No alcohol or pets are allowed. There is lots of parking. These concerts are very popular and fill up quickly. Get there early to grab your spot, bring a picnic dinner, and enjoy the outdoor setting while waiting for the concert to start. The audience is filled with young and old, and a lot of families. There are usually snacks and drinks for sale, but not anything for a full meal. I think last night the vendor was Maui Wowi Hawaiian Coffees and Smoothies. Last night the band was Smokin' Cobras, singing old time rock and roll, a little bit of Johnny Cash, Beach Boys, Swing, and a lot more. Everyone gets into the music and there was a lot of dancing. It was fun, fun, fun! The seats face west and the sun is right in your face until it sets. It does get hot during the summer time. Bring sun glasses, a hat, or an umbrella for shade. Once the sun goes down, the evenings are usually quite nice. Last night was a bit chilly. Temecula is such a great place to live! Getting into the parking lot was simple, and I prepaid for general parking, which cost $45. I made a point to park near the exit, and it definitely paid off because leaving after the concert was quick and hassle-free. Security was efficient and well organized. Bag checks were conducted quickly, and the lines moved smoothly. Once inside, the arena was easy to navigate with clear section signage throughout the venue. There were plenty of restrooms and food and beverage vendors conveniently located around the building. The arena feels modern, well-maintained, and relatively new. I was seated in Section 112, and the view was excellent. The interior layout is well designed, and it seems like there really isn't a bad seat in the house when it comes to viewing the stage. The stairways are wide and not overly steep, making it comfortable to move around before, during, and after the event. Overall, this is a great venue for concerts. Easy access, efficient operations, comfortable seating, and good sightlines made for an enjoyable experience. I would definitely return for another event.

I like going to drive-in I love the privacy and quietness in my vehicle. I had a mattress in the back of my truck with the tailgate propped open to lay out our goodies, and watched the movie with my girlfriend. Overall experience for her and me was awesome. We got hooked to the dual movie per screen which made the drive-in movie experience more valuable than spending your money at the movie theaters at the mall.

Based on the name, I thought it would be more open air and exposed to the elements, but the setup was cozier and more sheltered than I anticipated. They have a selection of snacks and beverages available, which was nice, although I do wish they were able to sell alcohol. A beer or glass of wine would have been a great addition to the experience. It can be a little hard to find, but if you can locate LA Fitness or Old Spaghetti Factory, you're getting warmer. It's nestled between Pizza Nova and Ryan Bros Coffee. Lots of free parking. They've also hosted the annual San Marcos Student Film Festival 2 years running, which is usually in June, and again free to the public. The only reason for the lack of 5 stars is that it is COLD in the winter, and WET when its rainy ...not that there's a real solution to that, other than a blanket and an umbrella.... Expect kids running around, outdoor noise from cars and conversation, but its all part of the fun. Did I mention its all FREE?

(The Friday movies tend to be older/more obscure). It's right in the middle of a bunch of restaurants and there's a fire pit if you get cold. Though not "pristine" movie viewing conditions, it's free and its outdoors and did I mention it's Free?. A rad way to spend a few hours some Saturday night taking in a flick. Bring your own blanket (and chair if you've got one, seating can be limited) and re-live the golden age of drive ins, that you probably weren't alive for in the first place.

Barona Speedway is not known to San Diego city people like it should be! the place is so much fun, I've been going there on and off for 13yrs! I race at barona speedway in the dwarf car class, the people that run the track are very cool Everyone that works at / on the track are volunteers, and i thank all of them for the awesome job they do!!!! If you like dirt track car racing full of plenty of excitement and fun then You should come on and check it out! The track features a wide variety of cars including Sprint Cars, Dwarfs, Modifieds, Street Stocks, Pony Stocks and Factory Stocks providing an exciting race program! There is a concession stand for your convenience, with lots of good food and soft drinks, or you may bring your own cooler and BBQ's. You can bring beer and booze! The track has really gone down hill. They are only getting about 7 cars on a night. The race director has taken any fun out of racing, By own a share in a car. Can you imagine,, Owning a stake in a racecar and deciding if the car is legal or the Driver is right or wrong? let me guess,, Their driver is always right.... Oh wait,, once they read this,, They will sell the share for a $1.00 and say they have no interest.. How can someone be non bias and judge fairly. Maybe that is why the 2013 season is getting less than 10 cars per division ( exception is the Dwarf cars. This is the last track to race at for these cars. So they have no choice ). What the track needs is to get all the favoritism out,, Offer to pay more than $50.00, to bring cars back, and restore racing in San Diego.. Currently,,, This track is on a down hill Slide. The track started bringing back the stock pony's.. Good Idea? They got 2 cars in that class. They can actually get 2 classes together ( Pro Pony and Stock pony ) and get a whole 8 cars. Streets and Factory stocks are in the same boat, 8 cars... Now lets look at there Premier series, The Super Stocks,,,,,,,,,,last year on average 3 cars........... This year there are more,, A whopping 6 or so cars....... So yes everyone come out to barona Speedway and watch races with 6 or so cars.......That sounds soooo much fun..........NOT read more

It's an amateur rodeo, so a lot of bronco and bull riders weren't completing their rides, but it was $20 to get in. Also several kid events that were pretty cute. The website said....no outside food or drinks. No one checked anything. It said to get there early to get a grandstand seat. There was plenty of seats, even in the shade. It also said they would have a burger pop-up restaurant. They did not. They had a concussion stand with $5 hot dogs and nachos, $3 waters, $6 lagers and seltzers. It was hot so we had a couple drinks, then did a late night dinner. Oh, parking in the rodeo lot was a nightmare. It was $20 and no one helped cars get out onto the road, so we sat in the lot forever. Rookie mistake.

Lots of young people, all very good looking! Maybe I should go often to this type of places and meet a cowboy . The show was great and the presenter was very entertaining. I liked the attendees too, pretty civilized, tons of young people and couples. Very pleasant and nice experience in and out.

The general entry line wasn't super long at 1st but for sure it started getting packed. We were 1st in line and eager to check everything out and get some good scares. The trial is a bit uneven but is well lit and actually not too bad to walk. The scareators were amazing, the props as well and the staff superb! The scares are enhanced knowing you are literally walking through the buildings and area of the old amusement park. We were in the first group to enter and what I liked not is we were spaced out. Even though there were roughly 8 of us we all got a chance to get scared. There was no overcrowding or trying to fit too many people through at once. It was perfect. Parking is free and easy in and out (dirt lot but we'll maintained). Depending on the time and date you go might help factor in which ticket option you want. There are three options, general line, fast pass, and VIP. Each allow you to stand in or bypass the line. Later in the season I would for sure go with fast pass at least. I can picture this haunt getting busier. Overall a great local haunt, well priced, easy to get to and awesome people. Can't wait to go back!
