Absolute chaos of minor league baseball from beginning to end but we absolutely loved it. It had been a bucket list item for a while to go to a TJ Toros game and we took a few hours out of our trip to San Diego to make it happen! Park easily at the border and be across walking in 10 minutes. Cheap Uber to the stadium and scan your tickets which you bought online in advance and you are in for a few hours of fun. The game is almost secondary to the constant lights, music, mascots (like 10?!) food vendors and other patrons having a great time. Buy the upgraded seats (still super cheap) be brave enough to try some food (or not) and buy some authentic or knock off merch. Uber after the game back to the border was quick and cheap as well. Felt very safe the entire time and while there were minimal language issues and we probably paid tourist prices from a few vendors it was an unforgettable experience!

They are not organized at all. People do not stay in their designated area it's annoying but whatever.

North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre - Ray G, GOAT security guard!

My hubby surprised me with Jonas Brothers tickets!…read more Honestly, I wasn't sure how the concert would be set up given the venue's layout, but our seats in the 200s section were fantastic: totally worth the traffic getting there. I had the best time despite leaving a little early to avoid the post-show gridlock. I'm giving it 3 stars mainly because of the location, long VIP bathroom lines, and the bumper-to-bumper traffic before and after the show. The food and drink prices were also on the higher side, though that seems to be the norm these days. That said, my overall experience was still amazing! Had great VIP seats, JoBros rocked it, and I got to watch my husband crush it on DDR before the main act!

You shouldn't have to bail out early, just so it's not an hour plus to leave the parking zone. I have a system from years of coming here. Come early, leave a song before the end, etc. Sign up for designated driver to get a voucher for a free soda or water. Eat in the car before you come in, lol, because the food is expensive and not great. Most seats are decent with the exception of 1) the lawn and 2) the pit area if it's seated. Neither of those are good, unless they have to close the lawn due to the show under-performing. Then those with lawn tickets get changed to one of the seated sections. For that reason, you should wait to rent a chair for the lawn when you get there, to make sure you'll actually be there because they won't give you money back. The pit isn't great when it's seated. You could pay less for the 100s, and the seat would be more comfortable. Customer service near the main entrance is where you can sign up for d/d, and they also have a sign with the times for the bands. Merch lines can get long, so go first thing when you get there. Drinks and food are both pricey, and food is just ok. This is a clear bag facility like most of the larger venues in SD.

Security is a little better now, although there are still inconsistencies when it comes to enforcing prohibited items depending on which security guard you get. That part definitely still needs improvement. I'd give this place 4 stars mainly because the food and venue prices have increased drastically but honestly, that seems to be the case everywhere these days. Even with the higher costs, this is still a beautiful and very pristine stadium. It's easy to navigate, parking has never really been an issue for us, and the overall venue experience has been great. The staff here at Frontwave Arena have been amazing, especially the arena staff and event crews. We actually just bought season tickets for next season to support the San Diego Sockers because that's how much we've enjoyed coming here. As an Oceanside resident and native, I feel like I have to support Frontwave right now because it's becoming part of the identity of this great coastal city on the West Coast.

