The Tijuana Cultural Center (CECUT), located in Zona Rio, is a must-visit for anyone in Tijuana. The center offers a variety of attractions, including an IMAX cinema, the permanent Museo de las Californias, an aquarium, and the Cube (Exhibition Space). We visited the Cube on a hot Saturday afternoon, and it was the perfect escape from the heat. Not only was the cool, air-conditioned space a welcome relief, but the modern art exhibits were absolutely exquisite. While I believe the exhibits rotate, during our visit the focus was on contemporary artists from Mexico and South America. The Cube spans three levels and features a wide variety of art forms--paintings, audio-visual art, and impressive installations. The entrance fee is very affordable, making it a great cultural stop for anyone visiting Tijuana. Highly recommended!

Great museum with so much history! I've been meaning to visit here for many years, and I'm so glad we stopped by on this trip. The entrance fee was very reasonable, and we spent about two hours on site. They have a theater on site, small botanical garden, museum and a coffee shop. Please take a side trip and visit this gem if you're in the area!

Nice place to spend the day on the weekends when they have the outdoor bazaars. They have people selling authentic Mexican food, clothes, toys, crystals, performances and concerts. Stuff is relatively cheap too. On the inside is their museum that has lots of Mexican cultural stuff like paintings m, statues and hand crafted items. There is also an imax theater that shows educational films. It's free to look at all the stuff. You can buy tickets to watch an imax film. There's also a garden and aquarium in the back outside. It's nice to take a walk thru it and look at all the plants, birds, and statues. Very peaceful place in the center of the city. There is also a small aquarium in the back as well. Great place to take the whole family.

Exterior of the dome, free concert at evening, TJ Jazz and Blues Festival, Jun 2, 2019 Sunday.

Was there for Tijuana Jazz and Blues fest (little of either kind of music but fine) ... Loved this museum, free, clean bathrooms.. Thank you for hosting. Saw the photography exhibit from current 1979 through 1998, sandinistas, Nicauraugua, miners, protests, etc. Great exhibit!

I love this movie theater and I go every time I'm in Tijuana. It's the second and smaller movie…read moretheater in Plaza Rio. It's located a bit further into the plaza whereas the regular Cinepolis is located right at the entrance. I think it's safe to say I've been here over 50 times. At one point in my life I used to watch a movie here twice every month. The workers are all so friendly and helpful. There's a nice lounge near the concession area that you can use if while you're waiting for your viewing room to open up. They have a menu that's exclusive to the VIP theatre. If you're running late and didn't have time to stop at the concession stand, you're able to order directly from your seat within the viewing room. It's usually pretty clean and I've never had a problem getting my tickets. The reclining chairs are comfortable, and while I rarely consume alcoholic beverages in movie theaters, I think it's great that they have the option for those that do. The crepes are my favorite snack. My favorite is blackberry jam with cream cheese.

It's located inside the mall and there is ample parking at the mall parking lot. Upon walking up there was no one working the ticket counter but after a brief wait we were asked what movie we wanted to see and purchased our tickets. It looked as though they were a bit understaffed because the person at the ticket counter then had to run behind the snack counter to help another customer. They have comfortable chairs but it smelled a bit mildewy when we walked in the theater. It could have been because it was the first showing of the day and the air conditioning had been off. The smell went away pretty quickly and the sound and picture were great.
