We went upstairs to use the bathroom and get our drinks before the show started which was definitely the right choice. Not nearly as busy up there and only one person ahead of us to use the bathroom. I saw some folks eating the infamous OB Noodle House wings and taking peanut butter shots, I had half a mind to stay up there for a while but we didn't want to miss the band! There's also an awesome rooftop patio with a view of the ocean that we didn't go to that night. Highly recommend checking it out for their happy hour. Back downstairs for the show and I've gotta give their staff props, they did a great job sweeping through the crowd and picking up empty drinks throughout the night. My only beef with this bar is, there were so many people smoking on the patios that you couldn't get away from the smell pretty much anywhere inside. I don't remember that being an issue on previous visits but it was horrible that night.

I went ahead and purchased our tickets which were very reasonable for a show. I love that Belly Up has its own website so people can still afford to attend their shows. We saw Grammy nominated and Father of Contemporary Jazz David Benoit perform all the Peanuts Christmas songs from A Charlie Brown Christmas. WOW! What a terrific show! We sat on the main floor right up close to the stage and we all had such a good time especially our daughter as it was a surprise show for her. The layout is perfect with lots of open space, a bar area, dance floor and a second level. It is quite large inside but you cannot see that from the outside. Acoustics are perfect and David Benoit is still the master of the piano. He had a guest vocalist Courtney Fortune which added to the evening performance. Parking is about the only challenge so we made sure to arrive extra early and grabbed a spot right out front. Also parking was free! I definitely recommend this venue for good service and great music.

We supplied our own alcohol and they did the rest! During the planning stage of the event, BRICK was extremely responsive and helped us with every tiny detail. We worked closely with Hannah, Sabrina, and Victoria. I would absolutely choose BRICK again!