The team won convincingly and we were able to witness them win their 17th Championship. The vibe was electric. The crowd cheering and changing all throughout the game. 10-3 was the final score. San Diego has every right to be proud of this stadium. Definitely top-tier among MLB parks…read more Background Attended a Saturday evening game in early May. Great weather (because, San Diego), partly cloudy skies, temperature in the mid-60's. We had lower-tier seats on third-base line, just a handful of rows up from the dugout, Chicago White Sox were in town. Sadly, the Pale Sox pasted the Pad's 4-0. Stadium Petco truly checks all of the boxes of a great ballpark. Downtown location - sure thing, the nearby Gaslamp District has numerous restaurants, bars and hotels to complement your visit. Easy access - yes, including ample garage parking and nearby train service Open air - of course Excellent viewing lines throughout the stadium - yes Seating close to the action - you bet Avid fanbase - 42,000 attend virtually every game, so, yep Outfield view - great, and I mean GREAT, view of the city skyline Stadium lighting / sound - unfortunately, our game was pretty much a snooze fest so difficult to judge. I've seen videos of the crowd and stadium sound system roaring, and also of a great home run firework celebration. Sadly, we didn't get to experience any of this. Anything iconic? - well, there's the Western Metal Supply Building which literally serves as the left-field foul pole. So, yeah! It's difficult to find anything I'd improve. Cushioned seats would be nice, we've had those in a couple parks. Maybe....bring back The Chicken? The Friar doesn't exactly excite me. So, is this THE best MLB park? Well....there's some tough competition for the #1 spot. Personal taste and sentiment inevitably come to play on this. For now, I'll simply keep to my comment, Petco is definitely among the very best parks to watch a ballgame. Food The foot-long franks were fine, not the best but certainly far from the worst. Overall, there's an abundance of food options. Japanese curry anyone? Kombucha? Pop pies (a local favorite, close cousin of a pot pie)? Anything Unusual The game started at 5:40 pm which is unusual for me. I enjoyed the earlier start, gave us extra time to enjoy a couple drinks at a local bar after the game. Overall Not much more I can say. Highly recommended!

I arrived early, so I had lots of time to check out the Hello Kitty merch at the Padres Team Store. Got a tote bag and plushie to add to my growing collection! Even the food vendors were very quick and efficient. I look forward to attending more games in the future!

My only complaint was the bathroom setup for the men's room. I've never seen a line 50 people deep. It's not like the layout can be fixed, just plan ahead. Good food options that moved people through relatively quickly. And it's always a plus when your team wins.

It's a mid-sized arena (about 12,000 seats), so even if you're up in the higher rows, you still feel like you're part of the action. The energy was electric, especially seeing the Villanova blue and white mixed in with the sea of SDSU red seats. The Good: * The Sightlines: There really isn't a bad seat in the house. Since it's a bowl shape, you're right on top of the court. * The Vibe: The "open-air" concourse is such a San Diego move--it's great to step out for a breather between games without feeling like you're trapped in a basement. * Organization: For a sold-out NCAA event, getting through security was surprisingly smooth, though the "clear bag" policy is strictly enforced, so don't try to sneak anything in. The Not-So-Good: * Concession Lines: Between sessions, the lines for food and beer were brutal. If you don't time your run perfectly, you're going to miss the start of the next tip-off. * Cashless Only: The whole place is cashless now. Great for speed, but a pain if you didn't come prepared. * Parking: It's SDSU, so parking is always a headache. If you didn't rideshare, you probably spent 20 minutes circling the structures. Bottom Line: If you get a chance to see a tournament game here, take it. It's loud, intimate, and has way more character than those massive NBA arenas where you're a mile away from the floor.

It was a hot weekend but there was plenty of shade at the top of the Ampitheater. This venue is a great place to listen to live music. The sound was great and there was plenty of seating. Check the website because it may vary depending the event but I would suggest bringing a pop up of sorts and some lawn chairs. The bottom half of the Ampitheater is stadium type seating, essentially concrete seats which get very hot with the Temecula heat. If you plan on sitting in those seats I would suggest bringing a seat cushion for comfort as well as protection from burning your bum, and a hat. Overall a really neat venue.

There is lots of parking. These concerts are very popular and fill up quickly. Get there early to grab your spot, bring a picnic dinner, and enjoy the outdoor setting while waiting for the concert to start. The audience is filled with young and old, and a lot of families. There are usually snacks and drinks for sale, but not anything for a full meal. I think last night the vendor was Maui Wowi Hawaiian Coffees and Smoothies. Last night the band was Smokin' Cobras, singing old time rock and roll, a little bit of Johnny Cash, Beach Boys, Swing, and a lot more. Everyone gets into the music and there was a lot of dancing. It was fun, fun, fun! The seats face west and the sun is right in your face until it sets. It does get hot during the summer time. Bring sun glasses, a hat, or an umbrella for shade. Once the sun goes down, the evenings are usually quite nice. Last night was a bit chilly. Temecula is such a great place to live!
